EUGENE T. FLEISCHHAUER
MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - Eugene Thomas Fleischhauer, 77, of Midlothian, died Feb. 12, 1997, in Chesterfield.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia F. Fleischhauer; three sons and their families, Dr. Thomas F. and Karen S. Fleischhauer and children of Apex, N.C., Jeffrey A. and Lisa C. Fleischhauer and children of Roanoke, and Grier S. and Kristin S. Fleischhauer and children of Midlothian; a brother, John G. and Mildred Fleischhauer of Cumberland, Md.; nieces, Judith Buckbee and Jean Schramm and families; sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Verna) Fleischhauer; and nephew, Harry Eugene Fleischhauer.
Mr. Fleischhauer was the son of the late William Henry and Martha Jane (Jenny) Starke Fleischhauer of Richmond.
He graduated from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 12th Air Force in North Africa as a navigator on a B-17.
His plane was shot down over Italy and he became a prisoner of war from Sept. 4, 1943, to May 1, 1945, in Stalag Luft I, Barth, Germany.
He graduated from M.I.T. in 1950 and was a research and development engineer as an inventor of new products, and was awarded many patents during his professional life.
He was a member of the Denny Landrum Chapter of the Am. Ex-POW.
Memorial services were held at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, Richmond, on Feb. 16, 1997.
Private interment ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery will be attended by family members only.

ANNA J. FLETCHER
LITTLE ORLEANS - Anna Jane Fletcher, 68, of Price Road, NE, Little Orleans, died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland.
Born July 25, 1928, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Albert and Anna Jane (Piper) Hollenbaugh.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Phoebe Norris; and six brothers, Samuel, John, Charles, Roy, George and Billy Hollenbaugh.
Mrs. Fletcher was employed for 17 years by London Fog in Hancock.
She was a member of Price Wesleyan Memorial Church, Little Orleans.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Allan Fletcher; four daughters, Alice Turner and husband Bob, Carol Riggleman and husband Robert, Little Orleans, Penny Powell and husband Russell, and Beverly Moyer and husband Larry, Artemas, Pa.; one son, Roy Fletcher and wife Linda, Little Orleans; one sister, Helen Rankin and husband Vernon, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one brother, Harry Hollenbaugh and wife Hilda, Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, 1997, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Daryl McClain officiating.
Burial will be in the Price Wesleyan Memorial Cemetery, Little Orleans.
For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland, MD 21502.
VIRGINIA L. FLETCHER
CUMBERLAND - Virginia Lee Fletcher, 58, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1938, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James Kelly and Thelma (Knippenberg) Fletcher.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Kenneth, Earl, Donald, and William Fletcher.
Miss Fletcher attended the Melvin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Betty Jean Bowman, Cumberland, Peggy J. Logdson and husband William, Ridgeley, W.Va., Carole A. Tribut and husband John, Short Gap, W.Va., and Darlene Taylor, Ridgeley, W.Va; two sisters-in-law, Delores Fletcher, Bowling Green, and Rita Fletcher, Lawton, Okla.; several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; a few great-great-nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Lyle Light, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene Street, Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 14, 1997, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William S. Hart officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Flintstone.
Pallbearers will be John Tribut, Sr., John Tribut, Jr., Coy Robinson, Steve Logdson, Paul Fletcher, and Mike Fletcher.
VITALIS L. FOLEY
KEYSER, W.Va. - Vitalis L. Foley, 100, of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, Keyser, formerly of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, June 21, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born March 12, 1897, in Great Cacapon, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Emma A. (Allen) Henry.
She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Malcolm R. (Pete) James, in 1949, and Atlee Foley, in 1966.
Mrs. Foley was a homemaker and a former member of the Great Cacapon Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Jean Bodie, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Arthur Henry, Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, Md.; one grandson, James Newkirk, Hagerstown, Md.; two great-grandchildren; and a number of neices and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel Starling officiating.
Interment will be in the Philos Cemetery, Westernport.

BETTY M. FOLTZ
STEPHENS CITY, Va. - Betty Marie (Woods) Foltz, 69, of Stephens City, formerly of Midland, Md., died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at the Winchester Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lefton Foltz; one daughter, Lyn Jones and husband James, Marshall; two grandchildren, Theresa Sunday and husband Joseph, Lakeland, Fla., and Lefton Jones of Manassas; three sisters, Roseann Morton, Laurel, Md., Mary Leone Woods, Rockville, Md., and Coletta Foote, LaVale, Md.
Funeral services were conducted at the Jones Funeral Home, Stephens City, on Tuesday, June 3, 1997.
The Rev. Dennis Kleinmann of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stephens City, officiated.
Graveside service and interment was in Stonewall Memorial Garden, Manasses.
ROY C. FOLTZ
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Roy Cecil Foltz, 86, of E.A. Hawse Continuous Care Center, Baker, formerly of Romney, died Monday, June 9, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born Sept. 12, 1910, in North River Mills, he was the son of the late Gorda Foltz and Nannie (Kidwell) Foltz.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Golda M. Baker, on Oct. 9, 1983; one sister, Jewell Bowman; and one grandson, Conard E. Foltz Jr.
Mr. Foltz was formerly employed by Romney Orchards, and Hampshire Distributors, Romney.
Surviving are one daughter, Arvella Kesner, Winchester, Va.; two sons, Roger Foltz, Winchester, Va., and Conrad Foltz, Strasburg, Va.; six sisters, Louise Snyder, Onile Kimble, both of Romney, Pauline Kidwell, Dola Foltz, and Mary Bohrer, all of Paw Paw, and Enid Blizzard, Cumberland; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 12, 1997, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harley Baldwin officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney.
