Robert L. Zepp
PASADENA, Md. - Robert Lee Zepp, 75, of Pasadena, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Jan. 25, 1924, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Clark and Josephine Clemmons Zepp.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1987.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 277 in Riviera Beach, Md.; VFW Post No. 194 in Salisbury, Md.; and Stone Creek Hunting and Fishing Club.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geraldine C. Zepp; a daughter, Vicki Lynn McCann of Bivalve, Md.; three sons, Robin Lee Zepp of Chesapeake, Va., and Ryan Zepp and Robert Zepp, both of Pasadena; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. William E. Merki will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery with military services by Newton D. Baker Post No. 896 VFW and Berkeley Post No. 14 American Legion.
The family will receive friends Friday at noon at the funeral home.

Ivan R. Huffer
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Ivan Remsberg Huffer, 73, of 106 E. A St., died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born Nov. 2, 1925, in Petersville, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Russell and Anna Mae Remsberg Huffer.
He retired as owner and operator of Ivan's Beauty Shop in Brunswick.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1136; and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1582, both of Brunswick.
He is survived by a sister, Maxine Younkins of Keedysville; two brothers, Harry L. Huffer of Rosemont, Md., and Jim Hayes Huffer of Brunswick; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Gletner and Jesse Karns; and two brothers, Paul Huffer and Howard Huffer.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Bruce Barth will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran cemetery in Middletown, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 9 a.m.

Joseph F. McHale
DALLAS, Texas - Joseph Francis McHale, 65, of Dallas, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in Dallas.
Born July 13, 1934, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Thomas and Angela Maddox McHale.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Halfway.
He is survived by his wife, Claire G. Gravel McHale, whom he married
June 8, 1959; one daughter, Kathleen Nutt of Corinth, Texas; three sons, Stephen McHale of Houston, James McHale of Richardson, Texas, and Chris McHale of Garland, Texas; one brother, Thomas McHale of Sykesville, Md.; one aunt; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson. Monsignor Don Fisher was celebrant. Burial was in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.
Anna L. Schuller
BELLEVUE, Wash. - Anna Laura Miller Schuller, 88, of Bellevue, and formerly of Robin Hollow Farm, Keedysville, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, in Bellevue.
Born Oct. 20, 1910, in Weverton, she was the daughter of the late E. Carleton and Urilla B. Miller.
Her husband, Carlton C. Schuller, died in 1987. They were married
in 1940.
She was a 1927 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1929 graduate of Towson State Teachers College in Baltimore. She attended summer courses at the University of Washington and the University of California at Berkeley, and in 1932 graduated from Johns Hopkins University.
She taught mathematics at Fairfax (Va.) High School.
She was a member of the Maryland Chapter of the Appalachian Trail Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Schuller and Stella Schuller, both of the Seattle area, and Laura Schuller of Northern Virginia; two sons, Christopher Schuller and Jeremy Schuller, both of Northern Virginia; one brother, John C. Miller of Minden, Nev.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Schuller.
Memorial donations may be made to local Hospice organizations.
Paul M. Brown
Paul Maydew Brown, 82, of 565 Salem Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown.
Born July 29, 1917, in Charles Town, W.Va., he was the son of the late Mitchell M. and Margaret B. Mansfield Brown.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and retired in 1982 from the Washington County Board of Education.
He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1936.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Ruth Brown; one son, Randy Paul Brown of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell W. Brown.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate.

Kristy L. Buhrman
SABILLASVILLE, Md. - Kristy Lynn Buhrman, 16, of 24922 Raven Rock Road, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 22, 1982, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Roger D. and Kimbra L. Starliper Buhrman of Sabillasville.
She was a junior at Smithsburg High School. She was an officer of the F.F.A. and of student government. She was a member of National Honor Society, STARS ( Students Through Academic Recognition at Smithsburg) and Weight Lifting Team of Smithsburg High.
She was in the family farm business and was employed by Food Lion in Smithsburg.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Sabillasville, Mt. Zion Christian Clowns, Young Life of the Church, and active in church youth programs.
She did volunteer work, including Candy Stripes, at Waynesboro Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Randy D. Buhrman, at home; maternal grandparents, Irvin and Patricia Starliper of St. James; paternal grandmother, Jane Buhrman of Sabillasville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg. The Revs. Tony Hardcastle and Brian Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
