Alfred E. Boyers Sr.
Alfred Elwood Boyers Sr., 78, of Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Western Maryland Center.
Born June 5. 1921, in Harrisonburg, Va., he was the son of the late A. E. and Ressie Matilda Lloyd Boyers.
He was retired from Fairchild Aircraft Company and was founder of Boyers Two-Way Radio, Inc.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in the Philippines and Japan as a communications specialist.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte E. "Connie" Conrad Boyers; five daughters, Lynda E. Daley and Mary F. Kline, both of Hagerstown, Julie Carter of Falling Waters, W.Va., Krista L. Strock of Fairfield, Pa., and Paulette Robinson of Williamsport; two sons, Alfred E. Boyers Jr. of Hagerstown and Bruce C. Boyers of Clarksville, Ohio; three sisters, Louise Whitmore, Charlotte Corder and Nancy Perry, all of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, James Boyers of Oakton, Va., and Steve Boyers of Mt. Sydney, Va.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters; a sister, Agnes C. Good and two brothers, Charles E. Boyers and Ralph W. Boyers.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church, 951 Woodland Way, Hagerstown. The Rev. James Moore will officiate.

Dora L. Mazingo
Dora Lee Mazingo, 78, of 838 Georgia Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 1, 1921, in Standardsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Rosa Morris Hensley.
Her husband, Charles E. Mazingo Sr., died in 1988.
She is survived by four daughters, Lena Mae Jenkins, Shirley Jean Hiser, Madeline Mazingo and Sharon Carol Mazingo, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, Nora Lee Foltz and Maggie Lee King, both of Hagerstown, 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Mazingo and two sons, Charles E. Mazingo Jr. and Robert Lawrence Mazingo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eugene E. Ahalt
BOWIE, Md. - Eugene Edgar Ahalt, 69, of 12323 White Hall Road, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 19, 1930, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late Edgar Flook and Clara Anna Thomas Ahalt.
He was a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he received a B.S. degree.
He was employed with Hyattsville Post Office until his retirement.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Riverdale, Md., for over 50 years.
He is survived by a sister, Barbara A. Maloney of Lebanon, Pa.; two nieces, Tami Windholz of Stewartstown, Pa. and Cathy Maloney of Philadelphia; one nephew, Timothy Maloney of Annville, Pa.; two great-nephews and a great-niece.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The Rev. Douglas Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.

Ellsworth E. McGaha
FREDERICK, Md. - Ellsworth E. McGaha, 82, of Frederick, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1917, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late Henry A. and Rosa M. Eader McGaha.
He was a 1934 graduate of Middletown High School.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He began his career with Rosenour's Clothing store in Frederick in 1934. From 1936 to 1959, he was employed by Kemp's Department Store. In 1959, he and Carl Fink purchased the Young Men's Shop on North Market Street, and in 1982 he purchased Carl Fink's share in the business and continued to operate it until retiring in 1985.
He was a life member of Christ Reformed Church of Middletown, where he held offices in the church school and on the cemetery board, among others.
He served as Town Commissioner in Middletown. He was a member and past president of Middletown Lions Club; and also held the office of Deputy District Governor. He was a member and past president of Middletown PTA; past commander of Middletown American Legion; member of Lynch Lodge 163 AF&AM, now Columbia Lodge 58; and past Worthy Patron of Middletown Chapter of the Eastern Star.
He was a member of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, past president of Downtown Frederick Association, and served as a parking commissioner and also the Parking Commission's chairman.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mae Toms McGaha; three sons, Terry W. McGaha at home, David A. McGaha of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Dennis E. McGaha of Winchester, Va.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Morgan of Dayton, Ohio.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 12 S. Church St. in Middletown. Inurnment will be private.

Audrey J. Schrayer
DICKERSON, Md. - Audrey Jane Schrayer, 67, of 19304 Mouth of Monacacy Road, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Gaithersburg, Md.
Born Feb. 14, 1932, in Rosehill, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Ethel Caroline Ramsey Seabolt Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Henry Schrayer Sr., in 1967.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia L. Shaffer of Falling Waters, W.Va., Bertha A. Ricketts of Dickerson and Linda J. Beemer of Baltimore; a son, Arthur H. Schrayer Jr. of Gaithersburg; a sister, Stella L. Lamb of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four brothers, Lloyd E. Seabolt and Campbell W. Seabolt, both of Gaithersburg, Melvin L. Seabolt of Keedysville and Charles F. Seabolt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Schrayer; two sisters, Betty R. Lamb and Georgia M. Seabolt; and two brothers, James L. Seabolt and Woodrow R. Seabolt.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown. The Rev. Victor Zuck will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery in Frederick, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donald L. Mason Sr.
Donald Lynn "Donny" Mason Sr., 48, of 17138 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1951, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Leslie James and Jane C. Carter Mason Sr.
He was employed as a machinist by A&C Auto Machine Inc., Halfway, and as an auto-technician at Hagerstown Raceway.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Marie Swope Mason; a daughter, Lisa Marie Moats of Halfway; a son, Donald L. Mason Jr. at home; and a brother, Paul Leroy Mason of State Line, Pa.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie James Mason Jr.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Denny Newcomer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open Monday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
