FRANK K. CLINEDINST
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Frank Kevin Clinedinst, 39, of 2035 Winchester Pike, Martinsburg, formerly of LaVale, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Bedford County Memorial Hospital.
Born on Dec. 14, 1961, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the Frank W. Clinedinst and Shirley (Page) Clinedinst of LaVale. He was also preceded in death by a loving grandmother and grandfather, Ethel M. and Floyd E. Logsdon.
He was an employee of the Federal Government.
Surviving in addition to his parents, mentioned above, are his grandmother, Jo Logsdon of Ellerslie, Md.; his wife, Catherine (Nevy) Clinedinst; one daughter, Jessica Leigh Clinedinst, Frostburg, Md.; one sister, Katrina Jackson and husband Rick, Arkansas; and two aunts, Mary E. Dell and husband Curtis, Arizona, and Linda Shaffer and husband Charles, Ellerslie.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Friday from 6 until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Sweyko officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
EUGENE E. CARDER
OLDTOWN - A memorial service for Eugene E. Carder will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Saturday at 5 p.m.
At Mr. Carder's request, his body was donated to the Maryland Anatomical Board.
CHRISTOPHER M. BUTLER
CUMBERLAND - Christopher M. Miller Butler, infant son of Joseph Butler and Tamatha "Annie" Miller, Cumberland, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born Jan. 16, 2001, in Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Angel Hope Miller Butler.
In addition to his parents, surviving are three sisters, Michelle Holtman, Stephanie Holtman and Amanda Holtman; and four brothers, Joey Butler, Brian Netzer, William Rannells and Andy Rannells, all of Cumberland.
Funeral services will be private.
The Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, is handling the arrangements.
GRETA G. BEIGHTOL
BERRYVILLE, Va. - Greta G. Beightol, 69, of 108 Rosemont Circle, Berryville, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at her residence.
Born on Sept. 13, 1931, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Crites, Bedford Road. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She was a certified nursing assistant at Evergreen Heath and Rehab of Winchester.
She was married
to E. Lynn Beightol Jr. who died on July 29, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie B. Jones, Bluemont, Brenda B. Bowen, Stephenson, Beth B. Riser, Denver, Colo.; three sons, E. Lynn Beightol III, Winchester, Larry A. Beightol, Richmond, and Lance A. Beightol, Richmond; a brother, William Crites, San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Caporossi, Titusville, Fla., and Shirley Shehadeh, Olney, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Enders and Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Morrison officiating.
Friends were received at the funeral home on Thursday one hour to the services.
Interment was held in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County.

GILDA C. WILFONG
CUMBERLAND - Gilda C. Wilfong, 71, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born April 28, 1929, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John Arbogast and Gay (Nixon) Arbogast Campbell.
Mrs. Wilfong was a homemaker and lifetime member of the Good Fellowship Club, team captain of Fraternal Order of Ladies Shuffleboard Team, past Chaplain of Memorial Services of Good Fellowship Club and a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John G. Wilfong; one daughter, Pamela Starkey, Frostburg; one son, Craig Dyche and wife Tracee, Cumberland; three stepchildren, John Wilfong III, Carol Jean Buttrum, both of Southern, and Audrey Elaine McCade, Sicona, Ariz.; one sister, Joan C. Gray and Wally, Cumberland; three grandchildren, Mark Wrightsman, Florida, Shelley Goodfellow, Indiana, and Kevin Wrightsman, Cumberland; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and special pet, Binky.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. The Good Fellowship Club will conduct a memorial service Friday at 5:45 p.m.
A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Richard H. Jewell officiating.
At Mrs. Wilfong's request, her body was cremated.

LAWRENCE B. POWELL II
KEYSER, W.Va. - Lawrence "Larry" B. Powell II, 50, of Orlando, Fla., died on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at his residence.
Born on March 19, 1950, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Lawrence Benton and Joan (Fose) Powell.
Larry was employed with Energy Erections of Orlando as an electrician, and was a member of the IBEW Local #307 of Cumberland. He enjoyed motorcycle riding.
Surviving are his daughters, Tabatha Cook and husband Ernie of Rawlings, Md., Jeannie Cummings and husband Craig of Keyser, and Larrie Dawn Kesner and husband Jason of Keyser; his son, Lawrence "Benton" Powell III of Orlando; his brothers, Denny Powell, Tommy Powell and Danny Powell; his sister, Shirley Meyers; half-sister, Sandra; six grandsons; two granddaughters; and a special friend, Myra Cichanowski and her two sons, Matthew and Mark.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. IBEW Local #307 will hold a memorial service at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Waco Biser officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Union Park Memorial Chapel in Orlando.
RICHARD L. NICHOLS
WESTERNPORT - Richard Lee "Duke" Nichols, 70, of 211 Kelly Ave., Westernport, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born on Oct. 31, 1930, in Westernport, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth "Eva" (Mitter) Nichols. A brother, James R. Nichols also preceded him in death.
"Duke" was a retired employee of Westvaco, where he worked for 33 years. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, Westernport, and a member of V.F.W. Queens Point Memorial Post #6775, McCoole.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Helen (Dodds) Nichols; one brother, Duwain Nichols of Keyser, W.Va.; three daughters, Julie Nichols and fiancé Tom Condrasky of Bethesda, Lori Sarfino and husband Derek of Westernport, and Kristi Nichols of Moab, Utah; and two grandchildren, Kori Ann and Anthony Sarfino.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral and interment services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Military rites will be accorded at the funeral home by the combined veterans organizations.
Burial will be in the Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice Unit of Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, or Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va.
