Robert R. Noell
FREDERICK, Md. - Robert "Bob" Russell Noell, 53, of Wormans Mill Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at his home.
Born Oct. 24, 1945, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Grayson H. Sr. and Lucille Dorcas Hawse Mercer.
He was the manager of Tabacco Shack at Francis Scott Key Mall for 17 years.
He was involved with fund-raisers for Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Tina Marie Rea Noell; seven children, Robert Stitely, Russell Stitely and Jerry Stitely, all of Brunswick, Md., James Stitely of Walkersville, Md., Grayson Noell of Georgia and Christopher Noell and Nina Marie Noell, both of Frederick; three sisters, Patricia Anne Cook of Frederick, Mary Louise Cassell of Louisianna and Peggy Jean Fox of Frederick; a brother, Grayson H. Mercer Jr. of Frederick; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Albert S. Barthlow
DUNDALK, Md. - Albert Stanley Barthlow, 74, of Dundalk, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at Gilchrist in Towson, Md.
Born March 18, 1925, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Raymond and Lydia Stanley Barthlow.
He retired after 12 years from Golden Rin Mall in the Maintenance Department.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Catrow Barthlow; a son, Albert C. Barthlow of Hampstead, Md.; a sister, Elizabeth Walker of Hagerstown; a granddaughter; a great-grandchild; two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae McBride; and three brothers, Isacc Barthlow, Raymond Barthlow and Vernon Barthlow.
Services will be today at 5 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel. Pastor Eddie Edmonds will officiate.
Burial will be announced at a later date.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg.
William R. Menso
KEEDYSVILLE - William R. Menso, 50, of Keedysville, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Born Aug. 2, 1949, in Virginia, he was the son of Francis J. Menso of Frederick, Md., and Edith Pearson Akenson of Winchester, Va.
He was a plumber.
He had served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Gregory Menso of Rocky Ridge, Md.; two brothers, Gary F. Menso of Frederick and John E. Menso of Montgomery Village, Md.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Libertytown United Methodist Church, 12024 Main St., Libertytown, Md.
Burial will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Arlington Cemetery. Friends should assemble by 2:30 p.m.

William R. Smith
HANCOCK - William R. Smith, 49, of Hillside Street, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Aug. 5, 1950, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late James E. and Alda Virginia Clingerman Smith.
He was a former employee of W.D. Byron and Sons, Williamsport.
He was a member of Black Oak Mennonite Church, Warfordsburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma E. Kesecker Smith of Hancock, whom he married
Oct. 24, 1991; a daughter, Tawana Lynn Kesecker of Hancock; a son, Timothy W. Smith of Hancock; a sister, Kathryn Hott of Winchester, Va.; three brothers, Dale E. Smith of Hancock, James E. Smith Jr. of Warfordsburg and Lynn D. Smith of Artemas, Pa.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace L. Sipes.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Black Oak Mennonite Church, Warfordsburg. The Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock; and Friday at 10 a.m. at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Lawrence B. White
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Lawrence B. White, 49, of 109 Fourth Ave., died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at his home.
Born June 2, 1950, in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was the son of Ozelle S. and Nancy Frank White of Riverdale, Md.
He received his associates degree from St. Leo College in Florida, and did additional studies at Cleveland Institute of Electronics.
He was employed as an electrical technician by Secur-Data in Frederick, Md.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Sorensen White, whom he married
June 10, 1972; three sons, Christopher L. White, Andrew D. White and Eric T. White, all at home; two sisters, Kathleen White of Riverdale, Md., and Alicia Bush of Greenbelt, Md.; a brother, Scott White of Miami; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Brunswick. The Revs. Bruce W. Barth and Lawrence Gesy will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The funeral home will be open from 9 a.m.

Clarence F. Mundey
BRADENTON, Fla. - Clarence F. "Doc" Mundey, 76, of Bradenton, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.
Born Jan. 29, 1923, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Edgar and Sally Wilkes Mundey.
He was a former mayor of New Carlisle, Ohio.
He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 32 years.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Bradenton.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Mundey; two sons, Jeff Mundey of Dayton, Ohio, and Fred Mundey of Springfield; one brother, Richard A. Mundey of East Petersburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mundey.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Chapel of Peace, Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle.
