Kathleen O. DeLouney
Kathleen Olivia Shank DeLouney, 86, formerly of 433 Ridge Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 10, 1912, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Minnie Roser Shank.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hammond DeLouney, in 1994.
She was retired from Fairchild Aircraft.
She was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dolly Burkholder of Hagerstown; a sister, Jane Smith of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Mae Pipich; and three brothers, Earl Shank, Mearl Shank and Wilbur Shank.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Harold P. Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Elsie L. Robinson
Elsie Louise Holmes Robinson, 66, a resident of Colton Villa Nursing Home, 750 Dual Highway, Hagerstown, and formerly of Boonsboro, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 1, 1932, in Dargan, she was the daughter of the late Earl Sylvester and Marjorie Pearl Johnson Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robinson, in 1998.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Robinson of Bradenton, Fla.; four sons, William Garfield Robinson of Canton, Ohio, Carl E. Robinson of Baltimore, Ronald Kenneth Robinson of Bradenton and David M. Robinson of Selbyville, Del.; four sisters, Helen V. Kuhn of Hagerstown, Erscel R. Webster of Dargan, Valeria A. Grams of Frederick, Md., and Hazel M. Dunkin of Keedysville; and two brothers, Louis A. Holmes of Baltimore and Russell W.C. Holmes of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Franklin Robinson; and two brothers, Sylvester Garfield Holmes and Cleveland G. Holmes.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph Downs will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
There will be no viewing or visitation; however, the family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Nora V. Whittington
Nora Virginia Barnhart Whittington, 101, of 13115 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Dec. 3, 1897, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late John Howard and Mary M. McElroy Barnhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Whittington, in 1980.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown since 1916.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosalie W. Matthews and Joyce A. Snurr, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Charles Barnhart of Funkstown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Castle, Elsie Slick, Lillie Burger and Catherine Hays; and a brother, Maurice Barnhart.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Fred M. Harris and the Rev. Robert L. Regenold will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joseph W. Marmaduke
Joseph William Marmaduke, 83, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Feb. 14, 1916, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John and Margaret Slick Marmaduke.
He retied from Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Jirova Marmaduke; a daughter, Julie Higgins of Clear Spring; a sister, Anna Mae Eichelberger of Hagerstown; a grandchild, Gary Higgins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Marmaduke; and a brother, Frank Marmaduke.
Services and burial will be private.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
James R. Eagle
KNOXVILLE, Md. - James "Bo" Richard Eagle, 67, of 332 Jefferson Pike, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at his home.
Born Nov. 30, 1931, in Knoxville, he was the son of the late Samuel Boyer and Nellie Virts Eagle.
He was a retired carman with B&O Railroad at Brunswick, Md.
He is survived by a daughter, Vearl Ann Cook of Mount Jackson, Va.; a sister, Lois Humphrey of Bradley, Calif.; two brothers, Harvey Eagle of Knoxville and Thomas Eagle of Woodstock, Va.; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Catherine Eagle, Mary Margaret Mahoney and Josephine Hoffman; and four brothers, William Eagle, Edgar Eagle, John Eagle and Donald Eagle.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Carroll Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Christ Reformed Cemetery, Middletown, Md.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Fannie T. Smith
Fannie T. Smith, 73, of 13502 Spriggs Road, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at her home.
Born June 11, 1926, in Allentown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Pompei Bove Cocca.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin P. "Ed" Smith, in 1996. They were married
Aug. 4, 1945.
She was a graduate of Allentown High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hagerstown, where she also was a member of Golden Age Group.
She was a member of Friendship Club of Hagerstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Annette McCartney of Columbia, Md.; two sons, Sanford P. Smith of Hagerstown and Rodney W. Smith of Lebanon, Pa.; two sisters, Theresa Olsovsky of Pittsburgh and Gloria Billera of Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, John Cocca of Allentown; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 218 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. The Rev. George Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa., where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
