Glenn C. Hartle
MAUGANSVILLE - Glenn Carroll Hartle, 71, of 14036 Village Mill Drive, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Takoma Park, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline Lum Hartle.
He was a carpenter for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Marie Hartle; two daughters, Kathy S. Cosens of Boonsboro and Penny K. Hartle of Decatur, Ill.; a son, Gregory L. Hartle of Hagerstown; three sisters, Connie Hoffman of Waynesboro, Pa., Virginia Moyer of Williamsburg, Ky., and Wilda Biser of Hagerstown; four brothers, Will Hartle and Dave Hartle, both of Caledonia, Miss., Stewart Hartle of Williamsburg and Donald Hartle of Bedford, Va.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl A. Hartle Hoover; sisters and brothers.
Private graveside services will be at Beaver Creek Cemetery, Beaver Creek. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Arrangements are by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
Donald R. Trainor
Donald R. Trainor, 47, of 730 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, and formerly of Central Falls, R.I., and Waynesboro, Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 9, 1951, in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late Edward J. and Claire Dorais Trainor.
He was general manager for Stationary House in Hagerstown, where he worked for 15 years.
He was a member of Church of Christ, Hagerstown.
He served in the Rhode Island Air National Guard, and was a member of Waynesboro Moose Club, and Waynesboro Eagles Club.
He is survived by one son, Donald S. Trainor of North Attleboro, Mass.; one daughter, Hillary Quinn Trainor of Waynesboro; one stepdaughter, Angie Davis of Waynesboro; four brothers, Gerald Trainor of Bristol, R.I., Edward Trainor and John Trainor, both of Pawtucket, R.I., and Michael Trainor of Hazleton, Pa.; and one sister, Maryann Golombeiwski of Pawtucket; and one grandson.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Church of Christ, Hagerstown.
There will be no visitation.

Anna B. Frush
Anna Blanche Frush, 76, of 926 Guilford Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at her home.
Born March 14, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Jewel and Blanche Elizabeth Runkles Manspeaker.
She was a 1940 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Glenn Frush; one daughter, Glenda Frush of Hagerstown; two sons, James Frush of Hagerstown, and Steven Frush of Williamsport; three sisters, Martha Viola Gish and Edith Pauline King, both of Hagerstown, and Frances Helen Shank of Williamsport; four brothers, Richard Jewel Manspeaker, Henry Franklin Manspeaker, Walter Ray Manspeaker and Elmer Lee Manspeaker, all of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Elizabeth Green, Ethel Mae Myers, Rayetta Virginia Manspeaker and Evelyn Lorraine Manspeaker; and five brothers, William Marshall Manspeaker, Howard Wesley Manspeaker, Raymond Charles Manspeaker, Robert Elwood Manspeaker and Herbert Lewis Manspeaker.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Andrew J. Cooney will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Paul R. Miller
Paul Ragan Miller, 49, of 446 N. Mulberry St., died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at his home.
Born March 21, 1949, in Elkton, Md., he was the son of A. Romayne and Doris Evelyn Harp Miller of Hagerstown.
He was a 1967 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College and Shepherd College.
He owned and operated the Computer Outlet in Hagerstown from 1989 to 1998. He was an instructor in computer science at Hagerstown Junior College from 1982 to 1984. For many years, he gave organ lessons, and served as organist for area churches.
He was a professional wrestling manager for his son, W. Christopher Miller, and was affiliated with Superior Wrestling School and National Wrestling League.
He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 62 of Bethel United Methodist Church, Chewsville.
He was a member of Independent Junior Fire Co. 3.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee Johnson Miller, whom he married
July 3, 1969; one son, William Christopher Miller of Hagerstown; one sister, Priscilla Miller of Hagerstown; one brother, Perry Christopher Miller of Hagerstown; and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 21006 Twin Springs Drive, Chewsville. The Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

John P. Gilroy
John Patrick Gilroy, 83, of 905 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 16, 1915, in Bristol, R.I., he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Darcy Gilroy.
He retired from Fairchild Aircraft in 1982 after many years in quality assurance.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and then the Air Force.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia A. Gilroy; two daughters, Ann E. Wells and Sharon C. Brown, both of Hagerstown; a son, Patrick J. Gilroy of York, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Andrew S. Mohl will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, with military services by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m.
Mary H. Miller
WILLIAMSPORT - Mary Hartsough Miller, 89, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Homewood Nursing Facility in Williamsport.
Born Feb. 15, 1909, in Napanee, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harvey LeRoy Hartsough and Ida Grace Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. DeWitt L. Miller, in 1997.
She was educated at Manchester College in Indiana.
She taught cooking and home decorating in the public school systems of Somerset County, Pa., McPherson County, Kansas and Washington County.
She served Hagerstown Church of the Brethren with her husband, beginning in 1954.
She was a member of P.E.O. in McPherson, Kan., and in Hagerstown.
She is survived by a son, David L. Miller of Syracuse, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Dianna M. Miller of Palo Alto, Calif., and John D. Miller of Boston.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, at 4 p.m., at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, followed by a fellowship supper.
