Adrian D. Irving
Adrian Dean "Sonny" Irving, 75, of 19315 Reidtown Road, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 17, 1924, in Beaver Creek, he was the son of the late Frank and Julia Fulton Irving.
He was a farmer in Washington County; and worked at The Purolater and Loomis Armored Car Co. as manager, retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise Rogers Irving; a daughter, Judith C. Rudy of Middletown, Md.; a sister, Phyllis Wolfe Groh of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean F. Shafer; six sisters, Mary Ruth Klaschus, Doris Irving, Edna Irving, Jessie Irving, Kathleen Irving and Nellie Irving; and a brother, Robert Irving.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Harold Hollister will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles J. Wade
CASCADE - Charles J. "Bud" Wade, 74, of Ritchie Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born June 22, 1925, in Cascade, he was the son of the late Norman E. and Virgie M. Cline Wade.
He was employed for G.A.F. (Grit Mill) at Charmaine, Pa., for 24 years.
He is survived by two sisters, Pearl M. Weagley of Smithsburg and Irene J. Wade of Cascade; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma M. Wade.
Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg. The Rev. Jonathan D. Laye will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nancy C. Fisher
BALTIMORE. Md. - Nancy C. Sullivan Fisher, of Baltimore, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. C. Larry Fisher; a son, Charles L. Fisher Jr., of Randelstown, Md.; two daughters, Anne Goodes of Reidsville, N.C., and Lynne Murhpy of Bel Air, Md.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Zion Church, 7146 Golden Ring Road, Ring Gold, Md.
Arrangements are by Lassahn Funeral Home, Baltimore.
Mary R. Keller
SHARPSBURG - Mary Rebecca "Becky" Keller, 53, formerly of 17601 Taylor's Landing, Sharpsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 21, 1946, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Gerald A. and Eleanor J. Shinham Keller of Sharpsburg.
She was a 1964 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and a member of the National Honor Society.
She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Suzanne M. Reid of Sharpsburg; paternal grandmother, Ellen Keller of Hagerstown; and a nephew.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth E. Hoffman
BOONSBORO - Ruth E. Hoffman, 76, of 19833 Harmony Hill Lane, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 15, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hilda Miller Black.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Boonsboro, and the W.E.L.C.A.
She was a member of Lappans Homemakers Club.
She is survived by four daughters, Beverly DeBaugh, Sharon Semler and Ruth Leizear, all of Boonsboro, and Susan Schuck of Portland, Texas; two sons, Kenneth Hoffman of Boonsboro and Robert Hoffman of Hagerstown; one brother, Robert Black of Pittsburgh; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Black.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph I. Donovan III will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.; and Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Samuel D. Smith Sr.
FREDERICK, Md. - Samuel Dean Smith Sr., 37, of Frederick, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at his home.
Born Feb. 13, 1962, he was the son of Robert Leroy and Priscilla J. Carpenter Smith.
He was a self-employed roofer and carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Donna L. Smith; one daughter, Michelle Lee Smith; one son, Samuel D. Smith Jr.; two stepchildren, Tyler R. Smith and Colby D. Smith; one sister, Sarah J. Holmes; one brother, Christopher D. Smith; paternal grandmother, Marie Smith; two grandchildren; and one nephew.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The Rev. Richard P. Rutkauskas will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery in Frederick.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Irene C. Jacobs
Irene C. Jacobs, 89, of 55 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at Leewood Nursing Home in Annandale, Va.
Born Dec. 22, 1910, in Fort Loudon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Victor M. and Ella M. Mummart St. Clair.
Her husband, Solomon E. Jacobs, preceded her in death.
She was employed by Hagerstown Shoe Co.
She was of the Brethren faith.
She is survived by one son, Ellis V. St. Clair of Springfield, Va.; two granddaughters, Barbara J. Ritchey of Orange Park, Fla., and Lori D. St. Clair of Roanoke, Va.; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown, one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
