Ima E. Bowers
WILLIAMSPORT - Ima Eileen Bowers, 69, of 8819 Downsville Pike, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1929, in Largent, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Esrom Romanus and Mary Elizabeth Ambrose Hlett.
She was employed as a parent involvement coordinator for the Washington County Board of Education for 26 years.
She was a member of Downsville Christian Church, was an elder and a member and treasurer of Women's Christian Fellowship.
She was a member of Downsville Senior Citizens; and AARP.
She is survived by her husband, James Alvin Bowers, whom she married
July 3, 1949; two daughters, Belinda Eileen Rupp of Fairplay, and Teresa Ann Peck of Sharpsburg; a son, Gregory Allen Bowers of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three sisters, Nola F. McCabe of Keyser, W.Va., Reta A. McCabe of Hagerstown and Thelma L. Brown of Newark, Del.; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmus R. Hlett.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Downsville Christian Church, Williamsport. The Rev. E. Reese Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Friday after 9 a.m.

John H. Routzahn Jr.
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - John Henry Routzahn Jr., 76, of 2300 Marker Road, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 19, 1923, in Middletown, he was the son of the late John Henry Sr. and Martha Eleanor Sponseller Routzahn.
He was employed as a grader operator with R. F. Kline in Frederick, Md., until his retirement.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ethel Holmes Routzahn; a daughter, Connie J. Routzahn of Middletown; a son, John Henry Routzahn III of Middletown; a half brother, Charles Eugene Cramer of Elizabethtown, Pa.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The Rev. Jimmy Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

John H. Brewer
John H. Brewer, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999.
He was a retired member of the Hagerstown Police Department.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, in Europe.
He is survived by a daughter, Jill Lee of Hagerstown; a son, John A. Brewer of New Cumberland, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Jeanette K. Johnson
Jeanette Katharina Johnson, 99, of Homewood Retirement Center, Hagerstown, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at the Center.
Born May 5, 1899, in Westwood, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David and Louisa Klugman Begel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Johnson, in 1969.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Jean A. DeWolfe of Waterford, Conn., and Karen L. Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.; a grandson, James D. Johnson Jr. of Hagerstown; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James D. Johnson Sr.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Scott E. Fazenbaker
Scott Evan Fazenbaker, 47, of 17229 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 16, 1951, in Clarksburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Edward A. and Carole Cooper Fazenbaker.
He is survived by two daughters, Tracy Mozingo and Ericka Fazenbaker, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Neil "Rick" Fazenbaker of California; three grandchildren and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Fazenbaker.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Mary A. Musick
WILLIAMSPORT - Mary Alice Musick, 96, of 44 E. Village Lane, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at her home.
Born Nov. 28, 1902, in Adamsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David Franklin and Mary Ann Shea Musick.
She was a 1922 graduate of Norwin High School.
She was employed as an innkeeper for Musick Hotel in Adamsburg, until retiring.
She was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport.
She is survived by a niece, Mary K. Curtis of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; two nephews, James A. Kennedy of Saratoga, Calif., and David M. Kennedy of Hagerstown; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 32 E. Potomac St., Williamsport. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will be celebrant. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin, Pa.
Viewing will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the church.

Doris M. Byers
BOONSBORO - Doris Margaret Byers, 79, of Reeders Memorial Home, 141 S. Main St., and formerly of Salem Avenue, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 22, 1919, in Berkeley Station, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James L. and Elston F. Whitacre Ashby.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry F. Burkett.
She had been employed by J.J. Newberry in Hagerstown; and retired from Angstrom Precision in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, Greencastle, Pa.; and attended Mount Nebo United Methodist Church, Boonsboro.
She is survived by her second husband, Ralph S. Byers, whom she married
Dec. 25, 1972; a daughter, Sara L. Dayhoff of Hagerstown; three sons, James R. Burkett, Kenneth F. Burkett and Richard W. Burkett, all of Greencastle; a sister, Gladys Smith of Hagerstown; a brother, Robert Carson Ashby of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Wilda Davis, Madeline Hershberger, Emily Houser and Juanita Gigous; and a brother, James Luther Ashby.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. John W. Zsittnik will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
