Violet H. Cannon
KNOXVILLE - Violet H. Cannon, 88, of 3322 Carlisle Drive, died Thursday, June 17, 1999.
Born May 24, 1911, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Grace Hutts Haines.
She was employed for 20 years by Key Chevrolet-Cadillac in Frederick, Md., and Jim Haley Chevrolet and Jack Amitucci Chevrolet in Brunswick, Md.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Brunswick.
She also was a member of Century Temple 5 of Pythian Sisters, Women of the Moose, Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles and Ladies Auxiliary of Brunswick Ambulance Co.
She is survived by one daughter Arlene Nalley and her husband, Sam Nalley, with whom she resided; one son, R. Barry Cannon; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mona Lee Cannon.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Stephen A. Swift will officiate. Burial will be in Park Heights cemetery in Brunswick.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Francis W. Leatherman
RINGGOLD - Francis W. Leatherman, 83, of Barkdoll Road, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown.
Born near Wolfsville, Md., Dec. 15, 1915, he was the son of the late Lloyd L. and Lucy J. Miller Leatherman.
His wife, M. Frances Rudolph Leatherman, died in 1995.
He was employed by Fairchild Aircraft and Banks Builders of America.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II in France, Belgium, Germany and Iceland.
He was a member of Maugansville Bible Brethren Church.
He also was a member of the Knife Collectors Club in Waynesboro, Pa.
He is survived by one brother, Kenneth M. Leatherman of Waynesboro; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Leatherman.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, 17904 Binkley Ave. Pastor John Hoffman and Pastor Martin Rudolph will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh cemetery in Rouzerville, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing.

Marshall B. Northern
POOLESVILLE, Md. - Marshall Bernard Northern, 80, of 19315 Fisher Ave., died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at his home.
Born June 19, 1918, in Coan, Va., he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Nina Marie Hall Northern.
He was a bus driver with Metro Lines of Washington, D.C., retiring after 42 years of service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wheaton, Md.
He was a member of Amalgamated Transit Union 689.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Mills Northern of Poolesville; two daughters, Barbara Polak of Poolesville, and Jean Stafford of Annandale, Va.; two brothers, Roland Northern of District Heights, Md., and Herbert Northern of Fredericksburg, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Dennis Whitmore will officiate. Burial will be in Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m.

Agnes E. Weicht
WILLIAMSPORT - Agnes Ella Weicht, 84, formerly of Cloverton Lane, died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born Feb. 2, 1915, in Kitzmiller, Md., she was the daughter of the late Alexander Elliot and Golda Maude Jones Harvey Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dayne Weicht Sr., in 1986.
She was a 1932 graduate of Kitzmiller High School.
She was employed as a physical therapist with Western Maryland Center, retiring in 1973. She previously worked at Washington County Hospital.
She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport.
She was a member of AARP and Maryland Classified Employees Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Petre of Walkersville, Md.; a son, Ronald Weicht Jr. of Williamsport; a sister, Alta Paul of Baltimore; three granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Phillips; and two brothers, Bradley Harvey and Alex Harvey Jr.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the services at the funeral home.

Naomi Pearl Adams, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Homewood Nursing Center, Williamsport.
Born in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Roy Landis and Pearl McCullough Booth.
She was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Garrett Newton Adams of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nile U. Booth and James R. Booth.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Dennis L. Upton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Dominick A. Gallo
HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Dominick A. Gallo, 80, of Hyattsville, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, Md.
Born Aug. 28, 1918, in Newell, Pa., he was the son of the late Ralph and Sarah McCune Gallo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marchelletta Gallo, in 1967.
He formerly owned D.A. Gallo Construction Co. in Clairton, Pa. He retired as the building inspector for Montgomery County, Md.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of American Legion and Sons of Italy, both in College Park, Md.
He is survived by two daughters, Sallie Gallahan of Hagerstown and Jean Ann Berklovich of Perryopolis, Pa.; a son, Ralph A. Gallo of Bishopsville, Md.; four sisters, Caroline Massari of Finleyville, Pa., Carmella Masterann of West Brownsville, Pa., and Anna Mae Gallo and Catherine Gallo, both of Newell; two brothers, Alex Gallo of Delhart, Texas, and Joseph Gallo of Newell; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Peter Gallo, John Gallo, Ralph Gallo and Anthony Gallo.
A Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Worship Site, Clairton. Burial will be in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
