LUTHER W. BORROR
KEYSER, W.Va. - Luther W. Borror, 86, of Route 1, Box 158, Keyser, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at the Veterans Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born June 17, 1911, in Mineral County, he was a son of the late William O. and Eliza O. (Staggs) Borror.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie C. (Reeves) Borror, on Oct. 13, 1990; one brother, Roy H. Borror; and two sisters, Ethel Borror and Violet Parish.
Mr. Borror was a former employee of the B&O Railroad, and the owner of Borror's Auction Service.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He attended the former Fountain United Brethren Church. He was a member of the Fountain Ruritan Club, Fountain; Queens Point Memorial Post No. 6775 VFW, McCoole, Md., and Victory Post No. 155 American Legion, Westernport, Md.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary K. Snyder and Shirley A. Lee, both of Keyser; one brother, William M. Borror, Fort Ashby; one sister, Lucille Kidwell, Colonial Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Private graveside services for the family will be conducted on Friday with Mr. Craig Wagoner officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ROY HOWARD BORROR
KEYSER, W.Va. - Roy Harold Borror, 82, of Lynmar Street, Keyser, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1997 at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home at Keyser.
Born Aug. 25, 1914 at Keyser, he was a son of the late William O. and Eliza O. (Staggs) Borror.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Harold Edwin Borror; two sisters, Violet Parish and Ethel Borror.
Mr. Borror was a retired owner/operator of the Arco Service Station in Fairfax. Va. and Keyser.
He was a member of the Victory Independent Baptist Church at Keyser.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel K. (Summers) Borror; two sons, Jerry Borror of Keyser, and Calvin Borror of Fairfax; two brothers, Luther Borror, a resident at the Veterans Administration Center at Martinsburg and William Borror of Fort Ashby; one sister, Lucille Kidwell of Colonial Beach, Va.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randall Larry and Pastor John Bonds officiating.
Interment will be in Cabin Run Cemetery at Keyser.
BEATRICE V. BOSLEY
ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Beatrice V. Bosley, 65, of Elk Garden, died on Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 26, 1931, in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Prova (Smith) Wolfe.
Mrs. Bosley was Pentecostal by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Luther V. Bosley; one son, Calvin F. Bosley and wife Ginger E., New Creek; six grandchildren, Kacia, Nikki, C.J., and Hannah Bosley, and John and Heather Berg; one sister, Neva Robinson, Cumberland; and a former daughter-in-law, Susan E. Bosley, Elk Garden.
Friends will be received at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Murlen Brasted and the Rev. Wayne Funkhouser officiating.
Interment will be in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
CLIFFORD R. BOSLEY SR.
BASYE, Va. - Clifford Raymon Bosley Sr., 56, of 92 Connie Road, Basye, died on Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, at the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.
Born July 2, 1941, in Richmond, he was the son of the late Frederick and Grace Eustace Bosley.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Paul Bosley Jr.
Mr. Bosley served in the U.S. Army for 20 years from 1961 to 1981.
He was employed with Orion Network, Mount Jackson.
Mr. Bosley was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra L. Bosley; three daughters, Kim O'Kane, Hagerstown, Md., Cheri L. Miller, Frederick, Md., and Melissa Bosley, Basye; two sons, Clifford R. Bosley Jr. and Michael Bosley, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Billy Jo Phillippi, Spotsylvania, Mary Moore, Virginia Beach, Elaine Palos, Chesapeake, and Candace Guadalupe, Virginia Beach; three brothers, Darryl Black and Albert Hardison, both of Moyock, N.C., and Jeffery Black, Saxe; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald D. Carbaugh officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, W.Va., with the Rev. Don Kesner officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
JOHN W. BOSLEY
BLOOMINGTON - John W. Bosley, 62, of Knight Street, Bloomington, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born May 14, 1934, in Bloomington, he was the son of Edris (Elliott) Bosley, of Bloomington, and the late John Bosley.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie (Farris) Bosley, in 1994; and a brother, Donald Bosley.
Mr. Bosley was retired from the Island Creek Coal Co. He was an avid hunter.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, John Paul Bosley and wife Emogene, Westernport; one brother Robert Bosley, Bloomington; two sisters, Margaret Paugh, Backbone Mountain, and Ruth Cavey, Bloomington; and one granddaughter, Casey Bosley.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. William Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Paugh, Ed Paugh, Bill Paugh, Terry Cavey, Rob Cavey and Shane Bosley.
ALFRED J. BOUTEILLER, JR.
WESTERNPORT - Alfred Joseph Bouteiller Jr., 57, of the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, formerly of 247 Main St., Westernport, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born Feb. 4, 1940, in Derby, Conn., he was the son of the late Alfred Bouteiller Sr. and the late Catherine Ann (Gondola) Bouteiller.
Mr. Bouteiller was a retired EMC with the United States Navy with 20 years of service as an electrical engineer, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are one son, A.J. Bouteiller III, Norfolk, Va.; two daughters, Debra Ann Boude, Michigan, and Catherine Lee Kyle and husband Ernest, Barton; two sisters, Ieala Wojczack, Connecticut, and Sandra Moran, Florida; and four grandchildren, Robin Bouteiller, Rebecca Bouteiller, Cody Kyle and Sarah Kyle.
At Mr. Bouteiller's request he was cremated. His ashes will be taken to the Norfolk Naval Base for burial at sea.
The Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
JOSEPH PATRICK "PAT" BOWEN
CORRIGANVILLE - Joseph Patrick "Pat" Bowen, 66, of Corriganville, died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 27, 1931, in Clarksburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lewis and Edna (Rollins) Bowen. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Lee (Shank) Bowen; one son, Michael Joseph Bowen; two brothers, John and William Bowen; and one sister, Ruth Ann Ayers.
Mr. Bowen was a diesel mechanic for Beckwith Machinery, Somerset, Pa., for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and getting together with his many friends in the great outdoors.
Surviving are one stepson, Michael L. Shank; two granddaughters, Kristin K. Shank and Cassie M. Shank; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the First Wesleyan Church, Cresaptown, Monday at 10 a.m. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Romney, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the ICU or CIRU at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, 600 Memorial Avenue, Cumberland, MD 21502.
JAMES F. BOWERS JR.
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - James F. Bowers Jr., 76, of Fort Ashby, died Monday, March 3, 1997, in Memorial Hospital.
Born March 7, 1920, in Fort Ashby, he was the son of the late J. Floren Bowers Sr., and Carrie (Keister) Bowers. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Willa L. (Broome) Bowers on Jan. 10, 1997; one sister, Mabel Bowers; and two brothers Eldon Bowers, U.S. Navy killed in World War II, and Arnold C. Bowers.
Mr. Bowers was a graduate of Ridgeley High School. He was a retired bus driver for the Mineral County Board of Education, and served as leader/advisor for the Mineral County 4-H Club and the Future Farmers of America. He helped with the Mineral County Fair and Livestock Sale. In addition, he was known for barbequing beef at the Burlington Apple Festival. He was a member of Trucks Unlimited; the Upper Potomac Auto Club; and the West Virginia Farm Bureau. He was Methodist by faith.
Surviving are his son, James H. Bowers, Fort Ashby; one sister, Jean Emch and husband Joe, Morgantown; one brother, Herman M. Bowers, Morgantown; three grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 6, 1997, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Broome Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
