Jack R. Naugle
Jack Roland Naugle, 80, of 11007 Roessner Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 17, 1919, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry P. and Clara Bender Naugle.
He retired from Western Maryland/Chessie System.
He served in the U.S. Army in Company C Railway Operations Battalion in the European Theater during World War II. He was a staff sergeant.
He was a charter member of Church of the Holy Trinity U.C.C.
He was a life member of VFW Post 6319 of Greencastle, Pa., B.P.O.E. Lodge 378, American Legion Post 42 and Western Maryland Oldtimers Club.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel E. Henry Naugle; two sons, Jack R. Naugle Jr. of Plainfield, Ill., and Michael J. Naugle of Mount Airy, Md.; a brother, Robert H. Naugle of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. David Schlicher will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William R. Peck
PEARLAND, Texas - William R. Peck, 55, of Pearland, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999.
He was born in Hagerstown.
He retired from Southwestern Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dora May Peck; two daughters, Amy Smith and Cindy Peck; two sisters, Patty Junker and Mary Keller; and a brother, David Peck.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Linda M. Pengelly
WILLIAMSPORT - Linda Mae Pengelly, 91, formerly of 16820 Hampton Road, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.
Born Feb. 4, 1908, in Abergynfi, Wales, she was the daughter of the late William Benjamin and Mary Jenkins Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert T. Pengelly.
She previously was employed by South Side Hospital in Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by a son, John Pengelly of Hagerstown; two sisters, Irene Layland of Allentown, Pa., and Doreen Pengelly of Alna, Maine; a brother, Emrys Collins of Vero Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Willard F. Rahn will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arvin L. Eby
WILLIAMSPORT - Arvin Laray Eby, 16, of 14256 Clear Spring Road, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Washington County Hospital from injuries received in an accident at his home.
Born Aug. 30, 1983, in Hagerstown, he was the son of C. Lester Eby Sr. of Williamsport and the late Doris M. Eby Eby.
He attended Hillside Mennonite School in Huyetts, Md.
He worked on the family farm.
He was a member of Clear Spring Mennonite Church in Clear Spring.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Mary E. Martin Eby; five sisters, Karen L. Diller of Chambersburg, Pa., Diane L. Strite, Darlis L. Eby and Fonda L. Eby, all of Williamsport, and Brenda L. Martin of London, Ky.; two brothers, Carl L. Eby Jr. of Hagerstown and Kevin L. Eby of Williamsport; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Clear Spring Mennonite Church on Clear Spring Road Route 68 in Clear Spring. Bishop Darrel E. Martin, Ministers Clifford E. Martin, Dale L. Horst and Deacon Jonas Eby will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Edna M. Buhrman
FREDERICK, Md. - Edna Marie Albaugh Buhrman, 97, of West Seventh Street, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at College View Center.
Born Feb. 9, 1902, in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry Ellis and Rosa Measell Albaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff R. Paul Buhrman, in 1953.
In the 1940s, she began driving the Utica (Md.) school bus to Lewistown, Md., Elm Street and Frederick High School. She also worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the admitting office.
She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Sunday School at Utica. She served as primary superintendent. She was a charter member of the Utica Lutheran Woman's League and had served several terms as president.
She was an active member of Lewistown Homemakers Club; she served as president and state international chairman.
She graduated from Rural Woman's Short Course Club, University of Maryland, having a record attendance of 14 years.
She was the leader of Pilot's Crew, a young active church group, and was leader of the Lewistown Girls 4-H Club.
In October 1987 she was honored with the "Twentieth Golden Hand of Friendship" award, given by the late Harry Rosenfeld, owner of the Frederick Shopping Center. In May 1988, she was chosen by the Frederick Jaycees as the "Outstanding Senior Citizen."
She is survived by two sons, David L. Buhrman and Fuzzy Buhrman, both of Frederick; a daughter, Kathleen B. French of Orlando, Fla.; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St. in Frederick. The Rev. Robert S. McEllroy III, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Utica, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery in Frederick.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
