BILLIE D. JENKINS
RIDGELEY, W.Va. -- Billie Dale Jenkins, 59, of Carpendale, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Memorial Hospital.
Born on Aug. 11, 1941, in Augusta, he was the son of the late William Melvin Jenkins and Anna Virginia (Mayhew) Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Frederick and Robert Cowgill; and a sister, Dorothy Rhodes.
Mr. Jenkins was a route driver for Overnite Transportation and attended Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Cumberland Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #245, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #271, Mountain Top Hunting Club, and was a former employee of Celanese Fibers Corporation of America.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. (Gillum) Jenkins, Ridgeley; two sons, Billie Dale Jenkins II, Paw Paw, Dale A. Jenkins and wife Peggy, Wiley Ford; two daughters, Tina M. Jenkins, Romeoville, Ill., Julie A. Tallas, Plainfield, Ill.; four brothers, Edward Cowgill, Ridgeley, Clifton Jenkins, Ridgeley, Donald Jenkins, Cumberland, Md., and Larry Jenkins, Cumberland; two sisters, Ann Kenny, Ridgeley, and Ramona Hedrick, Cumberland; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Rachel and Alexandria Jenkins, of Cumberland, Brianna Tallas, Sara Jenkins, Shelby Jenkins and Jared Richarte of Illinois, Hunter and Savana Jenkins of Wiley Ford; and two special friends, Marsha Brant and Sue Bradley.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
ELEANOR M. LOWNDES
BALTIMORE -- Eleanor M. Lowndes, formerly of Cumberland, died Dec. 9, 2000.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bladen Lowndes Jr.; devoted daughter of the late Marion P. and Eleanor Dorsey Macgill of Howard County; devoted stepmother of Clarke Lowndes Smart; Randall Lowndes Bryson and W. Bladen Lowndes III.
Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Cumberland, on Tuesday, April 24, at noon.
Arrangements are being handled by Henry W. Jenkins & Sons.

GALAX, Va. -- Friends for the Rev. Joseph Auld Harrison Jr. will be received at the Cumberland Pentecostal Holiness Church, Fayette Street, on Tuesday from 12 noon until 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.

CUMBERLAND -- A graveside service for Virginia L. Coffman will be conducted at the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap on Tuesday at 12 noon.
At Mrs. Coffman's request, her body will be cremated.

RANDALL L. KING
CUMBERLAND -- Randall L. King, 50, of Cumberland, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on Feb. 26, 1951, in Elkins, W.Va., he was the son of Opal (Bright) King, Elkins, and the late Harry King.
Mr. King was retired from Kingsford Charcoal Products after 26 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Kim J. (Waybright) King; one daughter, Jacklyn King; one son, Brandon King, both at home; one sister, Connie Purdum and husband Steven; one brother, Allen King and wife Susan, all of Elkins; mother-in-law, Mary Waybright, Cumberland; and two nephews, Andrew Purdum and Travis King.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.
At Mr. King's request, his body will be cremated.
Inurnment will be in Elkins, W.Va.
ROY C. KETTERMAN SR.
BOWIE -- Roy C. Ketterman Sr., 69, owner and operator of Day & Ketterman, Inc., a commercial/Residential Sheetmetal Construction Company for more than 25 years, died at his residence on April 20, 2001, in Bowie.
He died of complications related to a year long battle with lung cancer. He is the son of the late Margie and Jesse Ketterman of Rawlings. Mr. Ketterman attended Bruce High School in Westernport. Upon graduating, he migrated to the Washington Metropolitan area to begin apprenticeship as a Sheetmetal Mechanic.
He was employed approximately 15 years with the A S Johnson, Co., beginning as a sheet metal laborer and promoted to the position of Supervisor at their Washington, D.C., division.
In 1973, he began a new business venture with his brothers, Jesse and James Ketterman and Howard T. Day, to be known as Day & Ketterman, Inc. In 1975, Roy assumed sole ownership of the company.
He was a former PTA President and Boy Scout Troop Leader. Roy was a boating, fishing and camping enthusiast, and took bi-annual trips to the Chincoteague and Assateague, Islands in Virginia. He spent much of his leisure time between his properties in Thurmont and West Virginia. An avid outdoorsman, Roy was the Prprietor of the RCK Hunting Club of Burlington, W.Va., and a member of the NRA. He belonged to the Bowie Methodist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Paulee Ketterman, Bowie; his loving children, Debby S. Ketterman, Winchester, Va., Roy C. Ketterman Jr. and wife Leslie, Upper Marlboro, and Kimberlee L. Edgar and husband David, Ashburn, Va.; grandchildren, Shannon Elizabeth, Lyndsay Bree, Kylee Shea, Allan Douglas, Roy C., III, and Cody Reed; loving brothers and sisters, Rosalee Rogers and husband Junior, Thomas Ketterman and wife June, Lewis Ketterman, Billy Ketterman and wife Shirley, Jeni Taylor and husband Tom, Jesse Ketterman and wife Barbara, James Ketterman and wife Doris, Howard Ketterman and wife Donna; and the late Jean Goins and Marie Cosner.
Friends and family will be received at the Beall Funeral Home, Route 301 Crane Highway in Bowie, Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rawlings United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Brotemarkle officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
BRANDY L. DAVIS
CENTREVILLE, Pa. -- Brandy Louise Davis, 20, of Centreville, formerly of Cresaptown, Md., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2001.
Born on July 24, 1980, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of John and Rose (Davis) Davidson, Cresaptown.
Brandy was a 1999 graduate of Allegany High School. She had been employed at the Thermax Co. and had been a folder at Biederlack of America. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, Brandy is survived by two sisters, Bobby Sue Davis and Amanda Davidson, Cresaptown; one brother, John Davidson Jr., Cresaptown; her fiancé, Bryan Christopher Elliott, Centreville; maternal grandparents, Kathleen Davis and Bill Fink, Greenspring, W.Va., Carol and George Davis Jr., Cresaptown; paternal grandmother, Bertha Davidson, Cumberland; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends including, Matthew Greise, Paul Greise and Travis Barnhart.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A joint funeral service for Brandy and her daughter, Anastasia, will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Dill and the Rev. Charles Leger officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Brandy was a loving mother, daughter and fiancé. She loved her Lord, family and friends with all of her heart.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Zembower, Shawn Richardson, Jamie Growden, Tanner Defenbaugh, John Nixon Jr. and Paul Davidson Jr. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be her cousin, Joseph Golden.
