Isaac N. Barnes
Isaac Newton Barnes, 84, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Manor Care Nursing Center, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Jan. 22, 1915, in Calvert County, Md., he was the son of the late George R. and Sarah A. Dorsey Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose May Barnes, who died in 1997.
He was a retired from the City of Hagerstown as an electrician.
He was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Barnes of Baltimore and Christine E. Bingaman of Mount Airy, Md.; one sister, Evelyn Bross of Baltimore; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Raymond Lytle and the Rev. Kenneth Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Helen F. Kershner
Helen Frances Kershner, 79, of Avalon Manor Health Care Center, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 6, 1920, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred H. and Vada E. Beale Roane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Kershner, who died in 1991.
She was previously employed and retired from Valley Credit of Hagerstown.
She was a member of Calvary Grace Brethren Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by one stepson, Donald W. Kershner of Hagerstown; two step-grandsons, Jeffrey L. Kershner and Michael D. Kershner, both of Hagerstown; and two step-great-grandchildren, Jamie C. Kershner and Cody N. Kershner, both of Hagerstown.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. James Mack will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Donna R. Yount
Donna Romaine Yount, 55, of 666 Oak Hill Ave., Apt. 2, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at her home.
Born in York, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Andrew and Violet May Baker Gossert.
She was a housewife.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Rudy George Yount Sr.; two daughters, Susan M. Heuer of Fairplay and Melissa S. Yount, at home; four sons, Jeffery L. Yount, Randy R. Yount and Rudy G. Yount, Jr., all of Hagerstown, and Eric E. Yount of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Darlene Socks, Jackie Barnhart and Sandra Wantz, all of Waynesboro, Pa.; two brothers, Robert Gossert of Waynesboro and Wayne Gossert of Wheeling, W.Va.; four grandchildren, one step-grandson and one step-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Leanore Yount and Lean Yount, one son, Malcolm Yount, and one brother, Lynn Gossert.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. The Rev. James Swecker will officiate.
Family and friends may call at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Charles E. Weaver
CLEAR SPRING - Charles Edward Weaver, 69, formerly of National Pike, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 23, 1929, in Indian Springs, Md., he was the son of the late Frederick Herman and Florence Irene Snyder Weaver.
He was employed by Vanguard Plastics of New York until retiring in 1975, and was previously employed by Harry King Construction Co. of Clear Spring, and C. William Hetzer Inc., of Hagerstown.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by four sisters, Betty Troupe and Barbara Knode, both of Williamsport, Cora Clopper of Clear Spring and Dottie Robinson of Hedgesville, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Bessie Rachel Yost and one brother, Robert Monroe Weaver.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will be open from 9 a.m.

Grace A. Wolford
Grace Aliene Keller Wolford, 80, of 1008 Security Road, Apt. C, Hagerstown, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1919, in Catlett, Va., she was the daughter of the late Frederick Keller and Lena Heflin Keller Mellin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wolford.
She was employed as a waitress for many years.
She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Waynesboro, Pa., Women of the Moose, Waynesboro, Redmen of Williamsport, Dixon Troxell Unit 211 American Legion, Funkstown, and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Hagerstown.
She is survived by one sister, Madeline Payne of Redding, Calif.; three brothers, Clarence Keller, John Keller and Gene Keller, all of Hagerstown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Baker, and one brother, Stanley K. Keller.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alvin L. Simons Jr.
Alvin Leroy Simons Jr., 78, a resident of Western Maryland Center, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 25, 1921, in Lewisburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Alvin Leroy Sr. and Emeline Isabel Steininger.
He retired in 1981 from Havre De Grace Hospital, Hevre De Grace, Md., as a maintenance supervisor.
He was of Baptist faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Charlene M. Tritch of Hagerstown, and two granddaughters, Kelly C. Stiner of State Line, Pa., and Laura M. Wishard of Hagerstown.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Albert L. Leaf Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 426 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will be open after 9 p.m.
There will be no viewing.
