Harvey V. Willin
FEDERALSBURG - Harvey Vincent "Bunk" Willin, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton.
Born March 14, 1928, in Federalsburg, he was the son of the late Harvey H. and Carrie Higgins Willin. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He had worked for Maryland Plastics as a button cutter and had been a farmer in poultry, pigs and grain.
He was a member of the Easton Moose Lodge, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, the Retreads and the Caroline County Farm Bureau. He loved bluegrass and country music.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Lee Willin Nalley of Federalsburg; one son, Curtis Elbert Willin of Federalsburg; one stepson, Roy Brooks Lare of Federalsburg; one stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Patrick of Federalsburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; on brother, Thomas Willin of Federalsburg; and one sister, Rosalee Taylor of Vienna.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Mae Pritchett Willin, on May 19, 2001; and one son, Randy Dale Willin, on July 8, 1978.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rita P. Tevlin
EAST NEW MARKET - Rita Patricia Tevlin, 63, died Friday night, Dec. 20, 2002, at Dorchester General Hospital.
She is survived by two children, Michele Denise Tierney of Waterford, Mich., and Brian Tevlin of Grand Blanc, Mich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church in Cambridge. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A.
Edith B.P. Hummer
LAKE PINES - Edith B. Pyne Hummer, 95, died at her home Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002.
Born June 27, 1907, in Clarke County, Va., she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Pyne. She moved to Hebron in 1940 and lived there until 1990, when she moved to Lake Pines.
She was a seamstress. She attended Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Hebron and was a member of the Ladies' Quilting Guild for several years.
She is survived by four children, Anne H. Ball and husband David of Salisbury; Ruth H. Swindell of Newport News, Va.; Joyce H. Hastings and husband David of Wilmington, Del.; and William R. Hummer Jr. and his companion Thelma Flewelling; six grandchildren, Joseph Ball and wife Donna of Andrews Air Force Base, Lisa B. Coleman and husband Bill of East New Market, Allison S. Wilson and husband Dudley of Chesapeake, Va., Gregory Swindell and wife Carol of Oceanside, Calif., Valerie Candeloro and husband Mike of Hockessin, Del., and Carolyn H. Hermes and husband Jon of Newark, Del.; six great-grandchildren, Dane Ball, Ryan and Spencer Wilson, Brittany and Brooke Coleman and Chase Candeloro; one sister, Velma Marlow and husband Gerald of Berryville, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. The Rev. Franklin Perry will officiate. Burial will take place at Spring Hill Memory Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home noon to 1 p.m. Friday.
Debrene M. Cusick
FEDERALSBURG - Debrene M. Cusick, 42, was stricken at her home early Sunday morning and passed away at the emergency room of the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was the wife of Charles F. Cusick Jr.
She was born Dec. 28, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Kenneth Philip and Connie Hinchman Richardson. She was raised in Cambridge and was a 1976 graduate of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.
For most of her life she had worked as a cook and for the past three years had been employed at the Chesapeake Center in Easton as a cooking instructor. Previously she had been employed at Airpax and the Cambridge Country Club. For the past five years she had resided in Federalsburg.
Mrs. Cusick is survived by her husband, to whom she was married on July 24, 1992; one son, Dennis Scott Aaron of Federalsburg; one grandson, Dennis Scott Aaron Jr.; her mother, Connie Richardson of Tampa, Fla.; her father and stepmother, Kenneth P. and Brenda Richardson of Cambridge; one brother, Robert S. Richardson of Tampa; one stepbrother, James L. Anderson of Cambridge; three aunts, Peggy Stanfield, Frances Murphy and Kay Harding; one uncle, Marvin Richardson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Allen Richardson.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home by Apostle Solomon Bramble III. Burial will follow in the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Eastern Shore at Beulah. Friends will be received at the funeral home during the hour before the service.

Rita P. Tevlin
EAST NEW MARKET - Rita Patricia Tevlin, 64, died Friday night, Dec. 20, 2002 at Dorchester General Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1938 in Bradshaw, Baltimore County, the daughter of the late John Jaworski and Angeline Chretch Jaworski.
Mrs. Tevlin lived in Cambridge for 30 years and had moved to East New Market seven years ago. When she resided in Cambridge, she was a communicant of St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church. Since living in East New Market, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary.
Mrs. Tevlin was employed up to the time of her death by Airpax for 27 years as a supervisor. She had also worked part-time for Pep-Up, Hayward Street, Cambridge for eight years.
Mrs. Tevlin's hobbies were crabbing, arts, crafts and crocheting.
Surviving are two children, Michele Denise Tierney and her husband, Pat of Waterford, Mich. and Brian Tevlin and his wife, Tina of Grand Blanc, Mich.; two grandchildren, Jessica and Nicole Tierney; a special friend, John Thompson of Cambridge; four sisters, Bernice and her husband, Ernest Kuehne of Bradshaw, Teresa Price of Baltimore, Til Williams of Randallstown, Jeannette Powers of Joppa; two brothers, Ferdinan (Fritz) Jaworski of Bradshaw, Dave Jaworski of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were a sister, Helen Warren and two brothers, Walter Jaworski and John Jaworski Jr.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, Glasgow Street. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery.

Doris H. Patrick
Baltimore - Doris H. Patrick, 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at the Mercy Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 2, 1919 in Cordova, the daughter of the late Raymond Clyde Hopkins and Edna Gertrude Hopkins (nee Lednum).
Mrs. Patrick had been an assembly line worker at Airpax Electronics in Cambridge. She had lived in Trappe from 1944 to 1991, at which time she moved to Baltimore.
Her hobbies were raising her children, cooking, sewing and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Marita Parle and Melody Patrick, both of Baltimore; a son, Mark Patrick of Trappe; a sister, Jeanette Davis of Easton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one stepgrandson.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Patrick.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Jan. 18, 2003 at Cambridge Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be private.

Anna Ruth Robbins
CAMBRIDGE - Anna Ruth Robbins, 78, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002 at the Mallard Bay Care Center, where she had been a resident since April 4, 1997.
She was born Feb. 8, 1924 in Cambridge, the daughter of the late William Wesley and Louise Elsie Gore Mitchell.
She attended schools in Cambridge having graduated from Cambridge High School in 1942. She was married to Allen W. Robbins on Dec. 24, 1942. He passed away on July 12, 1988.
For a number of years Mrs. Robbins had worked at the Rob Roy Co. in Cambridge and for Western Publishing Co. from March 25, 1974 until she retired on March 1, 1989.
Mrs. Robbins is survived by several cousins, and a dear friend, June Tolley Owens of Cambridge and a godchild, Cathy Ann Tolley-Currin of Ireland.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. today at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
The family received friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

E. Randall Willey
HURLOCK - E. Randall "Randy" Willey, 68, of Suicide Bridge Road, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at his home. He had been in failing health for the past five years.
He was born in Cambridge and was the son of the late Selvin R. and Ethel Alverta Wroten Willey.
Mr. Willey attended schools in Cambridge. On Aug. 29, 1952 he married the former Dorothy Humphreys.
Some years ago he worked for Clarence Willey and later worked for Kerr McGee, Sears in Cambridge as well as Allen L. Tyler & son. He later had been self-employed as a waterman and was a mechanic as well as a handyman.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy H. "Dot" Willey of Hurlock; one son and his wife, Randy L. Willey and Frances Willey of Vienna; two brothers and their wives, Paul Willey and Phyllis Willey of Atlanta, Ga. and Sherman Willey and Carolyn Willey of Secretary; two sisters and their husbands, Mary Duhamel and James Duhamel of Dunellen, N.J. and Minnie Insley and Dal Insley of Lakesville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Raymond Willey and Donald F. Willey.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dorchester Memorial Park with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:30 to 9 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge.
Harry P. Jester Sr.
CHESTERTOWN - Harry P. Jester Sr. of Millington died suddenly on Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 in Kent & Queen Anne's hospital, Chestertown, of heart failure. He was 72.
Mr. Jester was born in Easton, the son of the late Kenneth P. and Edna May Cecil Jester. Mr. Jester worked as a mechanic for most of his life, most recently working for David A. Bramble Inc. of Chestertown, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Jester enjoyed many things in his life, such as his livestock and animals, attending sales and auctions, and collecting everything he might find useful around the shop.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and eating on every occasion that came his way. In his quiet time, Mr. Jester enjoyed reading.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jester was preceded in death by his wife Norma Lee Jester in December of last year, and a great-grandson, Dylan M. McLaughlin, in November of this year.
He is survived by his stepmother, Frances Jester of Seaford, Del.; three sons, Martin P. Jester of Cambridge, Harry "Bucky" Jester Jr. of Millington, and John H. Jester of Denton; half-brother, Kenneth Paul Jester Jr. of Newport Ritchie, Fla.; three half-sisters, Betty J. Dolby and Kay Jester, both of Seaford, Del. and Lynn Smith of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St. in Millington, where friends and family may call today from 7-9pm. Burial will be in the Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton.
Eleanor J. Cook
CAMBRIDGE - Eleanor Jane Cook, 82, of Cambridge, passed away at the Mallard Bay Care Center on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002. She was the wife of the late Morgan Lee Cook.

George W. Enders IV
CAMBRIDGE - George William Enders IV, 59, of Cambridge, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at Dorchester General Hospital.
Surviving is his wife Dottie Enders of Cambridge; three children, Donna Enders of Ruxton, George Enders V and John Enders, both of Cambridge; three brothers, Kirk Enders of Baltimore, John Enders of Monrovia and Tom Thieman of Baltimore; devoted "mom" Violet Thieman of Baltimore; two aunts, Mary Thoebe Willis of Fredericksburg, Va.; Roberta Thaler of Carmel, Calif.; and cousins.

Barbara L. Windsor
CAMBRIDGE - Barbara Lee Windsor, 64, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at the Dorchester General Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She was born Aug. 23, 1938 at Bishops Head, the daughter of the late Grayson and Frances Bradford Pritchett.
She had attended schools in Cambridge. On Nov. 26, 1958 she was married to Bernard J. "Pete" Windsor. She had enjoyed painting and decorating her yard as well as crocheting.
Mrs. Windsor's survivors include her husband of Cambridge; two sons, Ronnie Joe Windsor and his wife, Melissa M. Windsor of Salisbury, Billy Joe Windsor of Secretary; three grandchildren, Jessica Windsor, Billy Joe Windsor Jr. and Colin E. Windsor. She is also survived by two sisters, Ella Mae Walters and Judy Morris, both of Millsboro, Del., one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold L. Pritchett.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. Samuel H. McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Eleanor J. Cook
CAMBRIDGE - Eleanor Jane Cook, 82, wife of the late Morgan Lee Cook, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at the Mallard Bay Care Center.
Mrs. Cook was born April 28, 1920, the daughter of the late George S. and Eva Nicholls Larrimore of Wellsburg, W. Va. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1938.
Mr. and Mrs. Cook were married on April 23, 1949 and spent their life together in different Maryland cities, where Mrs. Cook worked part-time. Upon Mr. Cook's retirement, they moved to the Eastern Shore and were living in Salisbury. Later, when they both were in failing health, they entered the Genesis Elder Care for several months before moving to the Annapolitian Care Center in Annapolis. In October 1999 they moved to the Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge, where they both passed away: Mr. Cook on Nov. 26, 2001 and Mrs. Cook, Dec. 28, 2002.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, travel, music and crafts.
The Cooks had one child, Kevin M. Cook, who passed away in 1985.
Survivors include two cousins by marriage, John L. and Zadith Cook of Annapolis and Harvey and Shirley Cook of Wallingford, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Spedden-Seward Cemetery near Hudson with the Rev. Donald Schell officiating.

June D. Horsman
VIENNA - June D. Horsman, 84, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 29, 2002 at the Deaton Specialty Hospital in Baltimore. She was the wife of Carl C. Horsman.
She was born Oct. 11, 1918 in Salisbury, the daughter of the late Ernest Lyston and H. Virginia Wright Dashiell. She was raised in Salisbury and Cambridge and was a graduate of Crisfield High School.
In August of 1940 she was married to Levin James Newcomb Jr., who was killed in action at St. Lo in June of 1944. For most of her life she made her home in Cambridge and for 20 years was employed at the Assessment office in the county office building, retiring in 1979. In December of 1976 she was married to Mr. Horseman and had resided in Vienna since that time.
Mrs. Horsman was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge, but attended St. Paul's P.E. Church in Vienna. She was also a member of the DAR, the American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Cambridge Yacht Club and Cambridge Country Club.
She is survived by her husband; one son, L. James Newcomb III and his wife, Jane, of Easton; two grandchilden, Richard D. Newcomb Jr. of Atlanta and Terri Newcomb of Boulder, Colo.; four stepchildren, Della Richardson of Mt. Airey, Thomas Horsman of Linkwood, Robert Horsman of Vienna, Harold Horsman of Hurlock; 13 stepgrandchildren and a former daughter-in-law, Judy Leslie of Lynchburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. Newcomb; a sister, Lyle Dashiell and a brother, E. L. "Dick" Dashiell.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Churchyard. There will be no calling hours.

George W. Enders IV
CAMBRIDGE - George William Enders IV (Col. USMC), 59, died Sunday morning, Dec. 29, 2002 at Dorchester General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1943 in Giles County, Va., the son of the late Martin Luther Enders Jr. and Alma Louise Kirk Enders.
Mr. Enders was educated in the Baltimore area. He was a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Battalion Commander of the 4th Combat Engineer Battalion of Baltimore, a Vietnam War veteran, Gulf War veteran and Commandant of the Marine Corps League of Choptank Detachment 439.
On Nov. 4, 1977 he married the former Dottie Woernle.
Col. Enders was a former Baltimore City Police Officer and a retired agent for the Maryland Division of Parole and Probation.
Col. Enders was PER Cambridge Elks Lodge 1272 from 2000-2002, a board member of the Dorchester County Humane Society and a member of the Maryland Hydronauts Scuba Diving Club, Baltimore.
His hobbies included scuba diving and sport crabbing on Hurst Creek.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dottie Enders of Cambridge; three children, Donna Enders of Ruxton, George Enders V of Ocean City, John Enders of Cambridge; three brothers, Kirk Enders of Baltimore, John Enders of Monrovia, Tom Thieman of Baltimore, devoted "mom" Violet Thieman of Baltimore; two aunts, Mary Phoebe Willis of Fredericksburg, Va., Roberta Thaler of Carmel, Calif. and cousins.
The family will receive friends at a casual celebration of Mr. Enders' life at the Cambridge Elks Lodge 1272 at 4 p.m. Saturday.
