ELIZABETH T. AMANN
WESTERNPORT - Elizabeth T. Amann, 83, of 421 Hammond St., formerly of 274 Main St., Westernport, died Monday, July 21, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born Jan. 24, 1914, in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Delphia (Dayton) Biddle.
She also was preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Amann, in 1985; one brother, Louis Biddle; and two sisters, Louise Miller and Leota Biddle.
Mrs. Amann was a homemaker and a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, Westernport Senior Citizens and the Kelly Mansfield Post 52 Ladies Auxiliary, Piedmont, W.Va.
Surviving are one son, Paul R. Amann and wife Debra, Keyser, W.Va.; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Kertesz and husband Robert, Westernport, Rita McCrobie and husband Charles, Swanton, and Faye Harris, Westernport; three sisters, Gladys Taylor, Westernport, Leona Worgan, Moran Manor Nursing Home, and Marguerite Armentrout, Westernport; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Bowers, Michael Warnick II, Allison Amann and Paula Amann; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla Bowers and Jared Eyler.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Father James Hannon as celebrant.
Interment will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Westernport.
REV. DR. HOWARD M. AMOSS
DOVER, Pa. - Rev. Dr. Howard M. Amoss, 93, formerly of Fort Myers, Fla., also formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, in York Hospital, York.
A native of Fallston, the Rev. Doctor Amoss was a graduate of Western Maryland College and Wesley Thological Seminary, Westminster. He also was a former pastor of the Centre Street United Methodist Church, Cumberland. He was a retired United Methodist minister from the Baltimore and Peninsula Conferences of Maryland, a former pastor in Fort Myers churches, and a former Bible study teacher and program coordinator at the Marriott Calusa Harbour Retirement Home, Fort Myers.
He was the widower of Ernestine O. Amoss.
Surviving are two daughters, June A. Karschner of Dillsburg, Pa., and Dorothy A. Boehm, of Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Fork United Methodist Church, Fork, in November.
The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa., has handled the arrangements.
BONNIE M. ANDERSON
CUMBERLAND - Bonnie Mae Anderson, 53, of Mexico Farms, Cumberland, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, from Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 2, 1943, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Struntz) Smith.
Mrs. Anderson was a former employee of Sears, and an active member of God's Little Chapel. She also was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 33 years, John Anderson; one daughter, Laura Crawford and husband Scott, and one granddaughter, Heather Ruggles, all of Cumberland; one brother, Arthur Smith II and wife Mary Virginia, Martinsburg, W.Va.; and her stepmother, Ethel Smith, Fort Ashby, W.Va. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many beloved friends.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Madeline Cook officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers attending will be Michael Beeman, Matthew Smith, Donny Bennett, Virgil Loar Jr., Richard Kerns and Todd Pressman.
Special thanks and appreciation is extended to the caring ambulance and rescue workers, District 16, and the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital's ICU and Emergency Room units as well as Mrs. Anderson's physician, Dr. S.T. Chang.
May she rest in the sheltered loving arms of Jesus until we meet again.
EARL F. ANDERSON
LONACONING - Earl Frederick Anderson, 72, of 40 Florida Way, Lonaconing, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, where he had been a resident since June 3, 1996.
Born Nov. 14, 1924, in Lonaconing, he was a son of the late James H. and Atlantic "Lannie" (Click) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was Methodist by faith.
He was a 1942 graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing. After graduating high school, Earl worked for the N.Y.A. in Lonaconing before going into the U.S. Army.
Mr. Anderson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in the European Theater, 567th Anti-Aircraft Battalion, 3rd Army, under General George S. Patton.
Earl was awarded the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the American Theater Ribbon, European-African Middle Eastern Theater with four bronze stars, indicating participation in the North France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe Campaigns.
His other decorations included an Army of Occupation Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button World War II, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, Expert Badge with Submachine Gun Bar, and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a retired machinist of Celanese Fibers Co. with 42 years of service. He was a member of Mountain Lodge No. 99 A.F. & A.M., Frostburg; a member of the Ali Ghan Shrine Temple, Cumberland, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Cumberland.
He was a member of American Legion Farrady Post No. 24, Frostburg, a member of the Senior Citizens of Georges Creek, and a member of the AARP.
Surviving are his wife, Lila Maxine (Beeman) Anderson; two daughters, Sarah A. Daniels and husband Jim, New Creek, W.Va., and Rhonda A. Ternent and husband Mark, Wyo.; one grandson, James Daniels; one sister, Vernell Gowans and husband Marvin, Winchester, Va.; and two brothers, John ``Jack'' Anderson and wife Mary, Frostburg, and Harold F. Anderson and wife Erma, Frostburg.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Mountain Lodge No. 99 A.F. & A.M. will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Mortimore officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hills Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by American Legion Farrady Post No. 24, Frostburg.
PATRICIA M. ANDREASEN
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Patricia M. Andreasen, 87, of RD 4, Meyersdale, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at her home.
Born Aug. 15, 1910, in Dublin, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Florence (Wellington) O'Shaughnessey. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan A. Andreasen, on Dec. 16, 1991.
Surviving are three sons, Michael Andreasen and wife Virginia, North San Juan, Calif., Patrick Nolan Andreasen and wife Joyce, with whom she resided, and Marcus Andreasen, Reno, Nev.; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Andreasen was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Kennells Mills.
Friends will be received at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the church on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Henry L. Crissinger officiating.
Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery, RD 4, Meyersdale.

LONACONING - Edgar Shaw Andrews Sr., 91, of 4 Watercliffe St., Lonaconing, died Friday, April 11, 1997, at the home of his son, Edgar Shaw Andrews Jr., Lonaconing.
Born Oct. 10, 1905, at Moscow, he was a son of the late William Osborne Andrews and Katherine (Shaw) Andrews. His wife, Ruth Rennie Andrews, died Oct. 20, 1972.
Mr. Andrews was retired from the B&O Railroad.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing, and a member of the Senior Citizens of Georges Creek.
Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor L. Torpy, Triangle, Va., and Frances Beeman, Lonaconing; two sons, William O. Andrews, Chino Hills, Calif., and Edgar Shaw Andrews Jr., Lonaconing; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester ``Doc'' Andrews, Moscow; one half sister, Ruth Keller, Westernport; one half brother, William Myers, Washington, D.C.; and special friend Evelyn Llewellyn.

BEDFORD, Pa. - Susan Ann Andrews, 37, of Bedford, died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Feb. 10, 1960, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John Harold Albert Sr. and Josephine Cecelia (Cole) Albert.
Mrs. Andrews was a 1978 graduate of Frankfort High School. She had been employed as a pharmacy clerk at Wal-Mart, Bedford, and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, John "Jack" Andrews Jr.; three brothers, John H. Albert Jr., Potomac Park, Gerald S. Albert, Carpendale, W.Va., and Michael B. Albert, San Diego, Calif.; five sisters, Patricia K. Albert, Carpendale, W.Va., Cecelia M. Allman, Va., Melissa L. Albert, Colo., Sarah J. Martin, Cresaptown, Md., and Julie B. Albert, Colo.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Andrews Sr., Ridgeley, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, Md., on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Christian wake service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md., on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Vernon Busch, OFM, Cap., as celebrant.
Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

PASADENA - Verna Angellatta, 73, of Pasadena, formerly of Cumberland, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at her residence.
Born Nov. 6, 1923, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Leslie Carver and Pearl (Clayton) Carver Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. "Tiger" Angellatta; six brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Angellatta was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, former member of the Ladies Auxiliary No. 245 Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a Red Cross volunteer.
Surviving are two sons, Frank A. Angellatta and wife Patricia, Pasadena, and James C. Angellatta, Reston, Va.; four sisters, Gladys Runion, Manassas, Va., Dolly Bomer, Ohio, Louella Danis, Calif., and Jean Kessler, Columbia, S.C.; one brother, George Carver, Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
