Daphne B. King, 85, Morgantown, W.Va., died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown.
Born July 27, 1914, in Gleason, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Clemmie May (Martin) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John King, in 1974; four brothers; one sister; and one son, William Rich.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Morgantown. She was retired from West Virginia University Hospitals as assistant supervisor in the housekeeping department. She had also been employed with O.J. Morrison’s Company and Irene’s in Morgantown as a seamstress. She was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Bethlehem Shrine #2 Order of the Eastern Star #35 of Morgantown, and was a member of the Opportunity Club of Morgantown.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Kelley, New Milton, W.Va., Joyce Haun, Lexington, Ky., and Sandra Matthews, Houston, Texas; three sons, Walter E. Rich, Tampa, Fla., George David Rich, Oklahoma, and Theodore Evans, Meyersdale, Pa.; four sisters, Edith Evans and Dorothy Knotts, both of Kitzmiller, Audrey Fisher, Rio Vista, Calif., and Mary Deusenberry, California; one brother, Arthur Miller, Deer Park; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Hastings Funeral Home, Morgantown. A service was conducted Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the First Christian Church of Morgantown, with the Rev. Susan C. McGhee officiating. Interment was in the East Oak Grove Cemetery.

MABEL L. MORAN
Mabel L. Moran, 86, Frostburg, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Dec. 21, 1912, in Horse Shoe Run, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late James and Edna (Blamble) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, George Knotts in 1990, and Vergis Moran in 1970.
She attended the First Church of the Nazarene, Cumberland.
Survivors include one daughter, Janie Cuthbertson, Frostburg; three sons, Kenneth Knotts, North Lawrence, Ohio, Harold Knotts Sr., Cumberland, and Allen Knotts, Frostburg; two sisters, Freda Eye, Parsons, W.Va., and Alma Brake, Petersburg, W.Va.; five brothers, Roy Lewis and Rufus Lewis, both of Horse Shoe Run, Roland Lewis, Lancaster, Pa., and Albert Lewis and Elbert Lewis, both of Aurora, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was conducted earlier today, Dec. 16, with the Rev. Gary Barkley officiating. Interment was in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.

JACK A. PERANDO
Jack Adam Perando, 62, Old Fields, W.Va., died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg, W.Va.
Born Nov. 22, 1937, in Shallmar, he was a son of the late Scott and Maude (Rohm) Perando. He was also preceded in death by four brothers.
He was an auto mechanic and security guard. He was a member of the Marvin United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Streets) Perando; four daughters, Jacalyn A. Riggleman, Moorefield, W.Va., Barbara Lipscomb, Old Fields, Cheryl Perando, Hartmansville, W.Va., and Tinaese, Augusta, W.Va.; one son, Paul M. Streets, Bloomington; three sisters, Betty Perando, Cumberland, Neva Lyons, Elk Garden, and Gaye Flanagan, Elk Garden; two brothers, Jess Perando, Branton, Fla., and Ray Perando, El Reno, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends were received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, where a service was conducted Sunday, Dec. 12, with the Rev. Brian Moreland officiating. Interment was in the family Cemetery, Old Fields.
JOSEPH CANGIALOSI
Joseph Cangialosi, 85, Grantsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born April 29, 1914, in McKeesport, Pa., he was the son of the late Salvator and Nita (Garofalo) Cangialosi.
He was a retired broadcast engineer for the U.S. Information Agency and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 33rd Infantry in Italy.
Survivors include his wife, Frances (Yoder) Cangialosi, and a daughter, Louise Cangialosi, Glendale, N.Y.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service was conducted Monday, Dec. 13, at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap. Interment followed.
RAYMOND E. JONES
Raymond E. 'Jock' Jones, 55, Oakland, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at his home.
Born July 18, 1944, in Garrett County, he was the son of Edna R. 'Piddle' Jones, Oakland, and the late Virgil R. Jones.
He was a farmer and timberman.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Donna (Bosley) Jones; one son, Johnny R. Jones, Oakland; two daughters, Johnna S. Jones and Carol 'Flip' Cussins, both of Oakland; one sister, Helen Gnegy, Oakland; and four grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was conducted Wednesday, Dec. 15, with James Reed and the Rev. Charles Teets officiating. Interment was in the Jones Family Cemetery.

EFFIE E. TASKER
Effie E. Tasker, 87, Westernport, and more currently a resident of the Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 1, 1912, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Marvel and Martha (Smith) Duckworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen 'Buck' Tasker, in 1985, and one granddaughter.
She was Protestant by faith and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Franklin A. Tasker, Atlanta, Ga.; four daughters, Vera Duckworth, Swanton, Faye E. Gray, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Doris Yoder, Crofton, and Lorena E. Byrd, Dallas, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

GERTRUDE M. COSNER
Gertrude May (Mackley) Cosner, 87, Mt. Storm, W.Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg, W.Va.
Born Dec. 18, 1911, in Mt. Storm, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Blanche (Idleman) Mackley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W. Frank Cosner, on Feb. 6, 1978; one son; one daughter; and one grandchild.
She was owner and operator of Cosner General Store from 1946 to 1976. She was a member of Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Opal Moreland and Sandra Cosner, both of Mt. Storm; one sister, Helen Lambka, Mt. Storm; three brothers, David Hanlin, Mobile, Ala., Gerald Hanlin, Mt. Storm, and Edward Hanlin, Oakland; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg. A service was conducted earlier today, Dec. 16, at the Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment was in the Idleman Cemetery, Mt. Storm.
JESSIE B. SAVAGE
Jessie Blanche Savage, 74, Friendsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 24, 1925, in Bergman, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Emory Ellsworth and Adelia (Sines) Chidester.
She was a homemaker, a member of Keeler Glade Church of God, the church’s ladies group, and Woodmen of the World Camp 45.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest F. Savage Sr.; three sons, Ernest F. Savage Jr., Hunt Valley, Earl Leslie Savage, Buies Creek, N.C., and Ross Emery Savage, Friendsville; two daughters, Elizabeth Smith, Charleston, W.Va., and Freda Grace Sines, Friendsville; one sister, Alberta Savage, Morgantown, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville. A service was conducted earlier today, Dec. 16, at the Keeler Glade Church of God, with the Rev. Mark Lawson and Robbie Fraley Jr. officiating. Interment was in Blooming Rose Cemetery.

LYDIA M. HARSH
Lydia Marguerite Harsh, 98, Aurora, W.Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 1., 1999, at the home of her daughter, Cleota Hosington, in Akron, Ohio.
Born Jan. 12, 1901, in Terra Alta, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Martin Milroy and Ida Jane (Sisler) Shahan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton E. Harsh, in 1985; two brothers; and three sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a homemaker, and had been the oldest living member of the Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church and was an honorary member of the Stemple Ridge Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Harsh, Amboy, W.Va., and Oran Harsh, Brunswick, Ohio; four daughters, Mary Jane Hanline, Aurora, Shirley Eleanor Doolittle, Randolph, Ohio, Cleota Hosington, Akron, and Helen Lipscomb, Aurora; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Aurora United Methodist Memorial Building. A service was conducted at the Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 4, with the Rev. Joe Robinette officiating. Interment was in the Stemple Ridge Cemetery.

CHARLES R. PORTER
Charles Robert Porter, 69, Somerset, Ky., formerly of Oakland, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in London, Ky.
Born June 30, 1930, in Oakland, he was a son of the late Earnest and Opal Ann (Hendrickson) Porter. He was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Porter; a stepson, Ed Asher; two brothers, Prentice Porter and Bill Porter; and one sister, Helen Ray.
He was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company and a member of the Cumberland Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma (Hubbs) Porter, whom he married Oct. 5, 1973; two sons, Larry Porter and Robert Napier, both of Michigan; one daughter, Sandra Martin, White Lake, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Mary Howell, Michigan; two brothers, Ray Porter, Oakland, and Don Porter, Perryopolis, Pa.; two sisters, Ann Mersing, Dumphries, Va., and Elva Filippone, Columbia; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, where a service was conducted Sunday, Nov. 21, with Bros. William Wallace and Bill Cannon officiating. Interment was in the Terrell Cemetery, Corby, Ky.
WILSON W. WHITE
Wilson W. White, 89, Sebring, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at the Integrated Health Services Nursing Home, Sebring.
Born Aug. 15, 1910, in Weston, W.Va., he was the son of the late William and Theodosia B. (Stump) White. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosanna C. (Callis) White.
He was a retired machinist.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Mae Kinkade, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; one sister, Wilma Ours, Mtn. Lake Park; and one granddaughter.
The Highlands Crematory, Avon Park, Fla., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
