Irene W. Johnson
KEEDYSVILLE - Irene Wilhelmenia Johnson, 88, of 5 Columbine Drive, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at her home.
Born April 11, 1911, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Emma Heubach Schleiden.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mount Vernon United Church of Christ in Keedysville.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Robert V. Johnson, whom she married
Oct. 12, 1938; two daughters, Irene Ann Misiti of Newburgh, N.Y., and Cynthia E. Dressel of Bethesda, Md.; two sisters, Edith S. Seltzer of Williamsport, Pa., and Elsie S. Muschar of Pittsburgh; four brothers, Albert Schleiden of Sun City Center, Fla., Howard Schleiden of Allison Park, Pa., Fred Schleiden of Sewickley, Pa., and Raymond Schleiden of Valencia, Pa.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie S. Ciraullo, Esther S. Klessen and Lillian Schleiden; and four brothers, Gilbert Schleiden, James Schleiden, Elmer Schleiden and Blaine Schleiden.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Revs. Beverly Lewis and Richard Masters will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Keedysville.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arnold N. Hull
Arnold N. Hull, 79, of Hagerstown, and 1570 E. Powder Horn Road, Titusville, Fla., died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 15, 1920, in Pinesburg, Md., he was the son of the late Clarence B. and Lottie B. Shank Seaman Hull.
A conductor on the Western Maryland Railroad for 40 years, he retired in 1980.
He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge No. 378, Hagerstown; a life member of VFW Post No. 1936, Hagerstown; American Legion Post No. 211, Funkstown; LOOM No. 738, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Conococheague Order of Redman Tribe No. 84, Williamsport; AMVETS Post No. 10, Hagerstown; and Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Marie I. Hoyle Frizzell Hull; a daughter, M. Susan Kenyon of Titusville; a stepdaughter, Lois M. Melius of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a stepson, Richard D. Frizzell of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonita L. Hills.
Graveside services will be held at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, Fla.
Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
Hilda A. Berry
Hilda Alliene Berry, 68, of 14727 Daly Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 28, 1930, in Mount Lena, she was the daughter of the late Solomon Lewis Faulders and Esta May Reynolds Faulders.
Her husband, Walter Raymond Berry, died in 1992.
She was employed by Avalon Manor Nursing Home, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of Broadfording Church of the Brethren, and the Truthseekers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Jean Daley and Linda Lou Thompson, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Irene Snyder, Bessie Mace and Virginia Brown, all of Hagerstown, and Shirley Ferrel of Shenandoah, W.Va.; one brother, Solomon Faulders of Glen Carbon, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Faulders.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship, 14010 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown. Pastor Leon Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, today from 7 to 9 p.m.

James A. Fazenbaker
OCEAN CITY, Md. - James Albert Fazenbaker, 81, of 539 Eaglesnest Road, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Sunday, May 9, 1999.
He was born in Lonaconing, Md.
He retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown.
He was a member of B.P.O.E. in Hagerstown, and Williamsport American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Fazenbaker of Ocean City; one daughter, Barbara Forte of Bowie, Md.; one son, Jack Fazenbaker of Carrollton, Texas; two brothers, Charles Fazenbaker of Hagerstown, and Junior Fazenbaker of Maryland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
There will be no service.
Arrangements are by Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Fla., where he spent his winters.
Bernard C. Feeser
THURMONT, Md. - Bernard Charles "Bernie" Feeser, 82, of 13708 Jimtown Road, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 1, 1916, in York, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel Franklin and Catherine Mary Yake Feeser.
His wife, Evelyn Naomi Feeser, died in 1976.
He was employed by Hillside Turkey Farm in Thurmont for 20 years, and then at Catoctin High School in Thurmont as a custodian for 15 years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Thurmont and served on the parish council. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Thurmont Knights of Columbus 11975.
He is survived by four daughters, Catherine N. Feeser, Mary B. Feeser and Bonita M. Smith, all of Thurmont, and Virginia L. Hanson of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Samuel F. Feeser and Joseph C. Feeser, both of Thurmont; a sister, May Kessinger of Tucson; a brother, Joseph Feeser of Los Osos, Calif.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bernard C. Feeser Jr.; three sisters, Anna Noel, Helen Markle and Elizabeth Feeser; and two brothers, Curt Feeser and Ed Feeser.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, North Church Street, Thurmont, with the Rev. Leo R. Tittler as celebrant. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
The family will receive friends at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., with a rosary service at 8:15 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m.

Marvin G. Daugherty
ROHRERSVILLE, Md. - Marvin Graydon "Doc" Daugherty, 74, of 3937 Rohrersville Road, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Frederick Health Care Center in Frederick, Md.
Born Oct. 4, 1924, in Samples Manor, Md., he was the son of the late Roy and Edna Dancey Daugherty.
He was a retired stone mason.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Ida Wilt Daugherty, whom he married
Dec. 22, 1944; four daughters, Anna E. Lowe of Brunswick, Md., Edna B. Barnes of Hagerstown, Emma J. Baer of Halltown, W.Va., and Sandra K. McAfee of Keedysville; a son, Leroy F. Daugherty of Williamsport; a brother, Edward Daugherty of Purcellville, Va.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda D. Daugherty; a son, Marvin G. Daugherty Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothea Hawbaker and Elizabeth Curry.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Samples Manor Church of God. The Rev. Ollie Baer will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.

Fred V. Barnhart
SHARPSBURG - Fred Vernon Barnhart, 71, of 6821 Sharpsburg Pike, died Sunday, May 9, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1927, in Needmore, Pa., he was the son of the late Alonzo and Bertha Barnhart.
He was a retired farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church.
He also was a member of American Legion Post 236 in Sharpsburg.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice E. Price Barnhart; two daughters, Nancy Swope of Keedysville, and Mary Frey of Boonsboro; two sons, Tom Barnhart and Kenny Barnhart, both of Keedysville; two sisters, Madeline Hendershot of Clear Spring, and Stella Hendershot of Warfordsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Bernie Barnhart of Needmore, Pa., and Leroy Barnhart of Warfordsburg; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Bishop and Ruth Heller; and one brother, Albert Barnhart.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. R. Kay Barger will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
