Clarice G. Martin
Clarice G. Martin, 86, of Stonecroft Court, Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born near Thurmont, Md., on Nov. 8, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Amelia C. Hardman Eyler.
Her husband, Richard Martin, died in 1964.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville, a volunteer worker for the Turnover Shop in Hagerstown and a church organist.
She is survived by one daughter, Cassandra Martin of Florence, S.C.; two sons, Steve Martin of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Tim Martin of Chewsville; twin brother, Donald Eyler of Boonsboro; eight grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg. The Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will be in Weller United Methodist Church Cemetery, Thurmont.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Kittie S. Brown
HOUSTON - Kittie Sharon Moore Brown, 56, of Houston, died Friday, April 23, 1999.
She was the daughter of Frank and Doris Moore of Cascade.
She was a 1960 graduate of Smithsburg High School; and a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C.
She was employed at the lunar receiving laboratory during the moon landings. She was recently employed at ABB Vetco Gray in Houston.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Jim Brown; one daughter, Kelly of Austin, Texas; two sons, Michael of San Francisco, and Dan of Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Bonnie of Centreville, Va., and Vicki of Cascade; two brothers, Frank Jr. of Kirkland, Wash., and Shawn of Oceanside, Calif.
A memorial service was held Monday, April 26, at Forest Park Funeral Home in Lawndale, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society, or to any place that cares for cats.
Leslie D. Welden
Leslie Danielle Welden, 31, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
Born Oct. 29, 1967, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Beverly Jayne and Ed Griffith.
She was a 1986 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
She was a claims examiner for Mamsi Corp.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Jennifer Anderson; and grandparents, Harry Hull and Doris and Milton Warren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Devol Funeral Home, 10 E. Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, Md.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Montgomery County Animal Humane Society.
John C. McKinsey
John Cornelius McKinsey, 74, of 111 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 5, 1924, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late John C. and Helen L. Boyer McKinsey.
He retired from Anderson Dry Cleaners after 25 years.
He was a member of the National Guard, Company B 150th Infantry Division.
He was a member of Christ's Reformed Church.
He is survived by his wife, Georgetta I. Garnand McKinsey; two sons, John C. McKinsey and Mark W. McKinsey, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Betty J. Grove, Loretta M. Thompson and Jeanette D. Vaughn, all of Hagerstown, and Valeria J. Polley of Williamsport; one brother, Robert L. McKinsey of Williamsport and one grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Lincoln.
Aubrey L. Fritz
Aubrey Leroy Fritz, 53, of 16544 Fairview Road, Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 13, 1945, in Mount Airy, Md., he was the son of Aubrey Austin Fritz Jr., and the late D. Virginia Gregg Fritz.
He was employed in the plumbing business.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship, Williamsport.
He is survived by one daughter, Shannon Marie Fritz, two sons, Wayne H. Duvall Jr. of Haines City, Fla., and Danny Leroy Fritz; one sister, Charlotte L. Domer of Hagerstown; one brother, Danny Eugene Dennison of Frederick, Md.; and one niece with whom he made his home, Cathy Fogle of Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Leaf Memorial Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. John Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday two hours prior to the services. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will be open Tuesday after 9 a.m.

Robert B. Hoffman
Robert Binkley Hoffman, 79, of 14526 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 19, 1919, in Cearfoss, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Alethea Binkley Hoffman.
He was a retired farmer and buyer for Hoffman's Quality Meats.
He was a member of Salem Reformed United Church of Christ, Hagerstown.
He was a member and past president of Wilson Ruritan Club and BPO Elks 378, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Hoffman, whom he married
in 1940; two sons, Donald L. Hoffman and John R. Hoffman, both of Hagerstown; one brother, R. Paul Hoffman of Hagerstown; six grandsons and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Martha E. Hoffman and one brother, Jacob L. Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Sharon Forbes and the Rev. Julia Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
