Madge M. Wetzel
Madge Marie Wetzel, 83, of 216 Willard St., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Home.
Born April 15, 1916, in Security, Md., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Violet H. Godlove Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Wetzel, in 1993.
She is survived by one brother, J. Hoit Williams of Hagerstown; and one grandson, Shawn W. Wetzel of Williamsport.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Marcus L. Williams.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Willie H. Milton
BUENA PARK, Calif. - Willie Henry Milton, 51, of Buena Park, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Born Dec. 10, 1948, in Rosedell, Miss., he was the son of Mahaly Wilson Milton of Long Beach, Calif., and the late Anderson Milton.
He was employed by General Motors Corp.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mattie Ree Williams Milton; one daughter, Jocelyn J. Milton, at home; three sisters, Lolar B. Mustapha of Los Angeles, Lucille Harris of Long Beach and Ollie May Milton of Moundbayou, Miss.; two brothers, Anderson Milton Jr. of Moundbayou and Henry Milton of Bakersfield, Calif.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Dudley Baptist Church, 115 N. Raleigh St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Patrick J. Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery in Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
Eleanor R. Lehrer
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Eleanor Royer Lehrer, 83, of Alexandria, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at her home.
Born Dec. 19, 1915, in Welsh Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Nevin and Ruth Troupe Royer.
She graduated with honors from Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C., in 1938; and attended what is now Strayer University in Washington, D.C.
She taught school in Pennsylvania for two years. She had retired from the U.S. Labor Department as a statistician.
She was a founding member of Mount Vernon Unitarian Church, was on the newsletter staff and volunteered with the holiday shop.
In Alexandria, she was a community service volunteer; a member of Tauxemont Community Association; and was active in League of Women Voters and American Association of University Women.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander Lehrer, whom she married
in 1947; one daughter, Dana Lehrer Mitchell of Annandale, Va.; two sons, Edward A. Lehrer of Alexandria and David L. Lehrer of Oakland, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Rohrer Seibert of Clear Spring; two brothers, Bill Royer of Syracuse, N.Y., and John Royer of Columbus, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Alexandria.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's local American Cancer Society Chapter.
Genevieve Anspacher
Genevieve Anspacher, 77, formerly of 26 1/2 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 19, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Russell F. and Edna Mae Cromer Cromer.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
George A. Rhinehart
OCALA, Fla. - George A. Rhinehart, 77, of 2425 S.W. 3rd Ave., No. 156, and formerly of the Shippensburg, Pa., area, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala.
Born Sept. 16, 1922, in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late George Ellis and Zora Nehf Rhinehart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Stouffer Rhinehart, on Nov. 12, 1999.
He was a 1940 graduate of Shippensburg High School.
He attended First Church of God, Ocala.
He was a member of Hub City Club; Minnequea Club; Durff-Kuhn VFW 6168; and American Legion Post 223, all of Shippensburg; and I.B.E.W. Union.
He worked for G.E. Rhinehart and Sons Electrical Co., Shippensburg; Jay's Electrical, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; I.B.E.W. Electrical Union, Harrisburg, Pa., at Three Mile Island. He owned and operated restaurants in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by one daughter, Carole Gardner of Newburg, Pa.; one son, George L. Rhinehart of Camillus, N.Y.; four stepchildren, R. Michael Scott and Judy Yoder, both of Baltimore, Terra S. McLaughlin of Ocala and Tanya Hale of Fairbanks, Alaska; four sisters, Beatrice Newell and Joan Serino, both of Shippensburg, Betty Rhinehart of Carlisle, Pa., and Doris Coleman of Chambersburg; two brothers, Marlin Rhinehart of Chambersburg and Robert Rhinehart of Shippensburg; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Carl Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, near Chambersburg.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A memorial service for his wife, Judy S. Rhinehart, will be held at the same time.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Harold A. Twentey
Harold Arthur Twentey, 85, of 11317 Manse Road, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 16, 1914, in Frederick County, Md., he was the son of the late George Leonard and Sadie Ellen Twentey.
He retired in 1983 from the State of Maryland, as a fuel investigator.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown and he was a member of the Sunday School Orchestra since 1967.
He was a tuba player with the Hagerstown Municipal Band, retiring in 1990 after 42 years. He also played with Yellow Springs Band, Little German Band, Maryland National Guard Band 29th Division, R.C. Army Band, Maryland State Guard Band, 348 Army Service Force Band, Tall Cedars Band, Ali-Ghan Shrine Band, Rohrersville Band and Harmony Concert Band. He also played in orchestras, Sperry Stern, Joe Stevens, Dave Hagen, Ozzo Fagen and Zion Church.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 378, Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, Ali-Ghan Temple, St. Bernard Command No. 9 Knights Templer, Royal Arch Masonry, Tall Cedars Lebanon Hagerstown, Shrine Club and Musicians Union. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and Civitan Clubs of Frederick and Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen A. Grimm Twentey; four daughters, Sylvia Sib Corderman and Sandra K. Daymude, both of Hagerstown, Sharon E. Clark of Inwood, W.Va., and Debra A. Snoots of Phoenix; one sister, Eloise Himes of Frederick; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, M. Rita Beachley, Nellie V. Cannon and Mildred L. Everhart and three brothers, Roy L. Twentey, Lewis E. Twentey and G. Ross Twentey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. David M. Buchenroth will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery, Sharpsburg. Military graveside services will be conducted by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Walter B. Hines
KEEDYSVILLE - Walter Brooks "Pete" Hines, 88, of 3643 Chestnut Grove Road, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Dec. 19, 1910, in Grant County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Morra and Emma Frances Herman Hines.
He was formerly employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and retired from Martin Marietta Corp., Baltimore.
He was a member of Chestnut Grove Bible Church where he was a former elder and Adult Sunday School Class teacher for 40 years.
He was a member of AARP.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Thelma M. Daugherty Hines; one stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Conner Gettling of Severna Park, Md.; one sister, Geneva Hines Ingram of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Stillwell, Letha Brooks and Myrtle Everly and three brothers, Harry Hines, Morra Hines and Wilbur Hines.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Bible Church. The Rev. Bruce Gephart and the Rev. Dale Carver will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Friends may also call at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
