Allen J. Longnecker
Allen J. Longnecker, 72, of 39 E. North Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 30, 1927, in Chewsville, he was the son of the late Russell J. and Mary L. Rowe Longnecker.
He retired in 1985 from the Washington County Board of Education for whom he worked in maintenance at North Hagerstown High School and North Street School.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of L.O.O.M. No. 2435 in Funkstown.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine J. Kerlin Longnecker; two daughters, Darla S. Longnecker and Diana L. Longnecker, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Joseph E. Longnecker of Hagerstown and Allen R. Longnecker of Greensboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert C. Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ottis S. Johnson
WILLIAMSPORT - Ottis S. "Ottie" Johnson, 84, of 15321 Clear Spring Road, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 10, 1915, in Indian Springs, he was the son of the late Roy and Rhoda Gordon Johnson.
He attended Indian Springs School.
He had been employed by Fairchild Industries; and retired from Reed Industries of Hagerstown.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Williamsport American Legion Post No. 202; and AARP.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Shanktown cemetery in Big Pool. The Rev. Dennis Whitmore will officiate, with military honors by Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post No. 222 of Clear Spring.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 11 Columbia St., Room 13, Cumberland, MD 21502.
Arrangements are by Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring.
Fletcher M. Dellinger Jr.
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Fletcher McKinley Dellinger Jr., 69, of 605 East "H" St., died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 17, 1930, in Stephens City, Va., he was the son of the late Fletcher M. Sr. and Edith Ludwig Dellinger.
He was a retired truck driver for Joy Co. at Dickerson, Md.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a member of Steadman-Keenan Post No. 96 American Legion and VFW Post No. 10421, both of Brunswick.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Hahn Dellinger; a daughter, Donna Button of Middletown, Va.; two sons, Michael Dellinger of Middletown and Jeff Dellinger of Virginia Beach, Va.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Free of Brunswick and Patti Clark of Kearneysville, W.Va.; a stepson, Kenny Hawes of Knoxville, Md.; nine sisters, Catherine Mullikin of Westminster, Calif., Reba Cooper of Winchester, Va.; Ellen Clark of Logan, Ohio, Geraldine Cooper of Cincinnati, Mary Williams of Strasburg, Irene Evans of Davenport, Fla., Evelyn Hollar of Woodstock, Va., Joanne Cullers of Strasburg and Margaret Merritt of Colonial Beach, Va.; two brothers, Kenneth Dellinger of Stephens City, Va., and Charles Dellinger of Albany, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at New York Hill United Methodist Church in Brunswick. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Park Heights cemetery in Brunswick.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The funeral home will be open today from 9 a.m.

Ola J. Weaver
BOONSBORO - Ola J. Weaver, 75, of 27 Potomac St., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at her home.
Born Oct. 16, 1923, in Wolfsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Russell and Daisy Kretzer Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Weaver, in 1977.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by two sons, E. Lee Weaver and Russell Weaver, both of Sharpsburg; one sister, Katherine Devine of Hagerstown; one brother, Irvin Morgan of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. John Alfriend will officiate.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gerald Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Guy H. Lucas
Guy Henry Lucas, 31, of Bentley Court, Hagerstown, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1967, in Silver Spring, Md., he was the son of Ralph A. and Barbara J. Chiater Lucas.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Frances Hanlin of Kitzmiller, Md.; maternal grandfather, Steve Chiater of Baltimore; one sister, Kimberly J. Reynolds of Hagerstown; and two brothers, Ralph A. Lucas Jr. of Kitzmiller and James Scott Lucas of Hagerstown.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller. The Rev. James Mau will officiate. Burial will be in Nethkin Hill Cemetery, Elk Garden, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Helen E. Fisher
Helen E. Fisher, 92, of 1417 Kensington Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 11, 1907, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Preston and Mattie Eakle Rowland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George I. Fisher Jr. in 1977.
She was a 1926 graduate of Broadway High School.
She was employed at Pangborn Corp. as secretary to John Pangborn and Thomas Pangborn. She previously was employed by the Washington County Health Department.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Sunday school and choir.
She is survived by two nephews, Joseph Rowland of Bethel Park, Pa., and Philip Rowland of Brookfield, Mass.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Smith; and a brother, Homer E. Rowland.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David M. Buchenroth will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
