Marvin R. Kershner
Marvin Reed Kershner, 59, of 17325 Da Wrong Lane in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 15, 1940, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Irvin M. and Glendine M. Reed Kershner.
He was a 1958 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, where he was valedictorian of his class. He was a 1962 graduate of Carnegie Institute of Technology, receiving a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He was employed by Mack Trucks as a project engineer.
He was a member of Public Relations Team at Mack Trucks, a past member of Institute of Industrial Engineers, and editor of Powertrain Press newsletter at Mack Trucks.
He was an active member and past superintendent of the South Mountain Division of Mid-East Region of National Model Railroaders Association, and a member of Train Collectors Association.
He is survived by his former wife, Kathryn L. Kubina Kershner of Hagerstown; a daughter, Sally Katherine Kershner of Reisterstown, Md.; and a son, David Michael Kershner of Beverly, Mass.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Marvin Kershner in 1983.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 226 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Jack Fullen will be celebrant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown; prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m.
John P. Bugle
HANCOCK - John Paul Bugle, 52, of Vista Village, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at his home.
Born June 19, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Herbert W. Bugle of Long Island, N.Y., and the late Gertrude E. Callaway.
He was an aircraft circuit assembler for CTI in Long Island.
He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Karen J. Kreitzer Bugle of Hancock, whom he married
May 3, 1969; a daughter, Allison Lynn Gumber of New York City; and a sister, Jessica Lynn Bearns of Levittown, N.Y.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Evergreen cemetery in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Gloria A. Carneal-Sewell
PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Gloria A. Carneal-Sewell, 60, of Port Orange, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Born Sept. 6, 1939, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Luther B. and Dorothy Kauffman Hammersla.
She retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She is survived by her husband, E.R. "Ray" Sewell; two daughters, Tamara Holbrook of South Daytona, Fla., and Deborah Kief of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; a son, Barry Shutts Sr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Loretta K. See of Martinsburg and Carol H. Greer of Leesburg, Va.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Prather.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Pastor Lois Dunham will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg.
Roscoe B. Martin
FREDERICK, Md. - Roscoe Baker Martin, 91, of Frederick, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Citizens Nursing Home in Frederick.
Born March 27, 1908, near Mount Airy, Md., he was the son of the late Tobias Peter and Stella May Baker Martin.
He retired in January 1987, after owning and operating general stores in Walkersville, Md.; New Market, Md.; New London, Md.; Lewistown, Md.; Libertytown, Md.; and Greensburg, Md.
He was a member of the Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Main Martin, whom he married
April 20, 1930; three daughters, Frances E. Ausherman of Frederick, Margaret M. Jacobson of Hagerstown and Carolyn A. Robinson of Florida; two sons, Vernon M. Martin of Frederick and Stanley R. Martin of Boyds, Md.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roscoe B. Martin Jr. in 1935; a grandson; two sisters; and six brothers.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road in Damascus, Md. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Monrovia, Md.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tyler L. Cline
Tyler Leighn Cline, infant son of Jody Allen Cline and Crystal Lee Stark of 1317 Jay St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at his home.
He was born Oct. 27, 1999, in Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Brittany Stark, at home; paternal grandparents Gary and Terri Gable of Williamsport; maternal grandmother Evangeline Royce of Hagerstown; paternal great-grandparents Walter and Betty Cline of Hagerstown; maternal great-grandmother Elgarda Fuller of Pocomoke City, Md.; aunts and uncles.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown. The Rev. Kenneth Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evelyn M. Baker
Evelyn Mary Baker, 88, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Potomac Towers in Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Mayberry and Martha Holmes Gifft.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian H. Baker, in 1960.
She was a member of Chestnut Grove Bible Church in Keedysville.
She was a member of AARP, R.S.V.P., and Ladies' Moose 342 of Hagerstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Juanita Kees of Winchester, Va.; a son, Wayne E. Baker Sr. of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Friday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. The Rev. Bruce Gephart officiated.
There was no viewing.

Roger L. Haupt
MOUNT LENA - Roger Lee Haupt, 67, of Mount Lena, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 22, 1932, in Mount Lena, he was the son of the late Carlton E. Sr. and Elizabeth R. Lum Haupt.
He was a 1950 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Potomac Edison Co., retiring in 1987.
He was a member of Mount Lena United Methodist Church; and attended Grace Brethren Church of Hagerstown.
He was a member of Four Runners Club, and Quarter Century Club of Potomac Edison Co. He coached Little League and was a member of the Little League district staff.
He is survived by his wife, June Powell Haupt; two sons, Greg L. Haupt of Cearfoss and Roger Jeffrey Haupt of Mount Lena; a sister, Audrey E. Mong of Rouzerville, Pa.; a brother, Carlton E. Haupt Jr. of Mount Lena; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Lena Cemetery, with military services by Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion. Dean Pryor, Bob Dell and Elza Hurst will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
