MR. ROBERT E. SHANHOLTZER
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mr. Robert Eugene Shanholtzer, 77, of Charlotte, died Friday, June 1, 2001.
Mr. Shanholtzer was born March 9, 1924 in Cumberland, a son of the late Ernest L. Shanholtzer and Dessel Burch Shanholtzer.
He was an employee of the Federal Aviation Administration for 35 years and was also a past master of the Henry Masonic Lodge 57 in Fairfax, Va.
Survivors include three children, Tory Vornholt of Atlanta, Ga., Michael Shanholtzer of Round Hill, Va., and Kimberly Walker of Charlotte; sisters, Doris Fisher of Ridgely, W.Va., and Josephine Glaze of Frostburg, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 from the graveside in Asbury United Methodist Church cemetery in Bean Settlement, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 1229 Greenwood Cliff, Suite 109, Charlotte, NC 28204.
Arrangements are in the care of Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel, Charlotte, and the McKee Funeral Home in Baker, W.Va.
KATHERINE M. BIANCO
CUMBERLAND -- Katherine M. Bianco, 38, of 727 Columbia Ave., died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 26, 1962 in Virginia, she was the daughter of Mary Bianco, Laurel, and the late Anthony Bianco.
Ms. Bianco was dedicated mother to her son, Jesse Bianco and her daughter, Samantha Bianco. She will be greatly missed by both. In addition to her children and mother, also surviving are one brother, Doug Bianco, Laurel; three sisters, Michelle Bianco, Laurel, Sandy Griscom, Millington, and Terri Morrison, Chester; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jerry Marks, Laurel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Emmanuel Bethel United Methodist Church, 2400 Humbird St., Cumberland.
CONNIE M. DAYTON
KEYSER, W.Va. -- Connie M. Dayton, 83, of Rt. 4, Keyser, died on Friday, June 1, 2001, at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born in Beaver Falls, Pa., on April 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Caroline (Endress) Straub.
Mrs. Dayton was co-owner/operator of Dayton Body Shop in McCoole, MD. She was a member of Assumption Church, the Upper Potomac Shrine Club, and a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Allegany-Garret County Volunteer Firemen's Assn.
he is survived by her husband of 55 years, G. William Dayton; her brother Bernard Straub of Leetonia, Ohio; her sister Dorothy Dutko of Salem, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Church on Monday, June 4, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R. as celebrant.
Interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

RICHARD W. BROWNING
CARPENDALE, W.Va. -- Richard Wayne "Rick" Browning, 52, of Carpendale, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his home. He was a devoted husband, dad, pap-pap and friend. He prayed with many friends and relatives in their time of need and now is rejoicing with them.
Born on Oct. 20, 1948, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of Mary (Carlile) Browning, Wiley Ford, and the late Albert Browning.
Mr. Browning retired from CSX Railroad in 1990. He was a 1967 graduate of Ridgeley High School and attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, Fort Ashby. He coached Ridgeley PeeWee Football from 1970 to 1982.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Brenda Joyce (Saville) Browning, whom he married
on May 13, 1967; three sons, M. Shane Browning and wife Wendi, Fort Ashby, Troy A. Browning and wife Stacey, Short Gap, and Reed B. Browning, Carpendale, and Chandra Dixon, Short Gap; three grandchildren, Blake Browning, Austin Browning and Jessica Jenkins; four brothers, Albert Browning and wife Rae, Fort Ashby, Randy Browning, Wiley Ford, Ralph Campbell and wife Stacy, Wiley Ford, and Frank Campbell and wife Linda, Splendora, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon with Pastor Wes Beahm officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hansrote, Andy Abernathy, Tom Starkey, Charlie Keller, Bob Kemp and Shawn Robinette.

OLIVER L. MEAGHER
FROSTBURG -- Oliver L. Meagher, 86, of Frostburg, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
There will be no visitation or services held.
His body will be cremated.
Inurnment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
The Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, is in charge of the arrangements.
JOHN A. SIDES
ELLERSLIE -- John Alcuin Sides, 85, of Mason-Dixon View Drive, Ellerslie, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his residence.
Born on April 19, 1916, in Hyndman, Pa., he was a son of the late Charles A. and Mary E. (Smith) Sides.
Surviving are Sara E. (Leydig) Sides, his wife of 57 years, whom he married
on June 17, 1943; a son, Samuel A. Sides, Gurnee, Ill.; a daughter, Mary Ellen Kennell and husband "Billy", Ellerslie; sister, E. Faye Clites, Norton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Pauline (Eisel) Sides, Hyndman; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Sides was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. "Tim" Sides; and a sister, R. Elizabeth Beidler.
Mr. Sides was formerly employed in the development department of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, from which he retired after 39 years of service in 1981.
He was an active member of Redeemer United Church of Christ, Ellerslie, and had formerly served on the church Consistory. He had also served as President of the Joint Consistory, Hyndman UCC Charge.
Mr. Sides was a 50-year member of Hyndman Lodge #589 F&AM, where he had served as Past Master. He was also a 50-year member of the Scottish Rite and the Shrine Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2001, at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, where Hyndman Lodge #589 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, June 2 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steven L. Craft officiating.
Interment will be in Madley-Yutzy Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, Pa.
