Rachial C. Frost
Rachial C. Frost, 82, of 113 Belview Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1916, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Martha C. Carbaugh Schildknecht.
She attended Waynesboro schools.
She was a member of Old Otterbein United Brethren Church.
She was a volunteer at area nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband, George M. Frost; a son, Ronald G. Frost of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur O. Schildknecht; and three sisters, Anita B. Schildknecht, Victoria M. Gordon and Alverta L. Monn.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Loyal Vanderveer will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Morgan J. McGowan
Morgan John "Mac" McGowan, 58, of 17411 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa, he was the son of the late Joseph Francis and Irene Glavin McGowan.
He was a 1957 graduate of Knoxville Catholic High School, where he was a star basketball player. He attended Carson Neumon College in Tennessee.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962.
He was last employed with Montgomery Ward. He previously was employed as a supervisor and dock manager of Mason-Dixon, Eastern Express, Time DC and Highway Express trucking companies
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Knoxville.
He was a life member of VFW in Greencastle, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. McGowan; a daughter, Evin Kathleen McGowan, at home; three sons, Patrick George McGowan at home, John Gavin McGowan of Atlanta and Joseph Francis McGowan of Knoxville; two sisters, Ellin Johnson of Knoxville and Shirley Laib of Cincinnati; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Christopher Moore will be celebrant.
Friends may call Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
Paul G. Geisbert Sr.
FREDERICK, Md. - Paul Gilds Geisbert Sr., 91, of Baker Valley Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1907, near Creagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Charles Gilds Geisbert Sr. and Sarrah Eliza Snouffer Geisbert
He was a 1928 graduate of Frederick County Public School system.
He had been employed by The (Baltimore) Sun in the 1930s and operated a dairy farm on Baker Valley Road until he retired in 1970.
A member of Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, he had served as a Sunday School teacher, church deacon, Lay Witness and choir member.
He held memberships and served as director of the following boards: Farmers Co-operative Association, Capitol Milk Producers Co-operative, Production Credit Association and was a board member of Great Frederick Fair. He was a member of Carroll Manor Grange and Carroll Manor Lions Club, Frederick County Farm Bureau and Frederick County Farm Museum.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Fern E. Roderick Geisbert; his children, Geraldine Krantz, Dorothy Kelly, Ronald Geisbert and D. Michael Geisbert, all of Frederick, Shirley Enfield of Knoxville, Md., Sara Black of Union Bridge, Md., Paul Geisbert Jr. of Middletown, Md., and Clifford Geisbert of Thurmont, Md.; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael Kelly and Jennifer Geisbert; five sisters, Margaret Duff, Ella Murphy, Jeannette Smith, Stella Troupe and Catherine Cramer; and three brothers, Charles Elmer Geisbert, Earle F. Geisbert and Ira C. Geisbert.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren. The Rev. John D. Green Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Everil M. Ruminer
WESTMINSTER, Md. - Everil M. Gamber Ruminer, 89, of Westminster, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at her daughter's home.
Born May 5, 1909, in Gamber, Md., she was the daughter of the late Rueben Charles and Mary Catherine Harris Gamber.
She was a ticket agent in Westminster with the bus service. She owned and operated Terminal Liquors and Bus Station on East Main Street in Westminster.
She attended St. Mary's United Church of Christ in Silver Run, Md.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Farm Post 467, and 29th Division Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Johnson of Harbour, Ore., and Pat Welty of Westminster, with whom she resided; a son, Donald Bankard of Concord, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Nathian Bankard Jr.; two sisters, Grace Dull and Lydia Grant; and four brothers, Roy Gamber, Ivan Gamber, Floyd Gamber and Atlee Gamber.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. The Rev. Richard Scott will officiate, assisted by Mary Shimo, chaplain. Burial will be in Baust Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

C. Lester Eyerly Sr.
C. Lester Eyerly Sr., 89, of 750 Dual Highway, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 10, 1909 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Albert Hassler and Elizabeth Ebersole Eyerly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Nield Eyerly, in 1996.
He was employed by Eastern Products Corp. for 21 years, retiring in 1977. Before that he worked at Schindle and Rohr and Co. Inc.
He was a member of Salem Reformed Church U.C.C.
He was a life member of Maugansville Fire Co.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Ann Clingan of Frederick, Md., Lois Ellen Campbell of Wake Forest, N.C., and Sally Elizabeth Preble of Westminster, Md.; a son, Charles Lester Eyerly Jr. of Martinez, Calif.; two brothers, Ray H. Eyerly of Baltimore and J. Lewis Eyerly of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Vesta E. Cullen.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Salem Reformed Church U.C.C., 13182 Salem Church Road, Hagerstown. The Rev. Sharon L. Forbes will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Reformed Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Elizabeth F. Aikens
BOONSBORO - Elizabeth Florence Aikens, 71, of 21 Ford Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at her home.
Born Sept. 17, 1927, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of Anna Griffith Haupt of Boonsboro and the late Wheeler I. Haupt.
She retired in 1988 from Washington County Free Library after 19 years and was formerly employed at Pleasant Valley Elementary School and Boonsboro High School.
She was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Aikens Jr.; a daughter, Linda Hansen of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Charles Aikens of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Dale Carver will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
