PAULINE G. (CRABTREE) FOX
OLDTOWN -- Pauline G. (Crabtree) Fox, 82, of Oldtown, died Monday, May 28, 2001, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 23, 1919, in Picardy, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Carrie (Alderton) Crabtree. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Charles Nixon; one grandson, Clyde W. Ankeney III; one great-granddaughter, Natasha Ankeney; two brothers, Edward Leo Crabtree and James Nile Crabtree; and three sisters, Rose V. Lewis, Beulah Davis, and Helen Walters.
Mrs. Fox. was a retired steward of the American Legion, Post 128, Paw Paw. She was a member of Oldtown Baptist Church, Oldtown, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her loving husband, Emmett B. Fox; three daughters, Shirley Kimble and husband Harlin, Oldtown, JoAnn Ankeney and husband Clyde, Hagerstown, Glenda Keyser and husband Charles, Oldtown; one step son, Gray Fox and wife Diane, West Union; one step daughter, Kimberly George and husband Danny, Parkersburg; two brothers, Russell Crabtree and wife Juanita, Oldtown, Walter Crabtree and wife Roselee, Martinsburg; three sisters, Nellie Rader and husband Melvin, Oldtown, JoAnn Allen and husband Gerald, Cumberland, and Maxine Crabtree, Oldtown; five granddaughters, Pam Robinson and husband Greg, Lisa Piper and husband Steve, Tammy Coffman and husband Mike, Debbie Mills and husband Tony, Kim Hose and husband Charlie; and nine great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jesse Robinson, Josh and Lucas Piper, Megan and Brittany Coffman, Corey Mills, Ashley and Karlie Hose.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home, Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Joseph DiNicola officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Greg Robinson, Michael Coffman, Jeremy Robinson, Tony Mills, Charlie Hose, and Steve Piper.
IMOGENE R. GLASS
SYKESVILLE -- Imogene Ruby Glass, 64, of Sykesville, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at her home, after a brief illness.
Born April 27, 1937, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Daniel and Emma Pearl Crawford Rice Hook. She was the wife of Frances Melvin Glass of Sykesville.
She retired from the Springfield Hospital Center, Sykesville, after 26 years, where she had worked as an LPN.
She is survived by step sons, Patrick Glass of Mount Airy, Karl Glass of Mont., and Clarence Glass of Frostburg; step daughters, Cecelia Jane Smith of Norfolk, Va., and Diana Lynn McKenzie of Frostburg; step brother, Roy Lashbaught of Cumberland and step sisters, Carol Clark of Oakland and Wanda Jenkins of Mount Savage. She is also survived by 17 step-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers, George and Howard Rice and by step-mother, the late Nellie Hook.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Officiating will be Pastor John Hevey.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

EDGEWOOD -- Debra Kay Hutson, 44, of Edgewood died at Union Memorial Hospital on May 28, 2001.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Clarence Woodrow Lewis, Cumberland and Patricia Louise Huffman Lewis, Cumberland.
She was a registration clerk in the emergency room at Harford Memorial Hospital. A resident of Harford County since 1977, she was a member of Edgewood Assembly of God. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutson is survived by her husband of 18 years, James Edward Hutson; a son, John Robert Edward Hutson, Edgewood; a brother, Donald Woodrow Lewis, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; a step mother, Dolores Lewis, Cumberland; a grandmother, Genevieve Coffman, Edgewood; aunts and uncles, Donna Haines Edgewood, Lavauda and Walter Apple, Cumberland, and Linda and Charles Hinzepeter, Fla.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 31, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Friday, June 1 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas M. Twigg officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Apple, Walter Apple, Donald Lewis, Mark Hutson, Edward Dickson, and Bruce McClellan.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Graveside services will be conducted for Betty J. (Bridges) Wright-Barile at St. Mary's cemetery on Thursday at 10 a.m.

CHARLES S. "CHUCK" ROBINETTE
CUMBERLAND -- Charles S. "Chuck" Robinette, 46, of the Brandenburg Center, Cumberland, died Monday, May 28, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born March 18, 1955 in Ohio, he was the son of the late H. Ray Robinette Jr. and late Elizabeth (Appel) Robinette.
Chuck was an employee for Goodwill Industries. He was very active in the community. He was a volunteer with the March of Dimes. He helped with several of their programs including Healthy Life Styles. The March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon and developed a fundraiser called Chuck's Pumpkin Patch to raise money for the organization. He was an alternate board member of the Motivational Group. In 1998, he won the Brandenburg Helping Hands Award for his community efforts. He loved to travel and participate locally in Special Olympics. Chuck became a registered voter in 1996. He attended church at the Brandenburg Center and Cresaptown United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Winnie R. Ward, Kathy R. Kunze, both of Frederick; two brothers, Edwin L. Robinette and wife Etta, Baltimore, and Dale B. Robinette and wife Amy, Walkersville; and several nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his special family at the Joseph Brandenburg Center; his friend and uncle, Robert Appel and wife JoJo and Aunt Margie Humbertson.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor David Sandvick officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Winnie Ward, Kathy Kunze, Dale Robinette, Gordon Miller, Jim Humbertson, and Mike Bittner.

JAMES H. SWAUGER
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. -- James H. Swauger, 86, of Fleetwood Drive, Buffalo Mills, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at his residence.
Born Feb. 22, 1915, in Fossilville, Bedford County, Pa, he was a son of the late James Henry and Lena Vanira (Holler) Swauger.
Surviving are Esther L. (Plessinger) Swauger, his wife of 64 years, whom he married
June 17, 1936; a son, James H. Swauger and wife Carol (kreigline); a daughter, Diann V. Maule and husband Dwight R.; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Swauger Turner; and a brother-in-law, Donald Whitford. all of Buffalo Mills; a sister, Marion Shaffer and husband James, Hyndman; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by on son, J. Gary Swauger in 1981, by two brothers, and four sisters.
Mr. Swauger had retired in 1975 from the B&O Railroad, where he worked as an engineer. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Buffalo Mills, where he had formerly sung in the choir. He was a longtime member of the NRA.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman.
Funeral services will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church, Hyndman Road, Buffalo Mills, on Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David L. Right officiating.
Interment will be in Lybarger Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
