Mildred R. Hessong
Mildred Roberta Hessong, 89, formerly of Dogwood Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport.
Born Feb. 10, 1910, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Bessie Wolford Ausherman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milton Hessong, in 1990.
She was a housewife.
She was a charter member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Halfway.
She is survived by two daughters, Darline E. Smith of Williamsport and Gloria D. Mowbray of Redlands, Calif.; a son, Don R. Hessong of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three sisters, Pauline Hoover of Williamsport, Juanita Michael of Halfway and Freda Barnhart of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Marlowe.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Richard A. Gross will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Tuesday after 9 a.m.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Clark A. Crawford
Clark Alfred Crawford, 80, of 7 Winter St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at his home.
Born Dec. 15, 1918, in York, Pa., he was the son of the late James Ervin and Louise Mae Welty Crawford.
For 26 years, he was employed by Kauffman Manufacturing and Supply. Later, he retired from Brandt Cabinet Works.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he was a member of United Methodist Men.
He was a member of West End Lions Club and Red Cross Volunteer Services. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Elizabeth Crawford; four daughters, Charlotte King of Kennewick, Wash., Cynthia Peck of Boonsboro, and Patricia Kindall and Kimberly Kretzer, both of Hagerstown; a son, Robert Crawford of Hagerstown; a sister, Geraldine Geesey of York; a brother, James Crawford of York; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clark Crawford; and a brother, Gerald Crawford.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Revs. Darryl Zoller and Robert S. Barton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Geraldine M. Rider
Geraldine M. Rider, 82, of Holly Place, Hagerstown, and formerly of Englewood Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, April 2, 1999, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born July 12, 1916, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Edward B. and Bessie Mae Ridge Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman G. Rider, in 1989.
She was a 1947 graduate of Central Bible Institute.
She retired from Sears after 15 years of service.
She was a member of Christ Fellowship Assembly of God.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara J. Kent of Chambersburg; a brother, Eugene Smith of Ringgold; and three granddaughters, Melissa Kent, Michelle Kent and Mindy Kent, all of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Arvel J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Hattie I. Ridenour
Hattie I. Hutzell Ridenour, 84, of Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, died Monday, April 1, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1914, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late John Cleveland and Minnie R. Shaffer Hutzell.
Her husband, Arlis Ellsworth Ridenour, died in 1991.
She was employed by Arnett's Garage for 25 years, retiring in 1989, and previously with Fairchild Industries for 14 years.
She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Marie Stotler of Williamsport; two sons, Arlis E. Ridenour of Hagerstown and Terry Lee Ridenour of Chicago; a sister, Gladys Schamel of St. James; a brother, John Irvin Hutzell of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Brian H. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Gregory E. Bradley
BOONSBORO - Gregory Eric Bradley, 43, of 19628 Lappans Road, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore.
Born March 6, 1956, in Key West, Fla., he was the son of Mabel Bradley of Washington, D.C., and the late Orange Bradley.
He worked as a plumber's assistant.
He attended New Life Christian Ministries in Clear Spring, and Downtown Community Church in Frederick, Md.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiance, Patricia L. Blair of Boonsboro; eight children, Paul Bradley, Joshua Bradley and William Bradley, all at home, Jennifer Blair of Tacoma, Wash., Keith Blair of Phoenix, Cecelia Wood and Gregory Bradley, both of Washington, D.C., and Anita Bradley of Baltimore; one sister, Debbie Bradley of District Heights, Md.; three brothers, William Bradley, Larry Bradley and Arnold Bradley, all of Washington, D.C.; and two grandsons.
Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Arrangements are by Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
James S. Murray
James Scott Murray died Tuesday, March 30, 1999.
He was from Mount Lebanon area of Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Murray; and one daughter, Kevin Murray Adams.
Services will be held at a later date.
Margaret W. Kelley
Margaret W. Kelley, 97, formerly of 4 North Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.
Born March 7, 1902, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Ardie W. and Shirdie E. Honodel Winters.
Her husband, C. Earl Kelley, died in 1953.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean E. Hopkins of Athens, Ga.; one son, the Rev. Robert W. Kelley of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Juanita Bachtell and Catherine Holtzman, both of Boonsboro; three brothers, the Rev. Richard H. Winters and Samuel Winters, both of Hagerstown, and Ardie W. Winters of Waynesboro, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadette Palmer and Annette Winders.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Her son, the Rev. Robert W. Kelley and Pastor Edward H. Heim will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
