THELMA O. LENHART
GARRETT, Pa. -- Thelma O. Lenhart, 100, of Garrett, died April 25, 2001, at home.
Born March 9, 1901, in Paw Paw, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Malcolm) Grant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Philson; son Charles; one brother; four sisters; and a great-grandchild.
Thelma was the last living member of her family.
She is survived by sons Guy and wife Margaret, Thomasville; Belmont and wife Dorothy, Boynton; Jay and wife Edna, Hellem; Homer and wife Dawn, Mount Wolf; daughters, Thelma and husband Bernard Nolte Sr., Summit Township; Joyce and husband George Nicklow, Thomasville; Sarah and husband Howard Gary Sr., Garrett; daughter-in-law Doris Lenhart, Dover; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, and Monday one hour before services at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Garrett with the Rev. Ronald Beachley and the Rev. Timothy Shivler officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
TWILA F. WELLER
PAW PAW, W.Va. -- Mrs. Twila F. "Billie" Weller, 88, of Paw Paw, died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.
She was born Nov. 29, 1912 in Hampshire County and was the daughter of the late William Seville and Myrtle Moore Thomas.
She was a secretary and librarian for the Paw Paw school. She was also an associate with the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and The Miller Funeral Home of Paw Paw for 20 years. She was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church and the Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
On Jan. 28, 1931 she married
Harvey P. Weller, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Barbara Hanlin, Paw Paw and Donna Jean Robey, Martinsburg. Twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Saturday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 29, 2001, at 2 p.m., at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Ward officiating.
Burial will be in the Camp Hill cemetery at Paw Paw.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw.
CARL L. CESSNA
WESTMINSTER -- Carl L. Cessna, 81, of Westminster, died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at his home.
Born January 22, 1920, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Jacob C. and Ellen C. Miller Cessna. His wife is Karen M. Brunner Cessna.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Carol Cessna, Glenville, P.A.; sons, Joseph E. Cessna, Pickerington, Ohio, and Theodore "Ted" Cessna, at home; one daughter, Carol F. Dombrowski, Kalamazoo, Mich.; one sister, Elaine Miller, Mount Savage; and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Joan Roach and Mary Emma Blake.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church, Westminster, Monday at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Arthur F. Valenzano as celebrant.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery in Mount Savage.
The family will receive friends at the Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
GLEN M. SARVER
FROSTBURG -- Glen Milton Sarver, 38, of Lower Consol Road, Frostburg, died Friday, April 27, 2001, at his residence.
Born Feb. 28, 1963 in Cumberland, he was the son of Milton Lee and Judith Ann (Perry) Sarver, Cumberland.
Mr. Sarver was a graduate of Allegany High School and attended Allegany College. He recently had retired from the Maryland State Department of Highways.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sarver is survived by his wife, Apryle Lea (Smith) Sarver, two daughters Stephanie Nicole and Rachel Anne Sarver; three brothers, Mark and wife Susan, Hagerstown, Bruce and wife Melinda, White City, Kan., and Phillip and Connie, Hagerstown; three sisters, Cynthia Shipway, Cumberland, Janice Howard and husband Earl, Trafford, P.A. and Karen Driver and husband Norlyn, Bedford, P.A.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Riley, the Rev. Joseph Penick and the Rev. T. William Preston officiating.
Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.

HARLEY G. COSNER
MOUNT STORM, W.Va. -- Harley Galen Cosner, 77, of HC 76, Box 308, Mount Storm, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 at his residence.
Born on April 16, 1924, at Bismarck, he was a son of the late Aaron Basil and Flossie Marie (Moore) Cosner.
Mr. Cosner retired in 1982 as a building engineer with Systems Development Corporation in Tyson's Corner, Va. with 24 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren and was a 15 year member of the Mount Storm Lions Club where he held the distinction of being the first member to become a Leonard Jarrett Fellow.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years Doris P. "Sally" (Amtower) Cosner; one son, Gary G. Cosner, Mount Storm; one daughter, Karen "Susie" Merritt, Mount Storm; three brothers, A. Blaine Cosner, Mount Storm, Wardney L. Cosner, Mount Storm and Ronald Lynn Cosner, Elk Garden; one sister, Norma Hanlin, Mount Storm; two grandsons, Jeff and Jason Heath, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Rebecca Davenport and Jodie Cosner both of Raleigh, N.C. and Paula Merritt, Mount Storm
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Cosner and the Rev. John Walker officiating.
Interment will be in the Mount storm Cemetery, Mount Storm.

CHARLES GIORNESTO JR.
CUMBERLAND -- Charles "Chuck" Giornesto Jr., 76, of Cumberland, died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at his home.
Born in Broad Top City, Pa., on Jan. 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Frances Mary (Palermo) and Charles A. Giornesto. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Constance Thompson.
Mr. Giornesto was a graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School, and he attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. In 1949, Mr. Giornesto became general manager of a Dodge-Plymouth Automobile franchise in Saxton, Pa., which was owned by his family. In 1961, "Chuck" purchased Kitzmiller Memorial in Cumberland, which he owned and operated until 1969. Upon selling this business, Mr. Giornesto obtained his real estate and broker's license. Locally, he was the owner and operator of Giornesto-Jenkins Agency. He was also associated with the Charles Giornesto and Sons Realty Company, Inc., in Saxton.
A member of the Cumberland Board of Realtors, he served as the organization's president and board member. He was a member of the Maryland State Real Estate Board, where he served as a past state director. He was also a member of the National Real Estate Board of Realtors.
Mr. Giornesto was the President and General Manager of G&S Motors in Cumberland and the owner and operator of Giornesto Chevrolet and Oldsmobile in Keyser, W.Va. While in the Automobile Business, he was a member of the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Automobile Association.
Chuck along with his wife Doris (Martin) Giornesto attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cumberland, and Southwest Community Church in Bermuda Dunes, Calif. He had been a member of the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, the Cumberland Rotary Club, the Bedford Elks Club, Appalachia Health Planning Council, York Pointers and Setters Club, a life member of the Saxton Volunteer Fire Company, Saxton Lions Club, Saxton Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Huntingdon American Legion.
An avid golfer, Mr. Giornesto was a member of the Cumberland Country Club, where he served on the organizations board of directors. He was also a trainer of Bird Dogs, and her served as a field judge in Bird Dog competitions.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Giornesto is survived by three brothers, Sam Giornesto and wife Genevieve, Bedford, Pa., Kenneth J. Giornesto and wife Laura, Saxton, and Guy C. Giornesto, Saxton; three sisters, Josephine K. Kelly and husband William, Saxton, Mary Charlotte Neamtz, Camp Hill, Pa., and DoRee F. Kifer, Los Gatus, Calif.
At Mr. Giornesto's request, his body will be cremated at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Crematorium. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 12 noon. with his brother-in-law, Cannon Rev. Harold E. Kline officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that tokens of sympathy take the form of contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
