Ralph E. Chaney
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Ralph Edward "Pete" Chaney, 90, of 803 E. Potomac St., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Citizens Nursing Home in Frederick, Md.
Born April 25, 1909, in Plane No. 4, Md., he was the son of the late William Henry and Mamie Frances Spurrier Chaney.
He was a retired owner and operator of Pete's Garage in Brunswick.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of New York Hill United Methodist Church in Brunswick.
He was a member of Steadman-Keenan Post No. 96 American Legion and VFW Post No. 10421, both of Brunswick.
He is survived by three half sisters, Frances Mable Cooper of Brunswick, Naomi Sigler of Knoxville, Md., and Eva Adella Sewell of Jefferson, Md.; a stepsister, Jeanette Cooper of Brunswick; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Margaret Moss of Frederick.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mable Chaney Cornelius; and a stepsister, Leeda Crabtree.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Marvin Chapel cemetery in Mount Airy, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open today from 9 a.m.

John R. Price Sr.
JAMES ISLAND, S.C. - John Russell Price Sr., 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999.
Born in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ira L. and Pattie Viar Price.
He graduated from Palmer Business School.
He was a retired auditor with South Carolina National Bank.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Civil War Round Table and James Island Masonic Lodge 396.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn McMillan Price; three daughters, Sylvia P. Murphy of James Island, Kathy Jo Thornburg of Davidson, N.C., and Domningo D. Price of Aiken, S.C.; one son, J.R. Price Jr. of Dallas; one sister, Hazel P. Stottlemyer of Pamplico, S.C.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Clearview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mabel M. Reynolds
CUMBERLAND, Md. - Mabel Miller Reynolds, 89, formerly of Baltimore Pike, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at Cape Coral, Fla.
Born March 29, 1910, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John and Estella Mountain Miller.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall Hardman; and by her second husband, Ralph Reynolds.
She was a retired employee of Montgomery Ward department store.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and the church choir.
She was a member of Homemakers of Pleasant Grove; and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Marian Chambers of Greencastle, Pa., and Karen Durrett of Cape Coral; a sister, Pearl Fisher of Cumberland; a brother, Fred Miller of Lewisburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Miller.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland. The Rev. Thomas Landaker will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family received friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Anna K. Creager
BRADDOCK HEIGHTS, Md. - Anna Kleff Creager, 87, formerly of 1421 Taney Ave., Frederick, Md., and a resident of Vindobona Nursing Home in Braddock Heights, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Paper Kleff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Milton Creager.
She had worked as a payroll clerk for Potomac Edison Co.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, and St. Mary's Guild.
She was a member of the PE Quarter Century Club.
She is survived by a son, John M. Creager of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Katherine A. Swire, Elizabeth L. Tucker, Carol L. Creager and Barbara I. Creager; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, Frederick. The Rev. Anne O. Weatherholt will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery in Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Katheleen V. Cage
SEMINOLE, Fla. - Katheleen V. "Kathy" Cage, 82, of Seminole, and formerly of Brunswick, Md., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at her home.
Born Aug. 28, 1917, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Virgie Anna Sample Rickard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Cage.
She was a retired registered nurse.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brunswick; and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole.
She is survived by four sisters, Alice Williams and Margaret Halbert, both of Seminole, Hazel Shewell of Clearwater, Fla., and Winnie Darrah of Largo, Fla.; a brother, John Rickard of Woodbridge, Va.; two nieces and eight nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brunswick. The Rev. Frank Ernst will officiate.

DeChantal Lucille Mowbray, 61, of 708 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 9, 1938, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John E. Sr. and Phyllis E. Trumpower Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Charles Mowbray Jr., in 1990.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a former member of American Legion Funkstown Post No. 211 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Yovonna Benner of Woodbridge, Va., and Benita Moats of Hagerstown; three sons, Edwin Shrader Jr. and Anthony Shrader, both of Hagerstown, and Phillip Shrader Williams of Beaver Dam, Wis.; a sister, Carol K. Jones of Hagerstown; three brothers, John Miller Jr. and Robert Miller Sr., both of Hagerstown and Morris Miller of Williamsport; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Jones.
Graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
