Louise M. Sanner

Louise Mamie Sanner, 70, of Baltimore, formerly of Annapolis, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at St. Agnes Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1927, in Martinsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Cora Stone Clark. She was the wife of John E. Sanner, who died in 1973.
Surviving are sons Charles Sanner of Jessup, David Sanner of Glen Burnie, Denver Sanner of Gibson Island, the Rev. Sherman Davis of King George, Va.; nine brothers and sisters; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughter Wanda Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Sherman Davis, the Rev. Bill Wilson and the Rev. Virgil Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Brandon E. Tignor

Brandon Edward Tignor, 14, of Granite, died suddenly, Monday, April 27, 1998, near his home in Woodstock.
Born Sept. 12, 1983, in Woodlawn, he was the son of David R. Sr. and Mary Ann Pickett Tignor of Granite.
He was a ninth grade honor roll student at Randallstown Senior High School. He was a motor cross racer, a musician, an artist, and a mechanic.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are brothers David R. Tignor Jr. of Finksburg, Gregory A. Tignor of Glen Rock, Pa., Brian K. Tignor of Sykesville, and Steven B. Tignor of Granite; sister Connie M. Bettendorf of Charlotte, N.C.; grandmother Freda H. Tignor of Sykesville; great-grandmother Julia Yohn Pickett of Randallstown; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, with Mr. Richard Taylor of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Berrett officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery, Sykesville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert D. Adams Jr.

Robert David Adams Jr., 57, of Eldersburg, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Carroll County General Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Snell Adams. He was the husband of Marion J. Adams of Eldersburg.
He had been a general manager for Wendy's Restaurants for several years, most recently at the Eldersburg location. He was a member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church, Sykesville, where he had been a lay speaker and church cook.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Mark E. Adams of Jessup, David Adams of Lanham, and Steve Wise of Baltimore; daughters Sheila D. Prophet, Saundra L. Williams and Paultee E. Williams, all of Baltimore; brother Thomas Adams and Carl Adams, both of California; sister Carol Adams of California; 20 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son Anthony Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke United Methodist Church, River Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Brian Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
Arrangements are by Haight Funeral Home, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Virginia L. `Ginny' Carver

Virginia Lee "Ginny" Carver, 88, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Countryside Protective Care, Hampstead.
Born Sept. 14, 1910, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Harry Daniel and Lelah Johnson Heubeck.
Surviving are son John Roland Carver of North Carolina; daughter Margaret Mae Law of Prescott, Ariz.; adopted son John McKinney Carver of Manchester; sister Margaret Wheeler of Finksburg; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. Philip Tocknell of Greenmount United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Ralph E. Coarts

Ralph E. Coarts, 76, of Upperco, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Carroll County General Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 12, 1922, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William C. and Florence Baker Coarts. He was the husband of Charlotte A. Brillhart Coarts.
He retired from the position of vice president of Alexander and Alexander Insurance Brokers in 1977. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was involved in several invasions. An active Christian all of his life, he was the past president of the Glyndon Community Bible Class and owned and operated the Christian Book and Gift Mart in Reisterstown for nine years. He was a member of Reisterstown Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter Charlene Lee Hughes and son David E. Coarts, both of Upperco; sister Ida Hoggard of Newport News, Va.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Joe Traynham of Reisterstown Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Beatrice I. Hamilton

Beatrice Irene Hamilton, 91, formerly of Sykesville, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Beaver Medical Center, Brighton Township, Pa.
Born April 24, 1907, in Abbott, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Holly G. and Margie R. Hefner Cutright. She was the wife of Charles W. Hamilton, who died in 1987.
She had been a psychiatric aide for the state of Maryland, and was a member of the Monacoest Free Methodist Church, Manaca, Pa.
Surviving are son Lester Hamilton of Monaca, Pa.; daughters Mary Ellen Wandell of Westminster, Patricia Adams of Akron, Ohio, and Mildred M. Kidd of Los Angeles; sisters Gay Crites and Evelyn Simons, both of Buchanon, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by son Charles D. Hamilton and sister Ruby Shoulders.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Bernice E. Ohler

Bernice Elizabeth Ohler, 82, of Baltimore, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998.
Born March 22, 1916, in Middle River, she was the daughter of the late Orlando Wythe and Jenny L. Smith Pond. She was the wife of the late Joseph Baumgardner Ohler.
Prior to her retirement, she was a hostess at Haussner's restaurant, Baltimore.
Surviving are brother Clarence E. Pond of Finksburg; and sister Clemmia V. Doolin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, Baltimore, with the Rev. Gerry F. Rickel officiating. Interment will be in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joseph B. Ohler

Joseph Baumgardner Ohler, 81, of Baltimore, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998.
Born March 19, 1917, in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Russell and Edith Baumgardner Ohler. He was the husband of the late Bernice E. Ohler.
He was a retired electrician from Wilson Electric Co.
Surviving are brothers Paul, J. David, and Russell Ohler; and one cousin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, Baltimore, with the Rev. Gerry F. Rickel officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Baltimore.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edith M. Shipley

Edith Mae Shipley, 85, of Marriottsville, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at St. Agnes Nursing Center in Ellicott City.
Born Dec. 11, 1913, in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Nettie Mullinix Sullivan. She was the wife of Russell Milton Shipley.
She was a homemaker for most of her life, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Marriottsville.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Loretta Mae Shipley of Marriottsville and Ruth Annette Fisher of Sykesville; sister Blanche Slagle of Baltimore; brother Herbert Sullivan of Glenelg; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sister Rosalie Oland and brother Stanley Sullivan.
A funeral service was Nov. 25 at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. The Rev. Edward Voorhaar officiated. Interment was in Mt. View Cemetery, Howard County.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, Md. 99, Marriottsville, MD 21104.

John J. Spenner, Sr.

John Joseph Spenner, Sr., 63, of Hanover, Md., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at North Arundel Hospital, after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 19, 1935, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph and Catherine Elizabeth Engels Spenner. He was the husband of Leila Robinette Spenner.
He was employed in the field of aluminum fabrication, working for Liskey Aluminum from 1958 to 1987, and Bettinger West/Nello Wall Systems from 1987 to 1998, where he served as a shop leader. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, and had served as financial secretary of District 8, Local 7070, for more than 20 years. He was a past ambulance driver with the 104th Medical Battalion of the Maryland National Guard and a scout master for the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed spending time at his second residence in Shellsburg, Pa. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and leather crafts, and worked with computers.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughters-in-law John and Pam Spenner of Hampstead, Steven and Lynn Spenner of Baltimore; daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Howard Neugebauer of Pasadena, Sharon and Michael Waters of Edgewood, and Barbara and Henry Jones of Baltimore; sister Dorothy Kowalski of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at George J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Riviera Beach, with the Rev. Charles Klein officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Baltimore.
