MAYO A. KREILING
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Mayo A. Kreiling, 78, of Scottsdale, formerly of Frostburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997 at Scottsdale.
He was born in Frostburg.
Mr. Kreiling was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge of Oklahoma, and was a Shriner in Maryland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; and three sons, Karl, Tempe, Ariz., Gary, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Paul, Santa Monica, Calif.
Memorial services will be conducted at the Newcomer Family Mortuary Chapel, 6812 East Thomas Rd., Scottsdale, on Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 South 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.
GOLDIE P. KREIP
FROSTBURG - Goldie Pearl Kreip, 77, of 23 Little Savage Lane, Frostburg, died Thursday, March 6, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1919, in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Solemon and Susan (Caton) Caton.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Kreip, in 1973; and two brothers, Jamie and Carl Caton.
Mrs. Kreip was retired as a cook from the Happy Hills Restaurant.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Finzel.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Grace E. Provance, Odenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lee Williams officiating.
Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
A. CATHERINE KROLL
SOMERSET, Pa. - A. Catherine Kroll, 92, of 2050 North Centerville Road, Somerset, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at her daughter's residence, with whom she resided.
Born July 28, 1905, in Zihlman, she was the daughter of the late William H. and L. Jane (Poole) Geary.
She also was preceded in death by her husband Earl E. Kroll in 1986; five brothers andthree sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Kroll was a homemaker. She was a member of the Allegany United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Vernon Kroll, and wife Joan, Bedford, Pa.; one daughter, Sylvia Shinholt, and husband, Dr. James Shinholt, Somerset; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in the United Methodist Cemetery, Mount Savage.
NOAH A.R. KUHN
CARPENDALE, W.Va. - Noah Aaron Robert Kuhn, three weeks old, of Carpendale, made his journey to Heaven on Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997. We know he is in the loving care of his Pap and Granny Kelley, Grandma and Granddad Kuhn, and Grandma and Granddad Chavis.
Born Sept. 28, 1997, in Morgantown, he was the son of Cory Allen "Pete" Kuhn and Samantha Carolyn (Bussard) Kuhn.
Noah is also survived by his brother, Jaymes Allen Harley Kuhn, at home; his paternal grandparents, Jay and Cathy Kuhn, Carpendale; maternal grandparents, Sam and Sheila Bussard, Spring Gap, Md.; paternal great-grandparents, James and Eleanore Kuhn, Triple Lakes, and Steve and JoAnn Wray, Cascade, Va.; maternal great-grandparents, Herman and Grace Bussard, Cumberland, Md., and Russ and Carol Beckman, Spring Gap; paternal great-great-grandma, Catherine Ritchie, Spring Gap; uncle Russell Bussard, wife Linda and cousin Nathan, Cumberland; aunt, Mary Kuhn, Carpendale; several great-aunts and great-uncles, including a special great-uncle Bob Kelley, Cumberland; and great-aunt and great-uncle, Elizabeth and Larry Huff, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Harry L. Burchell Jr. officiating.

JOHN P. KURILLA
OAKLAND - John Paul Kurilla, 60, of Oakland, died Monday, March 10, 1997, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland,
Born Aug. 21, 1936, in Gates, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul Kurilla and Mary Kurilla.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Kurilla.
Mr. Kurilla managed and later owned the Ben Franklin Store in Oakland for many years, as well as the Sears Catalog Store.
Prior to retirement he owned and operated the K&J Variety Store.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a Fourth Degree Knight, Past Grand Knight, and current treasurer of Council 1771 Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Lodge 2481 B.P.O.E.; past member of the Oakland Town Council; a high school basketball stand-out; and was very active and made many contributions over the years to many Oakland and surrounding area civic and volunteer organizations.
Surviving are his wife, Betty (Karlovich) Kurilla; one son, Jeff Kurilla, Oakland; one daughter, Kim Grey, Laurel; and three sisters, Mary Glavac, Euclid, Ohio, Barbara Peluso, Carmichael, Pa., and Irene Shine, Masontown, Pa.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Father Richard Spencer as celebrant.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
CHARLES B. KUYKENDALL
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. - Charles "Charlie" B. Kuykendall, 79, of Elm Street, Moorefield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, after a long illness.
Born July 10, 1918, in Hardy County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Michael and Hattie (Wratchford) Kuykendall.
Mr. Kuykendall was the owner and operator of the Kuykendall's Radio and TV, Moorefield.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
He was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, the John M. Golliday Post 64 American Legion, the Denny-Pratt-Moyers Post 9606 VFW, the Disabled American Veterans Association, an Honorary member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company 46, a Founding Board member of the Valley TV Co-op, and a former Operating Engineer for WELD Radio Station, Fisher.
Surviving are his wife Kathleen (George) Kuykendall; one son, Larry Kuykendall, Moorefield; two sisters, Blanche Koontz, Romney, and Mary Sions, Harrisonburg, Va.; and one granddaughter, Pastor Renee Kuykendall-Scholten, Harrisonburg.
Friends may call at the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Veteran's Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Pastor Renee Kuykendall-Scholten and the Pastor Buzz Weatherholtz officiating.
Mr. Kuykendall will be taken to the church one hour prior to the time of service.
Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery, where Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Moorefield Veteran's Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company or to the Moorefield Church of the Brethren Building Maintenance Fund.
HARRY A. KUYKENDALL
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Harry A. Kuykendall, 88, of 450 Depot St., Romney, died Thursday, April 3, 1997, at the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Jan. 19, 1908, in Hardy County, he was a son of the late Mike J. Kuykendall and Hattie (Wratchford) Kuykendall.
Mr. Kuykendall was a retired mechanic.
He was a member of the Romney Brethren Church and was a deacon of the church.
Surviving is his wife, Gertie (George) Kuykendall.
Mr. and Mrs. Kuykendall celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10, 1996.
Also surviving are four daughters, Violet J. Smith, Baltimore, Phyllis J. Robertson, Essex, Md., Irene V. Minturn, Essex, and Bernita J. Ham, Marion, Va.; one brother, Charles Kuykendall, Moorefield; two sisters, Blanche Koontz, Romney, and Mary Sions, Harrisonburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Miller Funeral Home, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Roger Leatherman officiating.
Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields.
