Maxine K. Unger
Maxine K. Unger, 85, of Security Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 26, 1913, near Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Max C. and Frankie Fogler Unger.
She was a member of St. Peter's Beard Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mae U. Trovinger of Hagerstown, with whom she lived for 34 years; a niece; three nephews; nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor M. Coss; and a brother, Franklin Fogler Unger.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Beard Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carroll L. Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.
Vauda A. Martz
Vauda A. Martz, 76, of Mount Aetna Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at her home.
Born July 25, 1922, in Chewsville, she was daughter of the late John R. and Daisy O. Brunner Kline.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roger Martz, in 1996.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters, Darlene A. Kline and Shirley M. Palmer, both of Hagerstown, and Regina P. Creager of Waynesboro; two sons, Roger E. Martz and Larry W. Martz, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Martha Williams of Smithsburg and Mable Armstrong of Lappans; three brothers, Daniel Kline of Hagerstown, Clarence Kline of Chewsville and Jerry Kline of Smithsburg; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary E. Witmer; four brothers, Bernard Kline, Kenneth Kline, Grayson Kline Sr. and John Kline.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Church of God. Pastor Gregory L. Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.

Opal A. Davis
Opal Armeda Davis, 71, of HCR 80, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown.
Born Aug. 22, 1927, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Dorey Franklin and Blanche Ray Robinette.
She was retired from Londontown Manufacturing, Hancock, as a seamstress.
She was a member of Buck Valley Christian Church, Buck Valley, Pa.
She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine R. Burton, Beverly A. Malott and Brenda L. Poole, all of Warfordsburg, Pa.; three sons, Arnold R. Davis of Warfordsburg, Kenneth T. Davis of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Ronald L. Davis of Reno, Nevada; six sisters, Lena Payne of Baker, W.Va., Esther Newton of Deridder, La., Velda Clanton, Eunice C. Robinette and Norma Robinette, all of Hagerstown, and Charlotte Clippinger of Needmore, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald L. Robinette and John Robinette; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Buck Valley Christian Church. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock and at the church one hour prior to the service.
For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open on Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m.
Paul D. Myers
MURRELLS INLET, SC. - Paul D. Myers, 66, of Salters Cove, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Hancock United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Doris M. Libby
Doris Marie Libby, 94, formerly of 20320 Youngstoun Court, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Center.
Born May 30, 1904, in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith Gulliver Chandler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson P. Libby, who died in 1982.
She was a member of Second Congregational Church in Brewer, Maine; Christian Women Fellowship and she also attended First Christian Church in Hagerstown.
She is survived by two daughters, Mabelle L. Willis of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Prudence L. Crocker of Portland, Maine; a son, Robert Libby of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Eunice Greer of Houston, 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Glaster and two sons, William G. Libby and Jackson Libby.
Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.

Charlotte E. Stevenson
Charlotte E. Stevenson, 90, of 13035 Little Antietam Road, Hagerstown, and formerly of North Prospect Street, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 17, 1908, in Paramount, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles Wilbur and Mary Elizabeth Kriner Ridenour.
Her husband, John H. Stevenson, died in 1974.
She was employed by Maryland Ribbon Co., retiring in 1970.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles H. Stevenson of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and N. Curt Stevenson of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Jack N. Fullen will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Lester L. Reynolds, Jr.
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Lester L. "Leechel" Reynolds Jr., 56, of South Maryland Ave., Brunswick, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, of cancer.
Born May 13, 1942, in Frederick County, she was the son of the late Lester L. and Marian L. Reynolds.
He was a 1962 graduate of Brunswick High School.
He was employed with B&O Railroad as a conductor and with CSX Transportation for 34 years.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Brunswick.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 1136, Brunswick Moose Club, Sons of the American Legion, Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company, a life member of Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department, past president of Lions Club of Brunswick, lifetime charter member of Round Hill Eagles Club, President of UTU, chairman of Annual Santa Train Committee, chairman of Annual Memorial Service honoring the crew and passengers of P-286 and chairman of the annual Needy Family Drive.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Reynolds; two daughters, Geri Lee Reynolds of Knoxville, Md., and Roberta Reynolds of Pennsylvania; a son, Kregg Reynolds of Knoxville; two stepsons, Richard Burracker and Timothy Burracker, both of West Virginia; three brothers, Clyde Reynolds of Sandy Hook, Md., James Reynolds and Charles Reynolds, both of Brunswick; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Brunswick. The Rev. Stephen A. Swift and the Rev. Thomas Staup will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Petersville, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will also be open on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
