Mildred E. Nye
Mildred E. Nye, 93, of 11 S. Walnut St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 23, 1905, in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Lula McCarl Houpt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. Nye, in 1984.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church of Mercersburg.
She attended Breakaway.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Shirley of Hagerstown; two sons, Harvey G. Nye of Brownsburg, Va., and Walter Nye of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Thompson; and a grandson.
Services will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jay M. Fretz will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
Visitation will be Friday from 3:30 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frances D. Werth
Frances D. Werth, 80, of 18725 Briarwood Drive, and formerly of Scarsdale, N.Y., and Kingsport, Tenn., died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 11, 1918, in Konarock, Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Lucille Rutland Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John St. Charles Werth, in 1975.
She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and Circle 2. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kingsport.
She was a member of Fountain Head Country Club and Fountain Head Bowling League; and had been a member of the Virginia Club in Kingsport.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynn Montgomery of Charlotte, N.C., Lucy Ewell of Richmond, Va., and Margaret Werth of New York; three sons, John Werth Jr. of Austin, Texas, Kenneth Werth of Longmeadow, Mass., and Walter Werth of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Margaret D. Harper of Hagerstown; 12 grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth R. Daniels.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Richard W. Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Kingsport, Tenn.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Paul L. Tritapoe
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Paul Luther Tritapoe, 81, of 614 Brunswick St., died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.
Born May 9, 1917, in Frederick, he was the son of the late John Luther and Cecelia Flook Tritapoe.
He retired from B&O Railroad in Brunswick.
He was a charter member of Brunswick Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Ellen Tritapoe; one son, John David Tritapoe of Trappe, Md.; three grandchildren, Kenneth Reightler of Ranson W.Va., and Tara Tritapoe and J.D. Tritapoe Jr., both of Easton, Md.; three great-grandchildren; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Reightler; and one sister, Mary Steele.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Burkittsville Cemetery, in Burkittsville, Md. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Jack Groves will play bagpipes.
There will be no visitation.

Lillian May Masser
PASADENA, Md. - Lillian May Masser, 90, of Pasadena, and formerly of Old Receiver Road, in Shookstown, Md., died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at North Arundel Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1908, in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Emory S. Whipp and Macey May Eyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Albert Masser, in 1981.
She was a member of Edgewood Church of God in Frederick, and taught the Sunday School Cheerful Workers Class for 40 years. She was a member of the Seniors Adult Class at Lake Shore Baptist Church in Pasadena.
She was a member of Homemakers Club in Frederick and a past president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She was active in civic and community organizations.
She is survived by one daughter, Lillian Jean Morrison of Pasadena; two sons, the Rev. Glenn Earl Masser of Venedocia, Ohio, and Leslie Donald Masser of Frederick; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lee Masser; and one granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Edgewood Church of God in Frederick. The Rev. Duanne L. Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Robert H. Keedy
Robert Harry Keedy, 73, of 103 Stouffer Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 30, 1925, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Ella Mae Bennett Keedy of Hagerstown, and the late Charles Jessup Keedy.
He retired from Central Motors; he previously was employed by Marquette Cement Co., and Schultz Chevrolet in Hanover, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He previously attended First Baptist Church.
He was a member of Pegasus Remote Control Flying Club.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Lee Smith Keedy; one daughter, Patricia Hose of Hagerstown; one brother, Charles E. Keedy of Hagerstown; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Schindel.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Richard G. Hembrock will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
