Cordelia J. Funk
BOONSBORO - Cordelia Jane Funk, 85, of Fahrney Keedy Home, 8507 Mapleville Road in Boonsboro, and formerly of Wolfsville, Md., died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at the home.
Born Nov. 19, 1913, in Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late Rooklyn W. and Elsie V. Brandenburg Pryor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Latrobe Funk, in 1950.
She was employed by L'Aiglon Apparel Inc., retiring in 1975.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by her sister, Donna Pryor Kline of Boonsboro; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St. in Hagerstown.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Fahrney Keedy Home.
Catherine O. Kelley
CLEAR SPRING - Catherine Odella Kelley, 84, formerly of 33 Main St., died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Homewood Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 30, 1914, in Charlton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry Leasure Sr. and Nellie Trumpower Leasure.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kelley, in 1997.
She was a 1932 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She owned and operated Stylerite Beauty Salon in Clear Spring.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Clear Spring.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Richards of Hagerstown; a son, Frank Kelley of Riverside, Ohio; a brother, Harry Leasure of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Baker and Frances Recher.
Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Andy Carr will officiate.
Private burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery in Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ottis S. Johnson
WILLIAMSPORT - Ottis S. "Ottie" Johnson, 84, of 15321 Clear Spring Road, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 10, 1915, in Indian Springs, he was the son of the late Roy and Rhoda Gordon Johnson.
He attended Indian Springs School.
He had been employed by Fairchild Industries; and retired from Reed Industries of Hagerstown.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Williamsport American Legion Post 202; and AARP.
He is survived by one daughter, Theda M. Johnson Mills of Williamsport; three sisters, Mabel Thompkins, Pearl Grove and Doris Helser, all of Big Pool; one brother, Harry Johnson of Clear Spring; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Mills; and two brothers, Jeramiah Johnson and Lee Johnson.
A graveside service will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Shanktown cemetery in Big Pool. The Rev. Dennis Whitmore will officiate, with military honors by Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222 of Clear Spring.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 11 Columbia St., Room 13, Cumberland, MD 21502.

Brandyn K. Gossard
Brandyn Keith Gossard, infant son of Belinda Marie Helman of 620 Adams Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
He was born Oct. 12, 1999, in Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Kelsey Renee Helman and Kirsten Nicole Helman, both at home; a brother, Michael Lynn Helman at home; maternal grandmother, Linda Marie Gossard of Hagerstown; maternal grandfather, Ronald Lee Gossard Sr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Delores J. Myers of Hagerstown; maternal great-grandfather, Donald R. Gossard Sr. of Hagerstown; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Agnes V. Gossard.
Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Wes Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Friday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Helen Louise Shilling, 81, of 413 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at her home.
Born Aug. 5, 1918, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Iona Z. English Shilling.
She was employed by Central Chemical Corp., retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church; and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a niece, Rose Shilling of Hagerstown; Margaret R. Martin, with whom she lived; a special friend, Seibert McCarty of Hagerstown; and caregivers, Linda Crone, Susan Rose and Ruth Stockslager, all of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lydia M. Shilling; and a brother, Harry Shilling.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. George W. Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
