Douglas B. Keller
SMITHSBURG - Douglas Brian "Doug" Keller, 36, of Berry Circle Group Home, Smithsburg, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 30, 1962, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Larry Eugene and Donna Lynn Bush Keller of Hagerstown.
He attended Kemp Horn Medical Day Care. He also attended North Street Special Education Center/Marshall Street Special Education Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Susan Taylor of Smithsburg; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a special niece, Gabby Taylor of Smithsburg.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. John W. Ailstock will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

M. Esta Butts
WILLIAMSPORT - M. Esta Butts, 92, of Williamsport Nursing Home, 154 N. Artizan St., Williamsport, and formerly of Rohrersville, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born July 2, 1906, in Mount Carmel near Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Grant and Laura Virginia Poffenberger Reeder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Butts Sr., in 1977.
She was a former employee of Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown.
She was a former member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church at Locust Grove, Md.
She is survived by one son, C. Lee Butts Jr., of Williamsport; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie Keith Butts and Richard M. Butts; and five brothers, Amos Reeder, Clarence Reeder, Jacob Reeder, Otha Reeder and Harry Reeder.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Boonsboro Cemetery. The Rev. Brian H. Moore will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James Brethren Church Building Fund, 17718 Lappans Road, St. James, MD 21781.

Martha E. Wilkinson
Martha Elizabeth Wilkinson, 72, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1926, in Dargan, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Viola Virginia Burgan Ingram.
She was employed by Washington County Hospital for 15 years.
She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her former husband, Calvin William Wilkinson of Hagerstown; one daughter, Della M. Conrad of Hagerstown; two sons, James W. Wilkinson and Larry Ingram, both of Hagerstown; four brothers, Arlie Ingram of Sharpsburg, Roland Ingram of Keedysville, Donnie Ingram of Dargan, and Bobby Ingram of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Giffin and Virginia Ingram; and three brothers, Tommy Ingram, Herbert Ingram and Willis Ingram.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Hayden L. Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Ellen L. Grimes Foote
BREVARD, N.C. - Ellen L. Grimes Foote, 76, of Greenwood Lane, Brevard, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999.
Born April 24, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Myrtle G. Grimes and the stepdaughter of the late Frances Grimes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne W. Foote, in 1998.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Roper of Cedar Mountain, N.C., Debbie Crutchfield of Advance, N.C., and Susan Finley of Easley, S.C.; three sisters, Beverly Taylor of Clear Spring, Laura Ann Bowers and Garnetta Shillingburg, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Samuel Grimes and James Grimes, both of Hagerstown; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home, Brevard. The Rev. Will Finley will officiate.

Jeanne F. Dargert
POTOMAC, Md. - Jeanne F. Dargert, 64, of 11814 Smoketree Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at his home.
Born July 1, 1934, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Arthur D. and Regina Albiniak Killen of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Dargent, on Jan. 2, 1994.
She was a graduate of Proviso High School in Maywood, Ill.
She was a retired secretary with H.L. Rust Co. in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Audrey M. Rock of Waynesboro, Pa.
There will be no service.
Private burial will be in Arlington National cemetery in Arlington, Va.

Benjamin F. Kunkleman
Benjamin F. Kunkleman, 75, of 1325 Hamilton Blvd., died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 21, 1923, he was the son of the late John and Mae Ott Kunkleman.
He held many positions at and was the president of Brandt Cabinet Works Inc.
A veteran of World War II, he was a Sgt./Major in the U.S. Army Infantry; and was in the Battle of the Bulge.
A member of First Christian Church, he had been a member and past chairman of the Board and the Board of Trustees. He was a deacon and elder.
He was a member and past chairman of the board of directors of Home Federal; was on the Washington County Hospital Board of Trustees; and was a past president of the Boys Club.
He was past president and member of Woodland Way PTA; president of Hagerstown Manufactures Bureau; a former member of the Chamber of Commerce; member and past president of Maryland Classics Inc. of Hagerstown; president of American Cedarworks Inc. of Hagerstown; marketing director of P. & D. Creative Co. Inc. of Hagerstown.
He was involved with promoting of business development in Hagerstown and Washington County with the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission.
He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, June Mahone Kunkleman; two daughters, Pamela K. Mumma and Beth K. Adams, both of Hagerstown; a son, Carl B. Kunkleman of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Thomas Kunkleman of Hagerstown and John Kunkleman of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Almeda Wolfe, Clara Hecker and Kate Hammer; and three brothers, Paul Kunkleman, Jerry Kumkleman and Charles Kunkleman.
A private graveside service will be held Friday at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Revs. Fred M. Harris and Robert L. Regenold will officiate.
