Marie T. Kline
Marie Therese Kline, 56, of 11203 Lakeside Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at her home.
Born April 30, 1943, in Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Elizabeth Theis Stirn.
She was valedictorian of James Rumsey Technical School in Hedgesville, W.Va., class of 1991. Her major was in Culinary Arts.
She was employed with St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Rectory.
She was a member of Valley Grace Church of the Brethren, Halfway.
She was a member of V.I.C.A. of James Rumsey School.
She is survived by two daughters, Anita Haines of Columbus, Ohio and Ronalda Lynch of Hagerstown; two sons, Patrick Kline of Warminster, Pa. and Ronald Kline Jr. of Clear Spring; a sister, Albertine Duprez of Luxembourg; a brother, Raymond Stirn of Belgium; a stepbrother, Roland Shever of Belgium; and 10 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. Father George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
There will be a service Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Daniel Pritchett will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open Tuesday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Harold W. Grove
MYERSVILLE, Md. - Harold William Grove, 71, of 3901 Crow Rock Road, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born March 1, 1928, in Jefferson, Md., he was the son of the late Greenberry F. and Mamie Heffner Grove.
He attended Buckingham School for Boys in Buckeystown, Md.
He retired from Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md., where he was employed as an animal caretaker.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Myersville.
He enjoyed raising chickens and pigeons.
He is survived by his wife, Clara V. Cooper Grove; two daughters, Teresa L. Beard of Waynesboro, Pa., and Judy Ivins of Poinciana, Fla.; two sons, Harold W. Grove Jr. of Hagerstown and Dennis L. Grove of Myersville; a sister, Edna M. Huffer of Jefferson; a brother, Richard N. Grove of Jefferson; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles C. Grove.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. David D. Howell, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Myersville, will officiate.
Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William A. Pague
William Albert Pague, 90, of 434 N. Prospect St., who died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, is survived by two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. David B. Kaplan will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call today from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Freda W. Zajic
TULLAHOMA, Tenn. - Freda W. Zajic, 86, of Tullahoma, Tenn., and formerly of Hagerstown, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Lynchburg (Tenn.) Nursing Center.
Born Sept. 7, 1912, in Garfield, Md., she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Bessie Himes Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Zajic.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Eyerly's Department Store.
She was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Bob Morrow of Tullahoma, Tenn., with whom she lived; one sister, Oneita Brandenburg of Hagerstown; two grandsons, Mike Morrow and Doug Morrow, both of Fayetteville, Tenn.; four great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Marcia Wolfe, Goldie Kuhn, Ruth Harne, Evelyn Lewis and Catherine Wachter; five brothers, Oden Wolfe, Osten Wolfe, Clifford Wolfe, Truman Wolfe and Willie Wolfe; and one grandson.
A memorial service was held Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma. The Rev. James Beatty officiated.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Rose Hill cemetery in Hagerstown. The Rev. Hayden Sparks will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Michael W. Davis Sr.
WILLIAMSPORT - Michael William Davis Sr., 50, of 8844 Signal Drive, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Oct. 30, 1948, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Roger William Sr. and Jeanette Goller Davis.
He was employed at the Lumber Yard in Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Theryl L. Davis; one daughter, Laura Davis of Hagerstown; two sons, Michael William Davis Jr. of Hagerstown and Tyler M. Davis, at home; one stepson, Ryan M. Acre of Hagerstown; one sister, Karen Keppel of Hagerstown; one brother, Roger William Davis Jr. of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Frederick H. Faust will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, West Washington Street, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alfred J. Hobbs
FREDERICK, Md. - Alfred John Hobbs, 80, of Frederick, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Frederick Health Care Center, Frederick.
Born May 15, 1919, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Ernest Haviland Hobbs and Annie Frances Vanschoonhoven Hobbs.
He retired from the U.S. government, and was an employee of the U.S. Bureau of Standards, Army Map Service, National Institutes of Health and Goddard Space Flight Center.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Elizabeth Jarboe Hobbs; two daughters, Joan H. Spisso of Frederick, and Carol Edith Toomey of Hagerstown; two sons, Alfred V. Hobbs of Hagerstown, and Edwin Philip Hobbs of Middletown, Md.; and six grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private.
