Sarah N. Herrmann
Sarah Neely Herrmann, 82, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 20, 1917, in Fairfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Maude Maxell Neely.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and as an active member of the Alter Guild and Mothers' Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Phillip A. Herrmann; one daughter, Nina Donnelley of Chicago; one brother, James Maxell of Gettysburg, Pa.; two step grandchildren; four great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Neely, Henry Neely and Horace Neely.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. David B. Kaplan will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Kenneth K. Mark
BOONSBORO - Kenneth Kneal Mark, 61, of 7524 Mountain Laurel Road, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born June 21, 1938, in Loganton, Pa., he was the son of Dorothy L. Fidler Mark of Loganton, and the late George Spayd Mark.
He was employed with Antietam Cable Television.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Clopper Michael Post 10 American Legion, Boonsboro and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Lodge 694.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Cindy D. Mark; two sons, Kevin N. Mark of Boonsboro and Kerry L. Mark of Sharpsburg; one stepdaughter, Dawn Hutzell Milburn of Keedysville; one sister, Esther Ilgen of Tylersville, Pa.; two brothers, John C. Mark of Castnea, Pa. and Gary L. Mark of Loganton; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas L. Mark.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Brian Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery, Boonsboro.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ava M. McClung
Ava Marie "Avory" McClung, 57, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 24, 1942, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Ina Ethel Henson Miller.
She was employed by Avalon Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring.
She is survived by a sister, Elaine Bragunier of Hagerstown; a niece; and a nephew.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. R. Terrence Foor will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Linnie J. Mickley
Linnie Jean Mickley, 81, of 720 Spruce St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 30, 1918, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Howard and Edna Violet Johns Stephens.
She retired from C.E.T.A. in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church.
She is survived by three sons, Clive C. Spoonhour of Williamsport, Michael Jon Mickley of Chambersburg and Daniel W. Mickley of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Virginia Short and Audrey Berryhill.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln cemetery in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edith Henning
BOONSBORO - Edith Henning, 71, of 6123 Moser Road, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at her home.
Born June 18, 1928, in Wensowen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Therese Dzubiel Dzienian.
She retired in 1993 as a secretary for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Md.
She was a member of Middletown Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Middletown, where she was the church clerk and head deaconess.
She is survived by her husband, Rudi H. Henning; a daughter, Doris B. Diener of Hagerstown; a son, Volker R. Henning of Collegedale, Tenn.; two sisters, Erna Geduhn and Else Schmitt, both of Germany; two brothers, Werner Dzienian of Germany and Ewald Dzienian of Poland; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Willi Dzienian.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. The Rev. Sherwood Pangborn will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

Milton L. McQuay
WILLIAMSPORT - Milton LeRoy " Mac" McQuay, 69, of 9603 Cafoxa Drive, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at his home.
Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of John Milton McQuay of Baltimore and the late Louise Matilda Mayhew McQuay.
He was employed as a sales representative for Pitney-Bowes Inc., retiring in 1992. During his retirement, he worked for Glessner Alarm and Communication Company in Hagerstown.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He completed 21 missions and received a medal of honor.
He was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in Williamsport.
He was a member of Tuesday Nite Bowling League at Turner's Southside Bowl.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Padgett McQuay of Williamsport; two daughters, Lisa Maria Gossard of Hagerstown and Sheri Lynne McQuay at home; a sister, Jean M. Camponi of Baltimore; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen B. McQuay and David A. McQuay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 32 E. Potomac St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will be celebrant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Monday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
A Prayer Service will be Monday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
