HANCOCK - Virginia Diane Creek, 47, of West Main Street, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1951, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of Edith Lucille Bishop Caldwell of Hancock.
She was a 1969 graduate of Hancock High School.
She assisted her husband in their chiropractic offices in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Hancock.
She was a member of Women's Chiropractic Association and a trainer for the Shawnee Council of Girl Scouts of America in Martinsburg.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald L. Creek of Hancock, whom she married
on Aug. 29, 1973; one daughter, Heather Galeann Creek of Hagerstown; one sister, Christine Clark of Spartanburg, S.C.; and one brother, Stephen Eugene Caldwell Sr. of Spartanburg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 2 E. High St., Hancock. The Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. and Steven L. McCarty will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at St. Thomas' Parish Hall.

Ella M. Millis
FREDERICK, Md. - Ella Mae Millis, 50, of 135 Stonegate Court, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at her home.
Born March 21, 1948, in St. Charles, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Emmett and Birdie Lavelle Flannery Thorpe.
She is survived by her husband, George Madison Millis; three daughters, Paula Latham of Knoxville, Md., Pamela Ridgely of Frederick and Matricia M. Rachel of Woodsboro, Md.; one son, George Millis III of Adamstown, Md.; three sisters, Mattie Wilson of Frederick, Elsie Rischell of Baltimore and Sue Jarvis of Adamstown; two brothers, Delbert Thorpe of Poolesville, Md., and Roy Thorpe of Woodsboro; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick. The Rev. Ervin Martin Jr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, Md.
Kenneth L. Adams
Kenneth L. Adams, 93, of 219 Potomac Heights, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Ravenwood Nursing Care Center in Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 24, 1905, in White Hall, Washington County, he was the son of the late Stanley R. and A. Blanche Suman Adams.
He retired in 1998 as chairman of the board of Steffey & Findlay Inc. He had been treasurer; and then president from 1960 until his semi-retirement in 1980.
He was a member of First Christian Church, was a trustee and elder. He sang in the choir for 70 years, taught the Young Men's Sunday School Class, was Sunday school superintendent and a member and former chairman of the Official Board.
He was a member and past president of Washington County Hospital board, and chairman of the building committee. He had been a member of the board of directors of Hagerstown Trust Co.
He was a member and past president of Hagerstown Lions Club, and received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for Distinguished Service. He was a member of Hagerstown Chapter of American Red Cross, and was chairman of the budget and finance committee. He was charter president and member of Service Corps of Retired Executives, Hagerstown Chapter. He had been a board member of the YMCA, and chaired committees. He was a member and board member of Hagerstown Chamber of Commerce; he was the treasurer of Washington County Council of Churches, and chairman of Budget and Finance from 1965 to 1994; had served on the committee of United Way; from 1988 to 1992 he was a member of Greater Hagerstown Committee; Fountain Head Country Club; Friendship Lodge 84 A.F.&A.M., Ithiel Chapter 27 R.A.M., Palestine Council 16 R.S.M., St. Bernard Commandery 9 K.T., Queen Esther Chapter 3 O.E.S., and Ali Ghan Shrine Temple of Cumberland, Md.
He is survived by his wife, Margaree Miller Adams; two daughters, Alice M.A. Wright of Belle Meade, N.J., and Carolyn A. Ridenour of Gaithersburg, Md.; one son, Philip K. Adams of Hagerstown; one sister, Elizabeth F. Beyard of Hagerstown; one granddaughter; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Fred M. Harris and the Rev. Robert L. Regenold will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Dorothy M. Hanlin
LINDALE, Texas - Dorothy M. Hanlin, 70, of Lindale, and formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at a Tyler, Texas hospital.
She was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Geneva, N.Y.
She was a retired nurse from Jamestown General Hospital, and U.T. Health Center in Tyler.
She was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Moore of Lindale; a son, David Hanlin of Hagerstown; and four grandchildren.
Joseph M. Blickenstaff
Joseph Maynard Blickenstaff, 80, of 308 Avon Road, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at his home.
Born May 20, 1918, in Chewsville, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Lizzie M. Palmer Blickenstaff.
He was a toolmaker at Fairchild Aircraft; and later worked at Mack Trucks Inc. from 1962 to 1999.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, A. Mary Blickenstaff of Hagerstown; a daughter, JoAnn C. Schaeffer of Gambrill, Md.; two sons, Jimmie J. Blickenstaff of Hagerstown and Jay M. Blickenstaff of Clear Spring; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Darryl C. Zoller and Jim Davies will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Charles H. Jones
Charles Henry Jones, 68, of 645 Forest Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 31, 1930, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late John and Theadosia Dorsey Jones.
He attended North Street School.
He retired as a truck driver for C. William Hetzer Inc.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of Sportsman Club 73.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Jones Aiken of Bristol, Conn.; a son, Charles Albert Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Johnny Jones of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Brown.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer African Methodist Church. The Rev. Leroy Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Thelma H. Young
WILLIAMSPORT - Thelma Helen Young, 65, of 15713 Fenton Ave., Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at her home.
Born May 22, 1933, in Beaver Creek, she was the daughter of the late Charles Barnett and Harriet Susan Ludy Young.
She was employed as a weaver for Alkahn Label Mill until her retirement. She previously was employed by Maryland Ribbon Co., Hagerstown.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport.
She is survived by three sisters, Goldie V. Rowland of St. James, Sadie K. Shoemaker of Hagerstown and Mae A. Timmons of Clear Spring; a brother, Evans W. Young of Williamsport; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Albert L. Leaf Memorial Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.
