Jerry A. Remsburg
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Jerry Allen Remsburg, 47, of 3511 Roy Shafer Road, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born March 20, 1952, in Frederick, Md., he was the son of Viola Elizabeth Long Remsburg of Middletown and the late Albert Lewis Remsburg.
He was employed by RFP Inc. in Middletown.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Juanita Robertson Remsburg; two sons, Michael Robertson of Hagerstown and Jerry Remsburg Jr. of Middletown; sisters and brothers, Delores Morrissey of Taneytown, Md., Roger Remsburg of Myersville, Md., Idella Abbs and Jim Remsburg, both of Middletown, Bonnie Nusbaum of Mount Airy, Md., Gail Keller of Newport News, Va., and Terry Main of Brunswick, Md.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Remsburg Jr.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St. in Middletown. The Rev. Mark L. Foucart, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Walkersville, Md., will officiate.
Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.

Robert C. Kaercher
Robert Charles Kaercher, 75, of 13525 Paradise Church Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 24, 1924, in Elizabeth, N.J., he was the son of the late Charles Frederick and Rosemary Olive McNamara Kaercher.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Helen J. Kaercher, in 1985.
He retired from Mack Trucks as a supervisor. Later, he was employed by Central Motors Dodge and then Keystone Ford.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Funkstown American Legion Dixon Troxell Post 211 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Greencastle Post 6319.
He is survived by his former wife, Beryl L. Kaercher of Hagerstown; two daughters, Deborah A. Williams Palmer and Andrea C. Wyand, both of Hagerstown; two stepdaughters, Beverly Arvin of Hagerstown and Melody Jacques of Smithsburg; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Eck.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave. in Hagerstown. Monsignor Edward W. Manalis will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown.
Virginia S. Wills
Virginia Shenk Wills, of 149 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, who died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, is survived by a son, Harold E. Wills at home.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home in Hagerstown.
Robert J. Baker
Robert Junior "Bob" Baker, 78, of Maryland Avenue, Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in Winchester, Va.
Born Sept. 16, 1921, in New Market, Va., he was the son of the late John and Daisy Dinges Baker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Schreck Baker.
He had worked as a taxi driver for Diamond Cab Co. in Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Carpenter's Union in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester. The Rev. Steven Wymer will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hebron cemetery in Winchester.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nettie F. Parks
KNOXVILLE, Md. - Nettie Faye Parks, 77, of 3103 Addition Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at Frederick Health Care Center in Frederick, Md.
Born Feb. 1, 1922, in Grayson County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lester and Jettie Crouse Jones.
She was a retired seamstress with Hartz and Co. in Frederick.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Anne Hopwood of Burkittsville, Md.; a half brother, Willie Eastwood of California; and two grandchildren, Angie Hopwood and William James Hopwood II, both of Burkittsville.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Lettie Mae Yarnell; and three brothers, Arlen Y. Jones, Carl B. Jones and Allen Jones.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road in Brunswick, Md. The Rev. James Painter will officiate. Burial will be in Union cemetery in Burkittsville.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

James L. Mongan Jr.
James Lester Mongan Jr., 77, of 12 S. Walnut St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at Washington County Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born June 3, 1922, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late James L. and Frances Beth Kridler Mongan Sr.
He was employed as an auto mechanic with Massey Ford.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fouch Mongan; two daughters, Sharon Whittaker and Nancy Kane, both of Hagerstown; five sons, James L. Mongan III of Greencastle, Pa., Larry D. Cross of Hancock, Stanley Cross Jr. of Bean Station, Tenn., Donald Cross of St. Louis, and Joe Cross of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a sister, Faith Miller of Hagerstown; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. Chaplain Robert Brechbiel will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, with military honors conducted by members of American Legion Morris Frock Post 42.

Donard L. Williams
SEBRING, Fla. - Donard L. Williams, 63, of Sebring and formerly of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at his home.
Born Dec. 15, 1935, in Hebron, Ohio, he was the son of Clara Price Williams of Hebron and the late Clarence Williams.
He was a retired pilot for United Air Lines.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Josie Newberry Williams; a daughter, Sharon Stefanko of Belvedere, S.C.; a son, Brent Williams of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a sister, Nancy Bain of Sebring; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donard C. Williams.
Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Mark D. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
