Charles A. Keplinger
WILLIAMSPORT - Charles Albert "Ab" Keplinger, 84, of 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Homewood at Williamsport.
Born April 1, 1915, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Howard Clayton and Lona Etta Widdows Keplinger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel T. Keplinger, who died in 1991.
He was retired from Fairchild Aircraft.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a life member of First Brethren Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara J. Youtz of Great Falls, Va.; three sons, Larry C. Keplinger of Williamsport, Kenneth W. Keplinger and Mark A. Keplinger, both of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Ruby Huff and Ethel Geaslen, both of Hagerstown; one brother, Herschel Keplinger of Hagerstown; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Keplinger, Paul L. Keplinger, Donald Keplinger and Rudolph Keplinger.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. John Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lottie B. Seaman
Lottie B. Seaman, 99, formerly of Walnut Towers, Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 18, 1999, at Avalon Manor Nursing Center, Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 10, 1899, in Welsh Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Mary Ellen Hawbaker Shank.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Seaman and her former husband, Clarence B. Hull.
She was a member of St. Paul's Church.
She is survived by one son, Norman Hull of Titusville, Fla.; four sisters, Cathryn Middlekauff of Hagerstown, Edna Nichols of Williamsport, Missouri Brown of Boonsboro and Ruth Meyers of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Morris V. Shank of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary C. Knode and one son, John C. Hull.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Gene Renner will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery in Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Richardson L. Onderdonk
TUCSON, Ariz. - Richardson Latrobe Onderdonk, 81, formerly of Malvern, Pa., died Sunday, April 18, 1999, in Tucson.
Born Oct. 24, 1917, at Saint James, Md., he was the son of the late Evelynne Richardson and Adrian Holmes Onderdonk.
He was a graduate of Saint James School and Trinity College, Hartford, Md. He held a master's degree in education from the University of Delaware.
He taught in private and public schools.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a former member of Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, Pa.
He was a member of Holland Society of New York, Netherlands Society of Philadelphia, and Phi Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Upper Main Line Post. He also participated in the Tucson Senior Olympics in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999, most recently winning the silver medal in the 500 meter backstroke.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Onderdonk of Tucson; four sons, Reynolds Onderdonk, Adriaan Onderdonk, Dixon Onderdonk and Julian Onderdonk; one brother, Henry Onderdonk of San Francisco and five grandsons.
Burial will be held in St. Mark's Church, Lappans, Md.
Arrangements are by Mauger/Givnish Funeral Home of Malvern, Pa.
Anna R. Barnhart
WILLIAMSPORT - Anna Rebecca Barnhart, 83, of 9624 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport.
Born July 1, 1915, in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Ella Elizabeth Barrett Dick.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William H. Snyder and Ernest W. Barnhart Sr.
She was employed as a carrier for The Herald-Mail Company, retiring in 1987.
She was a life member of Downsville Christian Church.
She was a member of AARP.
She is survived by a daughter, Carmen Canfield of Sharpsburg; two stepdaughters, Irene Baker of Chewsville, Md. and Virginia Ross of Glen Burnie, Md.; a stepson, Ernest Barnhart Jr. of Hagerstown; two sisters, Ethel Teach of Hagerstown and Marie Miller of Williamsport; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Forrest Dick, Ellis Dick and Irvin Dick.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Jerry Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home; the funeral home will be open Monday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Gladys G. Kemp
Gladys Georgia Kemp, 78, of 437 Salem Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 15, 1920, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Columbus R. and Sally Leona Plume Toms.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon E. Plotner in 1975; and her second husband, William A. Kemp Sr. in 1996.
She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred L. Day of Great Cacapon, W.Va. and Patricia A. Barnhart of Hagerstown; six sons, Robert E. Plotner, Vernon J. Plotner, Gregory A. Plotner, Kenneth W. Kemp and William A. Kemp, all of Hagerstown and Clifford R. Plotner of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Rachel M. Patton and Jane Frances Barnes, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Louis C. Toms of Hagerstown; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Odell Stone will officiate. Entombment will be in Rest Haven Mausoleum.

Ruth N. Abell
BOONSBORO - Ruth Naomi Abell, 86, a resident of Reeders Memorial Home and formerly of 7 East Washington St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 1, 1913, in Cearfoss, she was the daughter of the late Noble Victor and Bertha Matilda Bowers Spickler.
She had retired after 32 years from Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown as a blueprint maker.
She was a life member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church near Hagerstown.
She is survived by two sisters, Betty H. Sampsell of El Paso, Texas and Pauline L. Renner of Boonsboro; a brother, Albert J. Spickler of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl L. Spickler and Harold E. Spickler.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Broadfording Bible Brethren Church. The Rev. William H. Freed Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the services at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
