Teresa A. Green
RHODESDALE - Teresa Annette Green, 30, passed away Thursday morning, March 15, 2001 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.
Ms. Green was born April 23, 1970 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge and attended the public schools in Dorchester. She was a graduate of North Dorchester High School with the Class of 1989.
For a number of years Ms. Green was an employee of Allen's Food in Hurlock. Her most recent employer was Coldwater Seafood in Cambridge.
Tree, as her family and friends called her, was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church and was baptized in July of 1998.
She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Green of Cambridge; her father, Jacob Green Jr. of Hurlock; a daughter, Kiante' Wongus of Rhodesdale; grandfather, Jacob Green Sr. of Hurlock; two sisters, Serbrina Green and Feltia Friend, both of Federalsburg; one niece; five nephews; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and a special friend, Derrick Wongus.
Ms. Green was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Josephine Aldridge and Verdelle Green and a grandfather, Melvin Aldridge Sr.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church in Hurlock with Bishop Chester Friend officiating. Burial will follow in the Petersburg Cemetery in Hurlock.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Hurlock.
Hajo F. Tjaden
HURLOCK - Hajo Frederick Tjaden, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at his home.
He was born June 9, 1913 in East New Market, son of the late John J. and Hilda M. Knaack Tjaden.
Mr. Tjaden was a farmer all of his life.
He attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston and was a member of the Federalsburg Rod and Gun Club and a former member of the Dorchester County Farm Bureau.
Mr. Tjaden is survived by his wife, Clara Plutschak Tjaden of Hurlock; five sisters, Tillie Frase of Preston, Minnie Frase of Preston, Agnes Rohrke of Vacaville, Calif., Helen Jackson of East New Market and Hilda Matilda Thomas of Vienna; one brother, Jacob W. Tjaden of Tiffin, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Tjaden and John Tjaden.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Pastor Neil Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Junior Order Cemetery in Preston.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 tonight at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Amil Frase, Carl Frase, Everett Thomas, John Thomas, Charles Jackson and Glenn Plutschak.

Wilson Addendum
EASTON - Tyrone Cornel Wilson Sr., 41, died suddenly Wednesday, March 14, 2001.
He was born Nov. 2, 1959 in Easton, the son of Laura Annie Wilson of Trappe and the late Clarence Edward Wilson Sr.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Easton with Bishop James Pinkney officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery.
The Henry Funeral Home of Cambridge is handling the arrangements.
Cecelia Stanley
HURLOCK - Cecelia Stanley, 94, died Friday, March 16, 2001 at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge.
She was born July 4, 1906 at Petersburg, the daughter of the late Fred and Henrietta Ross Thompson. She was married to the late Charles Monroe Stanley.
Mrs. Stanley was a previous domestic worker, nurses aid and most recently worked at the former Acme Cannery. She had been a member of Mt. Zion UM Church and Church of God of Prophecy in Hurlock where she served on the usher board and most recently attended the Tabernacle of Prayer in East New Market.
She was a former member of the Morning Stars gospel group and attended Pleasant Day Adult Care in Cambridge.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by six children: Hattie Thompson of Seaford, Del., Frederick "Freddie" Stanley (Doris Cottom) of Hurlock, Algie (Algina) Stanley of Hurlock, Alfred Bernard Stanley (Cora) of Williamsburg, Gennett Nichols (Emerson) of Hurlock and James "Boy" Stanley (Cassandra) of Linkwood; a daughter-in-law, Glendora Stanley of Seaford; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-great-grandchildren; three of the grandchildren she raised as her own, Thomas Thompson and Charlie Wongus, both of Seaford and Doretha Wongus of Hurlock; a sister-in-law, Esther Thompson of Hurlock and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by three children, Evelyn Stanley, Ada Fountain and Monroe Stanley; nine siblings: John A. Thompson, Namon Thompson, Charlie Thompson, Walter Thompson, Linwood Thompson, Mildred Wilson, Catherine Thompson, Maggie Thompson and Onelia Thompson and her companion of over 18 years, Carroll N. Johnson.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion UM Church in East New Market. Burial will follow at the East New Market Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 7-9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service.

Robert O. Whitten
CAMBRIDGE - Robert O. Whitten, 67, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del. He had been in failing health for several months and had been a patient at the hospital since Jan. 28.
He was born Jan. 28, 1934 in Cambridge, the son of the late Oliver Hubbard and Pauline Henry Whitten.
Mr. Whitten had attended schools in Cambridge. He had served in the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 26, 1951 until Dec. 5, 1955. He had served in Greenland and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant at the time of his discharge.
On March 22, 1975 he was married to the former Marba Robbins.
After he was discharged from the service, Mr. Whitten had worked as an automobile salesman at Meredith Auto Sales in Cambridge. He later worked as an insurance salesman for United Insurance and later for People's Security Life Insurance Co. He had retired several years ago.
He was a member of Dorchester Post 91 American Legion and also Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW.
Mr. Whitten had played music for a number of years. He had played with Ronnie Dove and later with the Country Casuals which later became Zodiac with Doc McWilliams. He had been a keyboardist and also lead vocalist.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ruthanna W. Lucas of Cambridge; three sons, Robert D. Whitten of Cambridge, Ralph D. Whitten of Bel Air and Mark O. Whitten of Cambridge. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Joseph D'Adamo, Neil D'Adamo, Melissa Whitten, Kyle Whitten and David Whitten; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Paula L. Robinson of Toddville; two brothers, Donald R. Whitten and Theodore W. Whitten, both of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Whitelock.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. D. J. Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday during the hour preceding the service.

Mary L. Wilson
CAMBRIDGE - Mary Louise Wilson, 72, passed away Monday, March 19, 2001 at Mallard Bay Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for a long period of time.
Mrs. Wilson was born Aug. 18, 1929 in Trappe, the daughter of Oscar and Lula Leatherberry, but she was raised by Mamie and Joe Ross. She attended school in Talbot County.
She is survived by life long companion, Lee T. "Buster" Copper of Cambridge; two daughters, Geraldine "Penny" Wilson of Landover and Blanch E. "Tiny" Butler of Easton; one son, Norman Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Eleanor Leatherberry; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a husband of five years, Thomas Wilson; one sister, Francis; three brothers, Truman, Russell and Norman; three children, Thomas Jr., Louisianna and Mamie.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Cambridge where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Trappe.
George J. Lindner
CAMBRIDGE - George J. Lindner, 96, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 at The Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was the husband of the late Rosalie Johnson Lindner.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cambridge Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Barry L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home.

Robert Bell
CAMBRIDGE - Robert Bell, 82, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 at his home. He was the husband of the late Jeanette Bloodsworth Bell.

Thomas H. Hall
EAST NEW MARKET - Thomas Hudson Hall, 76, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 at the Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge.
He was born Sept. 21, 1924 in Kilmarnock, Va.
Mr. Hall was a waterman.
He was member of VFW Post 7460 in Cambridge.
Mr. Hall is survived by one son, Thomas Hall of East New Market; one stepson, Robert Owens of Arlington, Va., and one brother, Oty Hall of Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Beatrice Hall in January 1999.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. March 26 at The Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery in Beulah.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
William D. Ratcliffe
HURLOCK - William Don Ratcliffe, 61, passed away early Thursday morning, March 13, 2003 at the home of his daughter, after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 21, 1941 in Easton, the son of the late Richard Lee and Hilda Phillips Ratcliffe.
Mr. Ratcliffe was a 1959 graduate of North Dorchester High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served on active duty for three years.
For 33 years, Mr. Ratcliffe was employed by Western Publishing and retired in 1996 as F.A.D. supervisor. He enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Ratcliffe is survived by his wife, the former Carol Bryan, whom he married on July 5, 1964; one daughter, Donna Lane and her husband, Bill of East New Market; one son, John A. Ratcliffe and his wife, Marian of Bowie; three grandchildren, Richard Lane, Danielle Lane and Madison Ratcliffe; one brother, Tony Ratcliffe of Linkwood; three sisters, Marie Vogel and Joyce Meritt of Hurlock and Barbara Stewart of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ratcliffe.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge by William Thomas. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday during the hour before the service. Burial will follow in East New Market Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Philip Vogel, Richard Meritt, Karl Vogel, Karl Vogel Jr., Richard Lane and Calvert Stewart.

CAMBRIDGE - A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday for Patricia N. Tolan, 79, of Cambridge who died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately.

Edna B. Wolfe
FISHING CREEK - Edna Bradshaw Wolfe, 91, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge.
Mrs. Wolfe was born Dec. 16, 1911 in Golden Hill. She was married to Leroy J. Martin. Years after his death, she married George G. Wolfe who is also deceased.
Mrs. Wolfe was a former member of the Cambridge Yacht Club, Dorset Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, now known as the General Perry Benson Chapter. She was also a past Maryland State Officer for the DAR.
Mrs. Wolfe's hobbies were knitting, painting and collecting antiques. She enjoyed being with family and friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Roseanne Oltmanns and her husband, Fred; a granddaughter, Lynn Price and her husband, Brian; three grandchildren, Matthew, Megan and Mallory Price, all of Baltimore; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her husbands was a sister, Lucille Noon and a brother, Guy Bradshaw Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Golden Hill. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in Mrs. Wolfe's memory to St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Golden Hill Foundation, P.O. Box 187, Fishing Creek, MD 21634.
