Lu Ann Armstrong
Lu Ann Armstrong, 44, of 336 Belview Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 18, 1955, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of Albert L. and Mary Jane O'Neal Sines of Boonsboro.
She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She was employed as a credit analyst by Citicorp.
She was a Protestant.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Paul J. Armstrong, whom she married
April 18, 1981; a daughter, Kaitlin E. Armstrong, at home; a sister, Betty Shoemaker of Hagerstown; two brothers, Richard Sines of Boonsboro and Larry Sines of Funkstown; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Richard A. Kroll will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.

Margaret S. James
FREDERICK, Md. - Margaret Sager James, 89, of Homewood Retirement Center, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born July 26, 1910, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Rohrer and Edith M. Harman Sager.
She was a 1928 graduate of Frederick High School. She received her bachelor's degree in 1932 from Hood College.
She was employed as a social worker by Baltimore Emergency Relief Association, Frederick County Welfare Board and Washington County Welfare Board.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church; and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Greensburg, Pa.
She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Greensburg College Club and Greensburg AAUW.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll Staley James, whom she married
Sept. 1, 1934; a daughter, Martha J. Nichols of Jarrettsville, Md.; four grandchildren, Christine Guelcher, Lauren Jones, Douglas Nichols and Ryan Nichols; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carroll S. James Jr.; a brother, Jack Sager; and a sister, Elizabeth S. Miller.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Robert E. Manthey will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carrie E. Cronise
Carrie Eleanor Cronise, 88, of Devonshire Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 23, 1910, in Beaver Creek, she was the daughter of the late Clayton E. and Fannie E. Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S. Warner Cronise.
She was a retired employee of Fairchild Aircraft.
She was a member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.
She is survived by her friend and caretaker, Kathleen L. Kegarise of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Cronise in 1996; and 12 sisters and brothers.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
There will be no evening visitation or viewing. Friends will be received Friday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
George F. Holloway
George Forgan "Buster" Holloway, 87, of 633 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Ravenwood Nursing Home.
Born July 24, 1912, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Skinner Holloway.
He owned and operated Holloway's Marine, retiring in 1996.
He restored antique cars.
He was a member of Potomac Fish and Game Club; and B.P.O. Elks 378 of Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Mae Holloway; a daughter, Connie Britner of Sterling, Va.; a son, Ronald L. Holloway of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother, James F. Holloway of Plano, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolly Aurelio and Thelma Kincaid.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Wayne L. Schwanke will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Violet D. DeLauder
Violet D. DeLauder, 82, of 542 Chestnut St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mabel Butts Hasenbuhler.
She formerly was employed by Interwoven, L'Aiglon and Dorbee Manufacturing.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Golden Membership Club; Last Chord Club; and AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David E. DeLauder; and a daughter, Sue Ann Justice of Betsy Layne, Ky.
She was preceded in death by a sister; Pearl Knode; and six brothers, Arthur Hasenbuhler, Edward Hasenbuhler, Floyd Hasenbuhler, Marvin Hasenbuhler, Fred Hasenbuhler and Herbert Hasenbuhler.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Susan Hallager will officiate.

Marian G. Wade
Marian Gladys Wade, 76, of 119 W. Antietam St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Center in Hagerstown.
Born May 30, 1923, in Harrisburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Gladys Loretta Bolitho Brandt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lee Wade, in 1988.
She was a homemaker.
She was a Methodist.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Shawna Hightman, with whom she lived; a brother, Charles William Brandt of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Loretta Hightman Lynch; three sisters, Evelyn Fair, Mildred Weller and Dorothy Lovell; and two brothers, Harold Brandt and Robert Brandt.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
