BLAINE REICHENBECHER
Blaine Reichenbecher, 80, Grantsville, died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born Sept. 4, 1918, near Grantsville, he was a son of the late Albert G. and Stella (Folk) Reichenbecher. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Violet Kendzora.
He was a retired mechanic for the former Casselman Motor Co., Keyser’s Ridge Garage, and Blaine’s Garage. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, ELCA, Cove.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Freda Grace (Bowser) Reichenbecher; one son, Joey B. Reichenbecher, Grantsville; one daughter, Judy L. Schlossnagle, Columbiana, Ohio; two brothers, Vernon 'Tom' Reichenbecher and Homer 'Rick' Reichenbecher, both of Accident; two sisters, Beulah Phelps, Accident, and Marge Menges, Grantsville; four grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was conducted Tuesday, June 22, with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn III officiating. Interment was in the Addison (Pa.) Cemetery.

WILLIAM E. ROWAN
William E. Rowan, 72, Baltimore, formerly of Cumberland and Oakland, died Monday, June 21, 1999, at his home.
Born Dec. 2, 1926, in Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of the late Peter J. and Ada (Fleming) Rowan. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Frances Milnecki.
He was retired from Giant Food. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Proctor Kildow Post 71 American Legion, Oakland, and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine E. (Iman) Rowan; four daughters, Donna M. Buddington, Durham, N.C., Sharon E. Dawson, Baltimore, Claudia J. Balsinger, Baltimore, and Patricia L. Martin, Greenbelt; three sons, Richard L. Rowan, Tennessee, William E. Rowan, Prince George’s County, and Ronald S. Rowan, Baltimore; two sisters, Josephine Livengood and Margaret Grubbs, both of Oakland; one brother, Leo Rowan, Oakland; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cumberland, where a service was conducted earlier today, June 24, with Father Vance Pastorius, O.F.M., Cap., officiating. Interment was in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone. Graveside military honors were accorded by members of the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
ODAVEA I. WARNICK
Odavea I. Warnick, 73, Swanton, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born April 11, 1926, in Vindex, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Gertrude (May) McCrobie.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Warnick; three daughters, Patricia Paugh, Oakland, Twila Mayhugh, Mannington, W.Va., and Barbara Shaffer, Deer Park; four sons, Larry Warnick, Swanton, Mickey Warnick, Oakland, Robert Warnick, Mtn. Lake Park, and Gary Warnick, Loch Lynn; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. A service will be conducted at the Loch Lynn Church of God on Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
AGNES E. WEICHT
Agnes Ella Weicht, 84, Williamsport, died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born Feb. 2, 1915, in Kitzmiller, she was a daughter of the late Alexander Elliot Harvey Sr. and Golda Maude (Jones) Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dayne Weicht Sr., in 1986; one sister, Theresa Phillips; and two brothers, Bradley Harvey and Alex Harvey Jr.
She was a 1932 graduate of Kitzmiller High School.
She retired in 1973 as a physical therapist for the Western Maryland Center. She had also worked at the Washington County Hospital. She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport, the AARP, and the Maryland Classified Employees.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Petre, Walkersville; one son, Ronald Weicht Jr., Williamsport; one sister, Alta Paul, Baltimore; three granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
Friends were received at the Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. A service was conducted in the Albert L. Leaf Memorial Chapel in the funeral home on Monday, June 21, with the Rev. James E. Swecker officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

JOYCE K. NAZELROD
Joyce K. Nazelrod, 76, Mtn. Lake Park, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Jan. 11, 1923, in Craigsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Sidney F. and Deelonia G. (Shue) Young.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Clifton Forge, Va.
Survivors include two sons, Sidney R. Nazelrod, Loch Lynn Heights, and Paul F. Nazelrod Jr., Oakland; one brother, Thomas K. Young, Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and twostep-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the Deer Park Family Worship Center on Friday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Billy Vanhoozier officiating. Interment will follow in the Deer Park Cemetery. GLORIA J. WILT
Gloria June Wilt, 70, McCoole, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at her home.
Born June 4, 1929, in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Olive (Green) Fazenbaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman W. Wilt, in 1997.
She was a homemaker and a member of the McCoole Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three sons, John Wilt, McCoole, James Wilt, Piedmont, W.Va, and Sherman D. Wilt, McCoole; one daughter, Carol Ann Harvey, West Newton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Jack Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the North Glade Cemetery, Swanton.
HATTIE P. ARBOGAST
Hattie P. Arbogast, 78, Oakland, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born March 11, 1921, at Horse Shoe Run, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Clara V. (Roth) Harsh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arbogast, in 1986.
Surviving are one son, Danny L. Arbogast, Oakland, and one brother, George Harsh, Kingwood, W.Va.
There was no viewing, and a private interment will be held at a later date.
The Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, was in charge of arrangements.
HILDA M. BOICE
Hilda M. Boice, 96, Louisville, Ky., formerly of Oakland, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at the Georgetown Manor Nursing Home, Louisville.
Born May 1, 1903, in Windum, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (Cosner) Iman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Trevor C. Boice, in 1979.
She was a member of the Pleasure Ridge General Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Donald C. Boice, Louisville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland. An interment service was conducted at the Deer Park Cemetery on Wednesday, Aug. 25, with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.
LINDA L. BUSCIGLIO
Linda Leona Busciglio, 49, Pasadena, formerly of Walnut Bottom, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at her home, after a battle with cancer.
Born Oct. 5, 1949, in Swanton, she was a daughter of the late McConnell Grover Sharpless and Alice Victoria (Turner) Sharpless Madigan. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Elwood Sharpless; one sister, Judy Sharpless; and a goddaughter.
She was an active member of the Delmont United Methodist Church, Severn. She was employed by Tower Federal Credit Union, Laurel.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Mickey F. Busciglio; two sons, Anthony 'Tony' M. Busciglio and Aaron M. Busciglio, both at home; one daughter, Angela 'Angie' M. Busciglio, at home; five brothers, Roy 'Buck' Sharpless and Richard Sharpless, both of Swanton, James 'Jim' Sharpless and Robert 'Mesh' Sharpless, both of Deer Park, and Paul Sharpless, Frostburg; and two sisters, Lois Shockey, Laurel, and Fay Tichnell, Chestnut Grove.
Friends and family were received at the Stallings Funeral Home, Pasadena, where a service was conducted Sunday with the Revs. Dan and Judy Stone officiating. Interment was private.
A memorial service was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Delmont United Methodist Church, Severn, with the Revs. Stone officiating.

LUTHER L. MILLER
Luther Lee Miller, 75, Sharpsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown.
Born March 31, 1924, in Jennings, he was a son of the late Loy Webster and Jessie Frances (Butler) Miller.
He was employed as a correction officer with MCI, Hagerstown. He retired in 1991. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the European Theatre and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, Grantsville; American Legion Post 214, Grantsville; Woodmen of the World Lodge 41, Grantsville; the AARP; and the Maryland Classified Employees Association. He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Jean R. (Warnick) Miller; one son, Lance L. Miller, Brunswick; two sisters, Margie Hetrick, Mt. Airy, and Vadne Henline, Silver Spring; one brother, Marvin L. Miller, Grantsville; and one granddaughter.
Friends were received at the Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, where a service was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 25, with the Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer officiating. Interment was in the Manor Cemetery, Tilghmanton. Military graveside services were conducted by members of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion.

Melvin Roy Harsh, 78, Eglon, W.Va., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Jan. 9, 1921, in Eglon, he was a son of the late James Nelson and Carrie (Lantz) Harsh.
He was a dairy farmer, a member of the Mtn. Lions Club, a driver for Union Ambulance Service, and a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Ina (Beckman) Harsh; two sons, Stanley James Harsh, Eglon, and Mark Allen Harsh, Bayard, W.Va.; two daughters, Neva Jean Frantz and Brenda Sue Hartsell, both of Eglon; three brothers, Artenis Harsh, Thomas, W.Va., Wilmer Harsh, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Jesse Harsh, Oakland; one sister, Berdena Hesse, Oakland; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the church on Friday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. John Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Eglon Cemetery.
