Lorraine A. Leather
LEITERSBURG - Lorraine A. "Pat" Leather, 78, of Little Antietam Road, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 13, 1921, in Chewsville, she was the daughter of the late David Finley and Maude Gray Warbel Weaver.
She was employed by Pangborn Corp. in Hagerstown, Maugansville Lumber, and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville.
She was a member of AARP.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Leather; two daughters, Rebecca A. Leather of Saugus, Calif., and Susan A. Leather of Leitersburg; two sons, Steven A. Leather of Leitersburg, and David A. Leather of Hagerstown; three sisters, Velma N. Filsinger and Sylvia L. Rider, both of Hagerstown, and Connie Leisinger of Chewsville; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen E. Weaver.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg. The Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Charles F. Lowery Sr.
Charles Franklin Lowery Sr., 68, of 11912 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at Avalon Manor in Hagerstown.
Born April 13, 1931, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Earl and Ruby Virginia Holmes Lowery.
He was employed by the Maryland State Roads Department, retiring in 1993.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Florence L. Lowery of Hagerstown; one son, Charles F. Lowery Jr. of Clear Spring; one sister, Evelyn Sweeting of Baltimore; one brother, Leo Earl Lowery of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Alice George.
Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 127 Britner Ave., Williamsport. The Rev. Terry Foor will officiate.
Friends may call at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m.
Mary M. Rohrer
Mary Martha Rohrer, 61, of 16211 Dundee Court, and formerly of Mount Briar, Md., died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1937, in Mount Briar, she was the daughter of the late Victor Dagenhart and Mary Helen Rohrer Seville.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mount Briar First Church of God.
She is survived by three sisters, Elsie V. Cooper and Margaret Griffith, both of Keedysville, and Agnes I. Rohrer of Hagerstown; four nieces; five nephews; and 16 cousins.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Briar First Church of God. The Rev. Joseph Burdette will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

Inez F. Hurley
BOONSBORO - Inez Fay Hurley, 88, of 21419 Greenbriar Road, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 19, 1910, in Myersville, Md., she was the daughter of the late George E. and Edna F. Itnyre Haupt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Hurley, in 1983.
She was a former shoe factory employee.
She was a member of Mount Lena United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald A. Hurley of Frederick, Md., and Alvin L. Hurley of Boonsboro; one sister, Mary Doyle of Boonsboro; four brothers, Woodrow Haupt, Otho Haupt and Elvin Haupt, all of Boonsboro, and Leo Haupt of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Lum and Kathleen Detrow; and one brother, Carlton Haupt.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. The Rev. Eliza Hurst will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
June A. Henson
June Almeda Henson, 75, of 17225 W. Washington St., died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born June 11, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Carl Leonard and Florence Ida Billman Light.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth Leo Henson Sr., in 1979.
She owned and operated Henson's Tax and Bookkeeping Service.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
She was a member of Clear Spring District Historical Association.
She is survived by four daughters, Sara L. Webb of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Barbara A. Clopper of Clear Spring, Judith E. Houpt and Ida A. Iseminger, both of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sons, Ellsworth L. Henson Jr. of Falling Waters and Carl R. Henson of Greencastle, Pa.; a sister, Patsy Valentine of Sharpsburg; a brother, Bobby Jacobs of Alabama; 15 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Kiser and Lorraine Horner; a brother, William Black; and a granddaughter, Carla Lurae Henson Ernde.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. James A. Haskiell will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Philip R. Parker
Philip Ray Parker, 62, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
He was the son of Mittie Hardison Parker of Holly Ridge, N.C., and the late Kirby Parker.
He is survived by two daughters, Pam Parker-Knight of Austin, Texas, and Lisa Parker of Florida; a sister, Irene King of Holly Ridge; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Ridge. The Rev. Ed Dowd will officiate. Burial will be in Sealawn Memorial Park in Hampstead.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
