DOROTHY E. COLLINS
OAKLAND - Dorothy E. Collins, 79, of W. Liberty Street, Oakland, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born on May 29, 1921, in Amboy, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John E. and Florence E. (Stahl) Nair. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Collins Sr. in 1986, after 50 years of marriage; and by one son, John D. Collins. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy L. Gnegy, Oakland; one son, Frederick Collins Jr., Oakland; two sisters, Beatrice Keefer, Oakland, and Jane Rodeheaver, Baltimore; two brothers, Lloyd Nair, Buffalo, N.Y., and Carl Nair, Oakland; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.

NORMA C. KITZMILLER
MOUNT STORM, W.Va. - Norma C. Kitzmiller, 74, of Mount Storm, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. Born on Jan. 10, 1927, in Emoryville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Velma (Iman) Hanlin. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Kitzmiller; a brother, Russell Hanlin; and a sister, Marcella Lancaster.
Mrs. Kitzmiller was a former employee of Bausch and Lomb and at the time of her retirement was a cook at the VFW Restaurant, Mount Storm. She was a member of the Mount Storm United Methodist Church and the Ladies' Auxiliary of VFW Post #6735.
She is survived by a son, Walter K. Kitzmiller and wife Nancy, Mount Storm; two brothers, Robert Hanlin, Cambridge, Md., and Donald Hanlin, Mount Storm; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Mount Storm United Methodist Church on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Anderson officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Mount Storm Cemetery.
VERDA BEACHY
SALISBURY, Pa. - Verda (Bender) Beachy, 89, formerly of 168 Niverton Road, Salisbury, died at the home of her daughter in Accident, Md.
Born on June 20, 1911, in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Christian W. and Ida (Hershberger) Bender. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, Vivian Rodney and Audrey Maust; one step-granddaughter, Cynthia Yoder; four brothers, Floyd, Lewis, Omar and Harvey Bender; and one sister, Lena Yoder.
Mrs. Beachy was a member of the Maple Glen Mennonite Church and the Women's Sewing Circle. She volunteered for many years at Goodwill Mennonite Home and World's Attic.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Simon D. Beachy; four daughters, Hilda wife of Ivan Maust, Grantsville, Md., Ada wife of Evan Maust, Salisbury, Esther wife of Edward Yoder, Grantsville, Lucy wife of Alva Maust, Accident; three sisters, Myra Maust, Della Miller and Fannie (Mrs. Paul) Zook, all of Grantsville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 10 a.m. at Maple Glen Mennonite Church with the Rev. Philip Moser and the Rev. Sanford Bender officiating.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.

THE REV. REX R. COFFMAN
CORINTH, W.Va. - The Rev. Rex R. Coffman, 86, of Route 1, Corinth, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born at Bloomington, Md., on Sept. 20, 1914, he was the son of the late Raymond and Irene (Cupp) Coffman.
The Rev. Coffman was an Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a retiring minister with the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was also a former policeman.
Surviving are his wife, Helen (LaRue) Coffman; a daughter, Joyce Lyons and husband Charles of Westernport, Md.; a son, Paul David Coffman of Short Gap; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Piedmont, where the Rev. Coffman was pastor for 11 years, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating, and the Rev. Charles R. Lyons, a grandson, rendering some personal comments.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
ELIZABETH M. YUTZY
HAGERSTOWN ‹ Elizabeth M. Yutzy, 89, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born on Nov. 15, 1911, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Catherine E. Gray Mullooly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Yutzy in 1966; and two brothers, John Mullooly and Francis Mullooly.
Before retiring, she was a receptionist for Dr. Roger Fiery. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She served as a volunteer at the Potomac Center in Hagerstown, and was a member of the A.A.R.P.
Surviving are a cousin, Jean A. Dorsey, Ridgeley, W.Va.; a niece, Barbara Ann Martucci, Merritt Island, Fla.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Fr. George Limmer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at the Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday.
CALVIN L. RINKER
ACCIDENT ‹ Calvin Leo Rinker, 79, of 36404 Garrett Highway, Accident, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 4, 1921, in Gleason, W.Va., he was a son of the late Dallas Cecil Rinker and Edna Melva (Hanlin) Rinker. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Pleasant Virginia (Clark) Rinker; an infant son and daughter; and one brother, Cecil Blaine Rinker.
Mr. Rinker was a graduate of Bruce High School, Class of 1939. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Accident, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, member of Accident Post 208 American Legion and the AARP.
He retired from the Garrett County Roads Department, after 25 years as a supervisor and was a member and past president of AFSCME.
He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Hawbaker, Hagerstown, Melva Savage, Oakland, and Diane Smith, RAF, Lakinheath, England; four sons, Charles Rinker and Steven Rinker, both of Anchorage, Alaska, Terry Rinker and David Rinker, both of Accident; one brother, Russell Rinker, Lonaconing; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Grace Brethren Church on Saturday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Steve Cisney officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran's cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone.

FROSTBURG ‹ Edith Viola (Jones) Plummer, 79, of Welsh Hill Road, SW, Frostburg, died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Michael Jones and Rachael E. (Plummer) Jones.
Her husband, William "Ted" Theodore Plummer died in 1979. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Leslie "Pete" Jones; one sister, Margaret Cameron; and one brother, Edward L. Jones.
She was a member of the First English Baptist Church, Frostburg, and attended St. Joseph's Adult Day Care Center, Midland. She was a former employee of Footer Cleaners, Frostburg, Charlie Hills Newstand, Frostburg, and the Celanese Fibers Corp., Cumberland.
Surviving are one son, Thomas A. Plummer Sr. and wife Linda, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; three daughters, Delores Elizabeth McNeil and husband William W., Klondike, Terry L. Plummer, Frostburg, and Kathy Hartman, Pocahontas, Pa.; two step-daughters, Betty Jane Dressel, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Patricia Ann Dressel and husband William, West Mifflin, Pa.; a special son-in-law, Kenneth Dale Landis Sr., Frostburg; one sister-in-law, Edith Jones, Lonaconing; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James L. "Doc" Jones, Frostburg Village Nursing Home; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Sandvick officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
