JESSIE SINES
FRIENDSVILLE -- Jessie Sines, 76, of 35 Park St., Friendsville, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born on Nov. 7, 1924, in Mill Run, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Steranko) Vitez. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Sines on March 9, 1959; and one granddaughter, Candy Opel.
Mrs. Sines was a member of Friendsville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She had been employed for 25 years as a librarian with the Ruth Enlow Library, Friendsville Branch, and was also a receptionist for the Newman Funeral Home for 35 years from 1960-1995. She was a member of the Friendsville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Sines, Dunbar, Pa., Judy Lininger, Friendsville, and Dottie Opel, Grantsville; one brother, Harry Vitez, Accident; four sisters, Peg Hurley, Pittsburgh, Pa., Mary Crozier, Uniontown, Pa., Elsie Vitez, Grantsville, and Leona Ross, Friendsville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Friendsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Milliren officiating.
Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.

CUMBERLAND -- Sarah Elizabeth (Blubaugh) Kelley, 80, of 309 Green St., Cumberland, formerly of Gilmore, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at her residence.
Born on May 22, 1920, in Gilmore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob N. Blubaugh and Sarah R. (Fazenbaker) Blubaugh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Kelley; one son, Irvin L. Kelley; and one daughter, Helen E. Kelley.
Surviving are brothers and sisters, Irvin Blubaugh and wife Maryjane, Gilmore, Naomi Wilson, Lonaconing, Raymond Blubaugh and wife Erma, Gilmore, John "Jack" Blubaugh, Slabtown, Mary McKenzie and husband Elmer, LaVale, Betty Poland and husband John, Baltimore, Ruth Beeman, Baltimore, and William Blubaugh and wife Patricia, Klondike; son and daughters, Charles E. Kelley and wife Eve, Michigan, Shirley J. Kelley, Ohio, Naomi E. Hartman and husband Earl, Klondike, and Judith M. House and husband Duane, Oldtown; 12 grandchildren, Joseph L. Kelley, Mary Ann Haines, Susan Huerta, Lisa Connors, Bobby Kelley, Billy Kelley, Richard Hartman, Melissa Wolfe, Cheryl Hartman, William Minnick, Jacob Minnick and Earlene Sorrells; and 16 great-grandchildren, Joseph Kelley Jr., Jessica A. Huerta, Donald Huerta, Timothy Huerta, Ronald Haines Jr., Matthew Kelley, Natasha Kelley, Richard Hartman Jr., Austin Wolfe, Sierra Minnick, Justin Connors, Robert Connors, Dustin Kelley, Heather Sorrells, Leonard Sorrells II, and Nathaniel Sorrells.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Burial will be in Blocher Cemetery, Old Frostburg Road.
Pallbearers will be Richard Hartman, Russell Wolfe, Jacob Minnick, William Minnick and Leonard Sorrells II.
CHARLES COFFMAN JR.
SHORT GAP, W.Va. -- Charles Coffman Jr., 77, of Short Gap, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 18, 1923, in Ridgeley, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Aletta (Sipes) Coffman. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Coffman; and one sister, Virginia Kelley.
Mr. Coffman was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European Theater during World War II. He was a retired carman and brakeman for the Western Maryland and B&O Railroad.
Mr. Coffman was a member of the Holy Cross United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Foley) Coffman; two daughters, Pat Barbe and husband Freddie, Wiley Ford, and Sandra Abe and husband Raymond, Cheyenne, Wy.; one son, Charles Coffman and wife Deborah, Fort Ashby; one brother, Lloyd Coffman and wife Evelyn, Furnace Acres, Ridgeley; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Tom and Patricia Harris and daughter, Kim, Short Gap.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, Md., on Wednesday from 3:30 until 5:30 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

CHARLES R. ANGLE
WESTERNPORT -- Charles Robert Angle, 78, of 400 Spruce St., Westernport, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born in Westernport, on July 30, 1922, he was the son of the late George and Bertha (Grenzenback) Angle. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Angle.
Mr. Angle was an Army veteran of World War II, with the 613th Engineer Light Equipment Co., having served in the European Campaign and Normandy Invasion. He was a retired from Double Envelope Co., of Gainesville, Fla. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, a member of the Victory Post #155 American Legion, Westernport, and Queens Point VFW #6775, McCoole. He was a Catholic by faith, and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Gainesville.
Surviving are his wife, Janet (Jonosha) Angle; one son, Mark Dawson and wife Leslie of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Harriett Russo and husband Jason of Florida, Janet Chanilall and husband Reynold of New York, and Jennifer Dawson Raines and husband Tom of Westernport; nine grandchildren, Natasha Russo, Renee Russo, Stephanie Chanilall, Tommelynn Raines, Sarah Raines, Wesley Dawson, Kyle Dawson, Sabrina Chanilall and Kevin Chanilall.
At Mr. Angle's request, his body was cremated.
Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
Memorials maybe directed to Tri-Towns Rescue Squad or Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit.
The Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of the arrangements.
JOHN S. SHIPLEY
BEDFORD, Pa. -- John Stewart Shipley, 79, of Bedford, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Rainsburg, son of the late Guy Emery and Jennie Grace (Stuckey) Shipley.
On Jan. 1, 1942, he married
Reta Belle Miller and she survives along with three children, Gerry Stewart Shipley married
to the former Susan Straub of Destin, Fla., Sylvia Lynn, wife of Robert W. Peery Jr. of Watkinsville, Ga., and Amos Emery Shipley married
to the former Teresa Pencil of Moon Township; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Freda Helinski of Reisterstown, Md., and Ella Reynolds, of Cumberland, Md. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosiland Kay; and two brothers, Paul and Ralph.
Mr. Shipley was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church, Bedford Masonic Lodge 320 F & M, and Bedford Elks Lodge 1707. He had worked for Glenn L. Martin Aircraft in Baltimore, Kelly Springfield in Cumberland, Wilson Freight Forwarding Co. in Everett and Cleveland, Mack Trucks Inc. in Bedford, Interstate Trucking in Pittsburgh, former Lloyds Building Supply in Bedford and was currently co-owner of Bedford Village Gifts.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Dr. Guy Carrigan officiating.
Burial will be at the Union cemetery in Centerville.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m.
