Ralph C. Replogle
CLEAR SPRING - Ralph C. Replogle, 62, of 13236 National Pike, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 4, 1937, in Altoona, Pa., he was the son of the late Curtis C. and Alrue Dively Replogle.
He was employed as a truck driver by Blue Seal Feeds in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Waterside Church of the Brethren in Woodbury, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Reighard Replogle, whom he married
Nov. 11, 1957; and a daughter, Rhonda Replogle of Clear Spring.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rea Replogle.
Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. The Rev. Michael Benner will officiate. Burial will be in Replogle Cemetery, Woodbury.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Peggy A. Snoots
FREDERICK, Md. - Peggy A. Harrison Boone Snoots, 74, of 212 Linden Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at her home.
Born Feb. 20, 1925, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Harrison Jr. and Elsie Louise Bare Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leroy Boone, in 1969; and her second husband, Roy W. Snoots, in 1998.
She was a 1942 graduate of Frederick High School.
She had been employed at Sears in Frederick as a sales manager in the men's department, and later in the catalog department, until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Walkersville, Md.
She is survived by two sons, David L. Boone of Williamsport and Michael L. Boone of Westminster, Md.; two stepsons, Kenneth Snoots of Frederick and the Rev. Arthur Snoots of Orange, Va.; a sister, Mary Virginia Kline of Florida; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Dodson Mehaffie; and five brothers, Ralph Harrison, Ervin Harrison, Leroy Harrison, Kenneth Harrison and Garwood Harrison.
Services were held Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Walkersville. The Rev. Mark L. Foucart officiated. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family received friends Monday at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
Orpha A. Graham
HANCOCK - Orpha A. Graham, 76, of Weller Road, Hancock, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown.
Born May 23, 1923, near Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Emmert L. and Blanche M. Myers Keefer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Owen Graham, in 1975.
She was a farmer and homemaker.
She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church near Hancock.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet I. Woyick of Hagerstown; three sons, Gerald O. Graham and Wesley L. Graham, both of Big Pool, and Vernon C. Graham of Hancock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Tollgate Ridge Road. The Revs. Frank Kocek and Dennis Whitmore will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Patricia H. Morgan
Patricia Helen Morgan, 65, of 12 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 3, 1934, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Madeline Virginia Whisner Beard of Hagerstown and the late John Harvey Ganoe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert W. Morgan, in 1962.
She was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary's High School.
She was a Catholic.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Anthony Morgan of Falling Waters, W.Va., Ron Marlin of Racine, Wis., and Wayne Chambers of Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Peggy Mowen and Nancy Brezler, both of Hagerstown; three brothers, Steve Ganoe of Pennsylvania, Jack Ganoe of West Virginia and Greg Nutter of Hagerstown; two half sisters, Joann Nutter of Hagerstown and Twanna Nutter of Delaware; three half brothers, Frank Nutter, Donnie Nutter and Gary Nutter, all of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Christopher Moore will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Howard J. Grove
HANCOCK - Howard J. Grove, 94, of Main Street, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 9, 1905, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Isaac D. and Captiola Neal Grove.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Marie Stotlemyer Grove, in 1993.
He was a funeral director at Leaf Funeral Home in Williamsport. He owned and operated Grove Funeral Home in Hancock from 1951 until his retirement.
He was a member of Hancock United Methodist Church.
He was a former member of Mediary Lodge No. 140 AF & AM in Williamsport; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 95 in Hagerstown; and AREME Chapter No. 58 Order of the Eastern Star. He served one term on the Williamsport Town Council, one term on the Hancock Town Council and two terms as judge of the Orphans Court of Washington County. He was a former member and past president of Hancock War Memorial Library. He was a charter member and past president of Williamsport Lions Club and, later, a member and past president of Hancock Lions Club. He was instrumental in establishing the Hancock Rescue Squad.
He is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Miller of Williamsport and Dorothy L. Jones of Westminster, Md.; a son, Richard J. Grove of Hancock; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Miller; and five brothers, Isaac N. Grove, Emory S. Grove, W.J. Brian Grove, Doyle L. Grove and Woodrow W. Grove.
Service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hancock United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Brethren Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, which will be open at 3 p.m.

Arline J. Shanholtz
Arline Joyce Shanholtz, 78, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 3, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mary Rummel Provard.
She retired from Fairchild Industries. She also was a beautician for 12 years.
She was a member of Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul William Shanholtz; three daughters, Paula Jean Ganoe, Sharon Lee Cullison and Mary Lou Rebecca Dean, all of Hagerstown; a son, Isaac Russell Shanholtz of Hagerstown; two sisters, Violet Boward and Betty Stubits, both of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Toms.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Charles Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
