BOONSBORO - Thelma Elva Ford of Boonsboro, died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Her husband, Everett R. Ford, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn M. McMullan and Linda Woodruff; one sister, Evelyn Wright; one brother, Carroll Artes; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Hazel Christine Miller; one son, Raymond E. Ford Jr.; and one grandson.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Md. Burial will be in Washington National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Emma J. Secor
CASCADE - Emma J. Secor, 74, of Rowland Hill Road, Cascade, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 16, 1924, in Warsaw, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Mildred Carrie Hill Wells.
She was a member of Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Association Ladies Auxiliary of Cascade American Legion Post 239, Ladies Auxiliary of Thurmont Amvets Post 7, and Life member of Ladies Auxiliary South Mountain Rod and Gun Club, Smithsburg.
She is survived by her husband, David M. Secor; one daughter, Janet M. Wiles of Cascade; two brothers, Robert Wells of Warsaw and Max E. Wells of Kendallville Ind.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Arlington National cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.
Eleanor H. Zecher
Eleanor Harbaugh Zecher, 89, of 308 E. Magnolia Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 29, 1909, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Holland and Nellie Louise Harp Harbaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon Bowlus Zecher, who died in 1998.
She was a 1930 graduate of Towson Normal School.
She was employed by Washington County Board of Education, teaching first and second grades at Smithsburg Elementary School and at Wayside Elementary School.
She was a member of Washington County Teachers Association and Maryland State Teachers Association.
She is survived by one brother, Joseph H. Harbaugh of Hagerstown; two nieces, Joyce Legore of Tucker, Ga., and Linda Mose of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John H. Harbaugh.
Graveside service will be private and held at Rest Haven Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.

Charles E. Minnick
UNION BRIDGE, Md. - Charles E. Minnick, 90, of 109 N. Main St., Union Bridge, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mount Airy, Md.
Born Oct. 30, 1908, in Union Bridge, he was the son of the late Charles O. and Carrie Fogle Minnick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Wilhide Minnick, who died in 1992.
Prior to his retirement he had been employed as an inspector with Western Maryland Railroad for more than 50 years. His employment with the railroad involved the Hagerstown area for many years.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Union Bridge.
He was a 49-year member of Plymouth Lodge 143 A.F. & A.M. and Plymouth Chapter 41 Order of the Eastern Star, both of Union Bridge, and Carroll County Old Timers Baseball Association. In March 1999 he was inducted into the Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley M. Reynolds of New Bern, N.C.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Emory G. Minnick.
Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge. The Rev. Richard L. Michael will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Keysville, Md.
The family will receive friends today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Vernon L. Stouffer
Vernon Leo Stouffer, 80, of 11023 Lincoln Avenue, Hagerstown, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 4, 1919, in Mount Lena, Md., he was the son of the late Ernest E. and Lottie Savilla Kinsey Stouffer.
He retired in 1981 from Potomac Edison in Hagerstown after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church, where he held many positions.
He is survived by his wife, Jane R. Dubel Stouffer, whom he married
in 1945; two sons, Ronald E. Stouffer of Gaithersburg, Md., and Richard L. Stouffer of Aloha, Ore.; two sisters, Mildred Hogan of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Vivian Van Voorhis of Boonsboro; three brothers, Marvin Stouffer of Boonsboro, Charles Stouffer and Fayette W. Stouffer, both of Mount Lena; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Elvin Stouffer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Helen S. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Benevola Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawrence L. Wolfe, Jr.
SHARPSBURG - Lawrence Lester Wolfe Jr., 35, of 5538 Sharpsburg Pike, Sharpsburg, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 8, 1963, in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of Barbara Geneva Shumaker Wolfe of Hagerstown and the late Lawrence L. Wolfe Sr.
He was employed with Duncan Brothers, Hagerstown, and was formerly employed with Rudy Transportation, Frederick, Md., as a truck driver.
He was a member of Mount Zion Mennonite Church at San Mar.
He was a scoutmaster of Sharpsburg Cub Scout Pack 51, and a former coach with Sharpsburg Minor League and T-ball teams.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tina S. Martin Wolfe, whom he married
in 1985; one daughter, Jessica D. Wolfe, at home; two sons, Christopher B. Wolfe and Curtis M. Wolfe, both at home; five sisters, Vanessa Harrell and Angela Black, both of Hagerstown, Mary Ellen Martin of Smithsburg, Glenda Stetak of Florida and Loretta Fraley of Marlowe, W.Va.; and two brothers, C. Eddie Wolfe of Williamsport and Richard Fraley of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kimberly Wolfe and Donna Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Mennonite Church, Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro. Elder Harold Horst and the Rev. Roger Martin will officiate. Burial will be in San Mar Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
