THELMA H. ALLEE
CUMBERLAND -- Thelma Harriet Allee, 79, of Bedford Road, Cumberland, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born on Oct. 20, 1921, in Flintstone, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Morral Sr. and Lona (Ketterman) Morral. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Wade K., Roy, Marvin Jr. and Wilbur Morral; and a sister, Marian Vance.
Mrs. Allee was a homemaker and an avid flower gardner. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, McKinley Chapter #12 Order of Eastern Star and Past Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls Assembly #6, Cumberland.
She is survived by her husband, William Thomas Allee; four daughters, Carole R. Allee, Cumberland, T.H. Lynn Marshall and husband Brady, Manassas Park, Va., Diana A. Beverlin and husband Alan, Cumberland, Barbara V. Millholland and husband George, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Virgil Morral and wife Dorothy and Cain Morral, both of Flintstone; three sisters, Georgia Struckman, Frostburg, Ruth Crabtree and Helen Long and husband Paul, all of Cumberland; seven grandchildren, John B. Marshall, Elizabeth A. Zadik, Victoria D. Yates and Sally Hoffman, all of Manassas, Alison L., George R. and Melanie Millholland, all of Colorado Springs; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha L. Marshall, Michelle D. Yates, William J. Zadik, James V. Yates Jr., Rachel K. Zadik, Emily M. Yates, Lauren A. Hoffman and Jessica T. Zadik, all of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A private funeral service will be conducted with interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, April 22, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Edward C. Chapman officiating.
The McKinley Chapter #12, O.E.S. will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

ROBERT MASON
MIDLAND -- Robert Mason, 52, of 14902 Railroad St., Midland, died Monday, April 9, 2001, at his residence.
Born in Baltimore, on Dec. 22, 1948, he was the son of James Mason of Texas, and the late Genevieve (Gallagher) Mason.
Mr. Mason was a former employee of Winner Brothers Coal Co., where he was a mechanic. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of Alvin C. Neat VFW, Lonaconing.
In addition to his father, James, he is survived by his wife, Sarah (Duckworth) Mason; a stepmother, Pauline Mason of Texas; one son, Steve Mason and wife Katherine of Cumberland; one brother, Dave Mason of California; two sisters, Bonnie Burdine and husband Melvin of Ohio, and Tammy Sikora of Pennsylvania; three granddaughters, Rebecca, Clarissa and Kristina Mason; and a special cousin, Tommy Booth of Oldtown.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
EDNA J. JUNKINS
KITZMILLER -- Edna Josephine Junkins, 91, died Monday, April 8, 2001, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born on Nov. 3, 1909, in Elk Garden, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late George O. and Magie (Warnick) Harding. Mrs. Junkins was also preceded in death by her husband, Truman Junkins.
Edna was a member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, George "Bill" Junkins and wife Nellie Jean of Kitzmiller; a daughter, Loraine Elliott and husband Lawrence, also of Kitzmiller; a sister, Eva Lee Rohrbaugh and husband Dwight of Elk Garden; one grandson, Charles Elliott and wife Susanne of Kentucky; and three great-grandchildren, Sam, Sara and Ben Elliott, all of Kentucky.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home in Kitzmiller.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Mou and the Rev. Sam Calhoun officiating.
Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
HOPE C. LEISTER
HYNDMAN, Pa. -- Hope Christina Leister, infant daughter of Christina Marie (Keith) and Alan Eugene Leister II, of Fifth Avenue, Hyndman, died April 8, 2001, at the West Virginia University Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born on April 7, 2001, in Morgantown, Hope is survived by a sister, Alyssa Gwen, at home; paternal grandparents, Janice (Barrett) and Alan E. "Gene" Leister, Hyndman; maternal grandmother, Karen Flinn, Hyndman; maternal grandfather, Craig Shaffer and wife Carol, Manns Choice; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
Hope was preceded in death by her maternal step-grandfather, Doug Flinn.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Thursday, April 12, 2001, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roger A. Johnson officiating.
Friends will be received by the family at the funeral home for one hour immediately prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe, Pa.
BARBARA J. TEWELL
MINERAL, Va. -- Barbara Jeanne Schulke Tewell, 73, of Mineral, died Dec. 4, 2000, at her Lake Anna home.
A portion of her ashes will be inurned in the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Cumberland, Md., on her husband's birthday, April 12, with the remainder inurned in her family plot in Grand Forks, N.D., on May 8, the anniversary of her birth.
She is survived by her husband, Captain Daryl Tewell; stepchildren, Daryl II, Kara, Mark and Christi; six grandchildren; a brother, Major General Herbert A. Schulke Jr., U.S. Army (Ret.) C41, San Antonio, Texas; and her cousins, C.L. (Bud) Linfoot, Grand Forks, N.D., Dr. John Linfoot, Orinda, Calif., Helen Dahl, San Antonio, Texas, Dorothea Stinson Checkley, Seattle, Wash., and Darlyne Stinson Truby, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Tewell was born on May 8, 1927, in New Ulm, Minn., a daughter of the late Herbert and Alice Stinson Schulke.
She graduated from Carleton College in 1949 and became a flight attendant for Chicago and Southern Airways in 1950, flying until 1962. She worked at Eastern Airlines in a management capacity until 1976, when she married.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
LEE R. DEAL
SALISBURY, Pa. -- Lee Roy Deal, 82, of 630 Greenville Road, Salisbury, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale.
Born on Aug. 13, 1918, in Elk Lick Township, he was the son of the late Lester and Nellie (Reiber) Deal. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty M. (Beachy) Deal; one sister, Edna Schrock; and two brothers, Earl Deal and infant, Glenn Deal.
Mr. Deal was a dairy farmer and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury.
He is survived by four sons, Jerry Deal, Salisbury, Bernard Deal, Cumberland, Md., Paul W. Deal, Meyersdale, and George Deal, Salisbury; two daughters, Ellen Opel, Salisbury, and Dorothy Jones, Parsons, W.Va.; one brother, Clyde Deal, Salisbury; one sister, Pauline Shumaker, Salisbury; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 13, 2001, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.
Interment will be in Salisbury Cemetery.
