Roy L. Orndorff Sr.
WILLIAMSPORT - Roy Lee Orndorff Sr., 94, of 16505 Virginia Ave., and formerly of Arlington, Va., died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.
Born July 26, 1904, in Buena Vista, Va., he was the son of the late Joseph William and Laura Lee Snyder Orndorff.
He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from George Washington University in 1929.
He was employed as the director of the Department of Sanitary Engineering in Washington D.C., retiring in 1968. He was a licensed professional engineer in Washington D.C., and Virginia; and had been director of the Potomac River Basin Advisory Committee.
He was a member of American Academy of Environmental Engineers; American Society of Civil Engineers; American Water Works Association; and past chairman of the Chesapeake section of Water Works Association, from whom he received the Fuller Award. He was a member and director of Washington Society of Engineers; past chairman of Metropolitan Regional Sanitary Advisory Board of the Council of Governments; member and past president of Maryland/Delaware Water Pollution Control Association. He was commissioner of the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Pullen Orndorff; a daughter, Carol E. Bricker of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two sons, Roy L. Orndorff Jr. of Kent, Ohio, and John R. Orndorff of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Naomi Orndorff, Irene Orndorff, Rachel Craige and Frances Willard; two brothers, Joseph W. Orndorff Jr. and Jacob M. Orndorff; and a granddaughter.
Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Patrick Pierce will officiate.
Burial will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Greenhill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The Rev. Mark Lattime will officiate.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Thursday after 9 a.m.

Bernard S. Keith
Bernard Spangler Keith, 79, of 328 Mitchell Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born April 9, 1920, in Frederick, Md., he was the son of the late Charles T. and Ellen Shaw Keith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Adelle Keith, in 1985.
He was employed by Western Maryland Railroad.
He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hagerstown; and Men's Bible Class.
He was a member of American Legion Morris Frock Post No. 42 and VFW No. 1936, both in Hagerstown; Moose Lodge No. 120 in Martinsburg; and AARP.
He is survived by a son, William T. Keith of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, William T. Keith Jr., Christopher Scott Keith, Melissa Ann Foreman and Angelia Kristina Keith; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Hagerstown with military honors by American Legion Morris Frock Post No. 42.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frank E. Skinner
FREDERICK, Md. - Frank E. Skinner, 65, of Frederick, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 10, 1933, in Fruithurst, Ala., he was the son of the late Lloyd W. and Clara Lee Cantrell Skinner.
His wife, Virginia Lynn Skinner, died in 1993.
He retired in 1991 as a heavy equipment operator from C.J. Langerfelder and Sons, Baltimore. He formerly operated an antique flea market booth at U.S. 15 and Biggs Ford Road.
He was a member of Local 37 Operating Engineers in Baltimore.
He is survived by one daughter, Patty Lynn Ricketts of Myersville, Md.; two sisters, Virginia Butler and Mildred Skinner, both of Fruithurst; three brothers, James W. Skinner of Beech Island, S.C., Carl Skinner of Musketdine, Ala., and Junior Skinner of Roopville, Ga.; one granddaugther; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran cemetery in Middletown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Leonard E. Wallace
NEW MARKET, Md. - Leonard E. "Bunk" Wallace, 69, of New Market, died Sunday, July 18, 1999 at his home.
Born March 9, 1930, in Bluefield, Va., he was the son of the late George Ellis and Mable Farley Wallace.
He was employed by Review & Herald Publishing Association as a printer and preventive maintenance manager 45 years. He was a master auto mechanic and partner on G & W Auto Repairs.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War.
He was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Frederick.
He was a WWII Air Force historian.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lois Ondrizek Wallace; two daughters, Lisa Richards of Hagerstown and Tara K. Safrit of Richfield, N.C.; four sisters, June Engel of Collegedale, Tenn., Joyce Bahnmiller of Monroe, Wash., Juanita Madche of Sultin, Wash., and Gina Peterson of Orlanda, Fla.; a brother, Garry Wallace of Canada; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The Rev. Charles Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Juanita V. Grimm
Juanita Virginia Grimm, 71, of Hagerstown, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 29, 1928, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Raymond Henry Sr., and Mellie Blanche Haines Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Richard Grimm Sr., in 1997.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca J. Hartman of Mercersburg, Pa., Patricia A. Shank of Winchester, Va., and Sherri L. Breeden of State Line, Pa.; two sons, Wilbur R. Grimm Jr., of Ontario, Calif., and Wayne S. Grimm Sr., of Fairplay; one sister, Mary Frances Beauregard of Charles Town; three brothers, Buddy Frazier and Raymond Frazier Jr., both of Charles Town, and Gene Frazier of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Barr.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Don Evanson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Maurice D. Dickson
Maurice Duray Dickson, 28, of 248 Frederick St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, July 18, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born May 29, 1971, he was the son of Lawrence A. Sr., and Diane A. Henderson Dickson of Hagerstown.
He was a family member of King's Apostle Holiness Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by Katrina L. Sword, with whom he resided; one daughter, Katrice Monet Dickson, at home; two sons, Phillip Gordon Ahalt and Duray Gift Hooper, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Jaymea LaShane Dickson of Hagerstown; two brothers, Lawrence A. Dickson Jr. and Antonio Dickson, both of Hagerstown; and maternal grandparents, Thelma and Joseph Henderson, of Hagerstown.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at King's Apostle Holiness Church of God, 125 Bethel St. The Rev. Derek H. Kee will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
