LEWIS M. KIGHT
WESTERNPORT -- Lewis Malcolm Kight, 91, of 111 Wood St. Westernport, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit., Romney, W.Va., where he was a patient for three weeks.
Born on Sept. 8, 1909, in Barnum, W.Va., he was the son of the late Russell and Katherine (Derham) Kight. Three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Jordan, Mrs. Elianor Lininger, Miss Katherine Kight, and one brother, Harold Kight also preceded him in death. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Kight was the owner of Malc's Esso Station for 25 years. He served for several years as President of the Upper Potomac T.V. Company. He retired at the age of 70. Mr. Kight was also the first person to bring television into the Tri-Towns. Thru his experimentation, he was able to bring (not perfect) television to Malc's Esso Station. He was a veteran of World War II, serving several years on Dodge City, Kansas and Frederick, Okla., in the Army Air Force as a Crew Chief Engineer, with the B-26. He was a member of the Victory Post 155 American Legion, Westernport, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va. He served as president of the Tri-Towns Chamber of Commerce and for many years served as Treasurer of the commerce.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine (Hull) Kight; a son, Lewis Malcolm Kight Jr. and wife Sharolyn of Kauai, HI; grandchildren, Angelei (Michael) Hauge, Crystal (Malani) Bilyeu, Miss Allison Praise, Bronson Kight, Braven and Miss Vanessa Kight; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Salazar, Sharece, Nicholos, James Malcolm Hauge, Travis, Sarah, James, Joel, and Jonathan Bilyeu; and several special nieces and nephews from Keyser, W.Va.
Mr. Kight's body was cremated.
The family will receive friends at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 2, from 1 to 2 p.m., with memorial services to follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Inurnment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, W.Va.
The family requests memorials to be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church's Children Department or Church Choir or the American Cancer Society.
The Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
GLADYS E. (BOWSER) MEYERS
GRANTSVILLE -- Gladys Evelyn (Bowser) Meyers, 83, of 192 Jennings Road, Grantsville, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home.
Born March 21, 1918, in Bittinger, she was the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Yaste) Bowser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman William Meyers, Aug. 23, 2000; two sons, Richard Allen and William David Meyers; and three brothers, Cleman W., Owen D., and Arthur R. Bowser.
Mrs. Meyers was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings.
Surviving are two sons, Robert O. and Rodney L. Meyers; two daughters, Donna D. Miller and Judy E. Resh, all of Grantsville; a niece, Leora (Meyers) Belt, Silver Spring, whom Herman and Gladys raised from childhood; three sisters, Melva G. Barley, Silver Spring, Bernadine M. Watkins, Canton, Mich., and Vadna F. Bowser, Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
Friends will be recieved at the Newman Funeral homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Patricia A. T. Pittsnogle officiating.
Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Bowser, John Bowser, Greg Lawson, Andrew Yoder, David Wilt and Blair Yommer.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County.
JAMES D. MYERS
CUMBERLAND -- James David Myers, 50, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his residence.
Born July 30, 1950 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Russell J. and Edith Beverly (Slaven) Myers.
Mr. Myers was owner and manager of Federal Printing Company. He was a model railroad collector and belonged to the Maryland and West Virginia Model Railroad Association. He was a member of the Western Maryland Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.
Surviving are three sisters, Carol Rice and husband Gene, Cumberland, Susan Willison and husband Randy, Meyersdale, Pa., and Amy L. Riggleman, Cumberland; one brother, Michael S. Everhart and wife Peggy, Cumberland; three aunts, Ruth Rexroad, LaVale, Polly Pennington and husband Leonard, Wiley Ford, W.Va., and Georgia Myers, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Greene officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

NELLIE L. FINK
KINGWOOD, W.Va. -- Nellie L. Fink, 92, of 430 E. Main St., Kingwood, formerly of Keyser, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at the home of Mary Alice Riggs in Rowlesburg.
Born on March 26, 1909 at Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Trenter and Annie (High) Trenter Taylor. She also was preceded in death by her step father, O.J. Taylor; and her husband, Stanley Ervin Fink on May 31, 1992; two brothers, Ernest and Ursell "Bud" Trenter; a step son, Ralph Fink and a step grandson, Jerry Don Fink.
Mrs. Fink was formerly employed at the Keyser Woolen Mill and the Celanese Amcelle Plant.
Surviving are three sons, Ervin Fink and wife Darlene, Kingwood, Jerry Fink and wife Christine, Morgantown, and Douglas Davey and wife Sherry, Akron, Ohio; one sister, Gladys Chaney, Keyser; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. K. Almond and the Rev. John Negley officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
JAMES H. SWAUGER
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. -- James H. Swauger, 86, of Fleetwood Drive, Buffalo Mills, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at his residence.
He is survived by Esther L. (Plessinger) Swauger, his wife of 64 years, whom he married
June 17, 1936; a son, John A. Swauger and wife Carol (Kreigline), a daughter, Diann V. Maule and husband Dwight R.; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Swauger Turner; and a brother-in-law, Donald Whitford, all of Buffalo Mills; a sister, Marion Shaffer and husband James, Hyndman; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.
DONALD F. FRAZEE
HAZELTON, W.Va. -- Donald Foster Frazee, 64, of Hazelton, W.Va., and formerly of Friendsville, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Born Dec. 26, 1936, in Friendsville, he was a son of Norma (Sisler) Frazee, Friendsville and the late Foster Frazee. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jerri Jo Frazee and one grandson, Alexander Nottingham.
Mr. Frazee was a fourth generation timber operator. He was President of Interstate Lumber Company for 40 years and President of F & M Coal Company. He also was a partner in TAZ Lumber Company. All operations are based in Preston County. He was a member of Laurel Run Church of God and numerous organizations.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Judith Ann (Uphold) Frazee; one son, Larry D. "Pete" Frazee; two daughters, Debra A. Spear and Terri L. Williams, all of Friendsville; one step son, Robert Ferguson, Jane Lew; one brother, Edward Gene Frazee, McHenry; one sister, Patty Frantz, Friendsville; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cathy Harman officiating.
Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
